A long overdue review! I had the pleasure of working with Zet from Zarus Engines in Oakland , Ca . 1101 98 th Avenue, Oakland, CA 94603 for the repair of two Mercruiser engines on my powerboat, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the moment I walked into his shop, I was struck by his professionalism and deep knowledge of engines. Even tho he doesn’t work on marine engines he took the project and he did an excellent job! He works alone mainly and when he promised he will finish the job , he delivered . Zet was incredibly reliable and consistently delivered on his promises. He completed the repairs on time and kept me informed throughout the entire process, which gave me great confidence in his work. His attention to detail and commitment to quality truly set him apart from others in the area. Not only is he an excellent mechanic, but his dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in everything he does. I was fortunate to find his shop, and I genuinely believe that anyone in need of engine repairs or maintenance should look no further. I see customer reviews on his work which are not so nice -make me think someone had bad experience based on something else than his work or his character ,honestly because I did not have that experience at all. If you're seeking a trustworthy and highly skilled mechanic , I wholeheartedly recommend Zet. Thank you for working hard to get my engines working again.

Good work, honest and knowledgeable. Zarus has fix multiple engines for me. Toyota R20 and Toyota 2F. No short cuts with him. Yo recomindo a Zarus. El es un buen mecanico, sabe lo que hace y es honesto. El me ah ajudado con mis motores y transmiciones para los Toyotas.

I stripped the tensioner belt on my Honda engine, and I wanted to find a local shop that could help me out with my problem. I truly got more than I expected when I came to Zarus's Engine's R/S. Zet, the owner, is very knowledgeable and passionate about his trade. This is an honest and experienced shop, and I highly recommend it to everybody; you will not be disappointed with the quality of work you will receive.

Roger does excellent work rebuilding engines. Been to him several times, and each build has been done at the highest quality and standards. Definite recommend!
