Always fair and honest! At first look the diagnosis was a new radiator would be necessary. But when the technician got into it only the hoses and a seal needed to be replaced. Cost 1/3 of the original quote. Thank you YOST!

We love Yost! We took our van to another shop but weren’t sure we really needed the repairs they recommended. When Yost looked at it, they showed us which repairs were actually necessary and saved us a lot of money!

Make sure you know where you are calling before you order parts, called my company about a transmission told us to pull it cause they wanted it then after us pulling it (2 1/2 hours) I called and told them it was out and ready, 20 some minutes later they call back and said they didnt want it because they didnt realize we were an hour and 45 minutes away, Companies like you are going to be making it hard for others to get parts before they are paid for.

I came in because one of my brake lights was out, I asked them to fix it, probably needed a new bulb. Replacing a few bulbs cost about $80. When I got my car back my brake light still wasn’t lighting up properly, no one communicated this, as the underlying issue obviously was not fixed. I brought it back and asked them to properly fix it this time, the woman at the front desk was the only person in the whole building that was helpful. The mechanic came out to the lobby fuming saying “don’t say I didn’t fix it, cause I did”, immediately trying to argue aggressively. I showed him the light still wasn’t lighting up and he said “oh yeah, there’s another part you need replaced that we don’t have”. So he agreed that the light was not completely fixed. I told him it was not fixed and asked why we were charged when the issue I came in for was not resolved. Mechanic and was rude and claimed it was fixed and it’s not their problem. I don’t work on cars, but I could even see the issue I came in for wasn’t resolved. There was also an older gentleman at the desk while all of this was happening and didn’t do anything to offer help. No one apologized, mechanic was rude and argued with us. Very disappointed with my service. I came here before and they did a great job of breaking down cost before and estimating and making sure customers were taken care of. That doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Just an fyi, when I dropped my car off, another customer was arguing with the staff about charging her for a diagnostic when she did not ask for one. Stay away unless you want rude service and to be charged when the problem was not fixed.

I highly recommend this shop! My truck needed a fuel pump, I dropped it off and they got me in and out as quick as possible. I also highly respect the owner and operator.

Man, I am bummed to have to write this review. We have been long time Yost customers and have always been happy with the service, our vehicles, the honest mechanics, and the lack of upselling unnecessary repairs. We referred my parents and sister to use this shop and many other friends when asked. They have been a reputable and honest company for many years. Unfortunately, the quality of service and integrity of the company have been waning over the years. When Yost Senior retired, we started noticing the shift toward money grabs over customer service. After years of patronage and die-hard loyalty, we're in the market for a new go-to mechanic. Recommending unnecessary fixes, charging for diagnostics when we told them tye problem, not attending to our vehicle and finishing a 30 minute fix over an 8 hr period, when we specifically asked for availability and booked an appointment, these are just a few reasons we've decided to part ways with Yost. The treatment our friends and family have received has aided in this decision. For instance, a family member had her brake pads changed. They only replaced two and told her when she picked up that the other two needed changed too. No call to get it done at the same time. She didn't specify to only do two , so she assumed all four would be done in the first place. Communication is absolutely abhorrent!! You WILL have to call them for updates and to see if your vehicle is done. I'm just really disappointed to see this reputable Christian business go this direction. We've had enough and are looking for a new mechanic now. I appreciate the years of quality work they did for us, and hope that they go back to the values that won us over many years ago, and stop focusing so much on money grabbing. I hope I hear down the line that they've gotten better and that we should return.

Been a year and some change since I made the mistake of going here. Don't go off of reviews,they had a plus 4 rating. After spending over 7k for there so so work on my vehicle. I had to spend an additional 4k to fix there work. They are liars and cheaters,and only care about the money. I recommend finding an old school mechanic,that cares and pay him. Because these piss poor excuses for mechanics at this so called auto shop,that looks brand new,will screw you over. They might be good at changing tires,anything over a 1 handicap,look around. Just them not commenting on these reviews,should tell you,what kind of repair shop this is.

I've lived in Wichita for nearly five years I've been looking for a mechanic ever since. I've tried many and I feel like I got ripped off. I was recommended to go to see these guys for a radiator flush. They did a great job. Kind, friendly, and I was in and out in less than an hour.

Nice people and nice drivers. The first few times I’ve been here (early 2023) I had a fairly good experience. But this last time has me thinking I’m not going to come back. I took my vehicle in to get a part replaced and figure out what this vibrating/grinding noise was. They charged me $700 to fix the noise. I didn’t get to speak to a mechanic about what they did despite asking. But when I was driving it after picking it up, I could still hear it even worse than before. I took it back where they had it for a couple days where they determined they can’t duplicate the sound. I went to pick it up and instantly heard. Right away. I thought about stopping and going back but if they “missed it” this time then I don’t see a point in going back to them. A bit disappointed.

Right off the bat, I was very impressed with how professional they were and how quickly they were able to get me in. Less than a day passed and they had already diagnosed the issue and called me with a quote, at which time things went downhill. The quote for front brake pads was astronomical, and they told me that was primarily due to the time they spent diagnosing. I do not think it should take any substantial amount of time to measure brake pads and was very upset at this point, so I sent an email to them expressing my issue with paying $420 for 2 brake pads, which they never replied to. However, when I went in to pay the bill and pick up my car, they had waived the $140 "diagnostic" and I ended up paying a reasonable price for this job . My car is older and needs more work, and Yost earned themselves a repeat customer by taking care of me and charging me a price that didn't make me sick to my stomach.

This place has gone downhill.Yost used to be my go-to for any car issues. They always worked with my budget and would communicate urgent repairs so that i wouldn’t be left without a car. However, my last experience with them (February 2023) they worked on my car without authorization and claimed to fix the issues my vehicle was having. They would “forget” or claim my warranty didn’t cover certain repairs and I would be forced to pay out of pocket. My last experience was so bad I was shocked. I would never recommend this business. Please get a second opinion before going to this place. I promise you you will end up with empty pockets and a vehicle full of problems. If i could give it zero stars I would. They do not keep customers top of mind at all. Also a coolant replacement shouldn’t cost me $1300.
