⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t say enough good things about YHS Automotive! From start to finish, the experience was smooth, easy, and completely transparent. Mark, my technician, did an amazing job getting me in quickly and walking me through everything. He explained the work in detail, making sure I understood each step. A huge shoutout to Eric, the General Manager, who runs the shop with honesty and professionalism. The team here is fair, and the quality of work is top-notch—it’s done right the first time! I’ve been bringing my cars to Paul, the owner, for over 25 years. He’s one of the most honest and trustworthy people you’ll ever meet, and that’s exactly the kind of person you want working on your vehicles. There is nothing more l hate then when machanics take advantage of women. I went to YHS to get all 4 suspension struts done on a Toyota RV4 2012 SUV. I was advised not to change the springs because it was not necessary. Mark, at YHS stated most customers don't like the stiffness. I agreed not knowing much about cars, therefore l trusted his judgement. According to a family machanic, they should have put the springs on the SUV considering the car is 12 years old. I was charged $2019.00 in total and the labor did not even take 5 or 6 hours to wok on my car. What am l being charged for?? My friends said l was taken advantaged of. Never again!!!

Once again, Paul and his crew at YHS have exceeded my expectations. From my Ford F250 maintenance a while back to my wife’s Lexus tires, sensors and oil change; this shop is one you can rely on when the need arises. Be sure and give a shot and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Dishonest. Pushed for thousands of dollars in unnecessary work. Lied about problems that other mechanics could not duplicate.

I came here after being told by CB that I had no detectable brake fluid. I was there (CB) for an oil change. My brakes felt fine and my fluid brake light had not lit up my dashboard. After my oil change, I drove 2 miles to YHS where Mike and his team gave me a second opinion. They found plenty of brake fluid and reminded me they'd changed it out for me last fall. Honesty is their motto and I believe it! They have .y trust going forward. Thank you!

I took my BMW in to get an oil change and 50K check up. They were top notch in both workmanship and service. They provided great Customer service and pricing was very fair. Since I have only owned the car for a few months, I checked around before just choosing any service place. I was very pleased with their ability to get me in and service all my needs. Mike, my Service Advisor, was not only professional but delivered that personal touch that sets others apart. The entire staff was extremely friendly and treated me like a person, not just a paying Customer. By far one of the best mechanic shops I have ever dealt with over the years. Kudos Team!!

Took my daughter’s older car in for a check up. I was expecting numerous repairs but was pleasantly surprised! Our technician recommended basic maintenance which was taken care of easily and at a fair price. Thank you!

Great customer service! They brought me into their shop to have the mechanic explain to me what was going on with my car. Never had that happen before. Definitely will use them again.

I had high hopes for the place when I initially brought my 2016 Honda Civic in after doing some heavy research. Brought my car in because it was hesitating pressing the gas pedal anytime I was at a stop. I explained in detail to Jacob, who at first was very helpful even offered me a loaner car while they worked on my vehicle. He brought me in to meet the tech, advised my back brakes needed to get done which I approved as well as some fluid changes that needed to get done, I’m positive I approved that as well, but again back to the initial problem with the car hesitation the tech said the alternator was fine, but the battery was not. I advised I just got the battery replaced through Costco and I would check. Jacob checked me out pretty quickly, I even got the loaner car, I followed up with Jacob that Costco has my battery under warranty I would drop it off, did that and my car was ready for pick up. Came and picked up the car it worked all for 3 days and would not start at all this time so I had to get it towed, called Jacob and advised what was happening this time no start no clicking I was told to bring it in, I have triple A so no big deal, hesitant however since now the car won’t start at all even with a jump. I ask if there is a loaner car since it sounds like the car would not be ready for sometime and I had work, he stated no there were none available, however I was looking to my left while we were outside and the exact loaner car I used was sitting right there (could have been reserved) but honestly I felt like I was just being rushed out of there. Also that I couldn’t leave my car as they were closing up shop, but that I could come drop off the next morning, however even more concerning by (wrangling the gate open myself as he states it does not lock) and to leave the keys in a gray mail/drop box. Very different customer service this time around. Not comfortable with that I wait until normal business hours - I just needed them to fix the issues at hand. Triple A drops off the car and I get a call from Jacob later on that day now stating that it’s the starter and an exorbitant amount to get that part fixed. I advised I’ll have triple A come get the car because ATP I am now distrustful and want a second opinion. Well thank God I did, I had a mechanic look into the issue, come to find out it was not the starter he pulled it out show it to me part still worked, but it was however the alternator which the tech at YHS I remember clear as day stated it was not. Side note I called YHS that same day I got my car back to get the store managers name Eric and have the text to confirm was the well. I should’ve followed through and emailed or called him, my experience with YHS was very concerning, especially after the shady self drop off Jacob informed me to do. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will also be sharing my experience with BBB. ***Update: 12/2/2024*** I received a follow-up call from Eric, the General Manager at YHS, and I must express my appreciation for his attentiveness. Despite my tight schedule at work, Eric took the time to reach out and sincerely apologize for my previous experience. He not only acknowledged my concerns but also took proactive steps to address them. I am truly impressed by the thoroughness and professionalism demonstrated in his follow-up. Thank you, Eric, for your commitment to customer satisfaction!

I have been a customer of YHS for many years. Every maintenance, service and repair has been excellent. My most recent experience was excellent as well. It was a relatively simple repair but needed to be done before the vehicle could be driven safely. In this case it was something I couldn’t do myself due to an injury. I called YHS and they made a time that day for my daughter to bring the vehicle. I rode along and was met by Mike at the front. He verified the issue with the vehicle, took the keys to the vehicle and went to the back. One of the mechanics came and got the vehicle, pulled it into the shop bay, and 5 minutes later the car was back out front. I went up to pay for the service. Mike went into the back office with the paperwork, came back out front, handed my daughter the keys and said have a great day. I did not expect that. It’s just another reminder of how great it is to have a neighborhood automotive service that is like taking your vehicle to friends and family. They are professional, do great work, make honest recommendations on service and are genuinely nice people. I appreciate the personal service and the fact they get to know you.

Paul and his team are AMAZING & HONEST, which are hard qualities to find these days. Especially in an auto shop. Our entire family has been going to YHS Auto for all of our auto repair needs for this reason over the years now. Reasonable pricing and professional staff/service advisors! YHS is my go-to place for everything from oil changes to maintenance. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. What I like and appreciate most is that I have NEVER felt pressured into anything related with maintaining our cars. The staff makes suggestions and are always clear on whether something needs to be addressed immediately or can wait until the next visit. I highly recommend YHS!

YHS performed the 105,000 mile service for my 2007 Honda Accord V6 during the week of May 3, 2021. This included hoses, belts, and fluids replacement; new serpentine belt, timing belt, pulleys, water pump, oil change, new spark plugs, general tune up, interior air filter, etc., and complete inspection of vehicle, including battery, brakes, alignment, and a test drive. I recently replaced tires and I rejected the available tire rotation. I had recently installed a new aftermarket KN Air filter and rejected service for this. At separate cost, the broken passenger side motor mount and the front hydraulic motor mount were replaced. Cam seals and oil pump were serviced/rebuilt to address leaks. This was substantial service and took about two days from job start to completion, which I consider very reasonable. I liked the price package offered and the 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty provided for these repairs. Paul, Beau, Joyce, and Jaime all interacted with me. They are experts, professional in every way. My vehicle now feels and drives like it is brand new. This is not my first occasion to use YHS. They previously replaced my rack and pinion steering for a price that was lower than that offered by several local Honda dealers. YHS has earned my trust and I am extremely pleased with my experiences here. I have received no inducements to provide this review - I am simply a very satisfied customer. Following up: On 2/15/2023, YHS performed a rack and pinion steering replacement under warranty, for the unit they had restored about three years earlier. Paul said that it is rare for these units to fail, yet he stood by his word, without hesitation or question, to make the repairs at no cost to me. I appreciate Paul’s honesty, the example he sets for an exceptional staff, the expertise, and attention to detail he provides his Customers. My car feels brand new. Following up: On 11/12/2024 YHS replaced the front and rear struts, coil springs, and bushings. They then performed a 4 wheel alignment. The air conditioning system was also not cooling and a dye was injected to investigate potential leaks, and two relay switches were found to be faulty and replaced. YHS did an excellent job with the repairs and also cleaned the exterior, engine bay, and interior. The car now has 131,000 miles and looks and runs like almost new. We could not be happier!

YHS was my go to car mechanic for two years. I even referred friends there because I thought they were good. I was charged for a ridiculous service today. The silly charge made me think about their ethics and customer service. I will not be returning. I will stick with the many other businesses in Katy who treat their customers well.

Got two cars repaired with them. All unnecessary repairs. Overpriced money makers. They just want more business. You will be treated very nicely so that you can pay them what they want. Nice bluff game in this shop. Please help yourself and go somewhere else I didnt even realized how fake they were and their focus is just to get paid because they have to make certain amount to be in business. Please take your cars to real mechanics.

Great service, went in without an appointment, and the staff was really nice. They had a car to be checked before mine, and I was in and out of there with in 30min with a passed inspection. Definitely will go back there next year.

They are unprofessional, fake people, misdiagnosed 2 times to make money, did overpriced repairs with no clear explanation, Misdiagnosis of the problem leading to unnecessary work. If you are extremely rich and want to spend your money without caring, please go ahead visit these guys and they will give the highest prices ever, bring issues that never existed and make up something that needs urgent care in order to pressurize you to give them the work. They are so desperate to make money that any car that goes there has to have something done atleast for a $1k-2k. They will sugar quote things, make it look really nice and they behave very friendly with you so that they can disguise whats coming next. Before you even realise, you gets caught up badly. Beware of these people, I WARN YOU All !!!!!

Had a free inspection coupon that was mailed from this place. I left my car here and they offered me a free ride home, despite the free coupon too! Service was surprisingly fast. They're amazing people who seem passionate on what they do. Much respect to the team.

Started using YHS Automotive during Covid as they were in the neighborhood and following covid protocols. Their work is fantastic and done in a timely manner. Their prices also appear to be very fair on the various services they have performed on both of our family vehicles. I highly recommend YHS Automotive.
