Driving down the highway I ran over a wire and punctured my exhaust. I drove over here and they quickly repaired the hole for a very reasonable price, highly recommend!

Had my catalytic converter chopped off and they were able to work with my insurance, install a new converter, and install an anti-theft measure in just two working days and during Christmas week! Do not hesitate and just go here and get it done, easy.

My catalytic converter was stolen in SF. I didn’t know what to do, so I googled and found Yao Auto Repair. I called them and spoke to Janet who was extremely helpful, friendly, professional and patient. I was just so impressed by her service. And then the job.. wow they did such a great job….! Pricing was fair and they were pretty quick. I appreciated that they even washed my car! (After catalytic converter was stolen, I had my car sitting in my driveway for almost 2 years, so yah, car was a little dirty. Anyways, Janet & the Guys are amazing!!!

Fantastic staff and amazing prices! The only shop around with integrity. While everyone else is looking to line their pockets with gold at your expense, this shop is a hidden gem doing business the way you would hope everybody did , honest, fair and professional. Thank you Yao for giving me back a little faith in humanity. It's good to know there are still people out there like you and your staff. I don't ever give reviews but I just had to this time. Great service, quick, and very friendly! Recently had my catalytic converter stolen and had to get an aftermarket one put on at a mechanic. One of the people at One Toyota recommended Yao for custom catalytic converter guards (basically steel cable and rear welded onto the whole thing, making a cage) so I called them when I picked my car up and they were able to get me in within 20 minutes. When I left my car there and walked away they called me back and pointed out whoever replaced my cat hadn't put in the mounting bolts so the whole things was hanging a little loose. Thankfully I had the original bolts in my trunk from when the cat was stolen, but they put those bolts in for me no problem. Was very satisfied with the service and the guard cage looks nice and sturdy too!

Very positive experience at Yao's. Made an appointment with them to install a catalytic converter theft deterrent. They were very professional and knowledgeable, and everyone I interacted with was super nice. I experienced great service with fair pricing. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

Came to get a suspension job toyota prius 2015 and BAISHEN, in collaboration with his father YAO who owns and operate a EXHAUST SYSTEM SHOP, a block away from each other, THEY HAVE REMOVED MY GOOD WORKING CATALYTIC CONVERTER , AND INSTALLED A DAMAGE ONE. Leaving me with thousands of dollars in damages. Please don’t come here: Police report has been filled. If you are another of his victims please contact us.

Yao’s is the gold standard for how a business should operate. When my catalytic converter was stolen, my neighbor recommended this shop. They took my car right away and I picked it up just a few days later. The prices are fair. The shop is clean. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Not only did they replace my converter quickly, but when my check engine light came on the next day, they offered to check it out right away (it ended up just being the sensor). It’s clear they stand by their work and take pride in providing great service. I wish they did regular maintenance. If I could, this would be the only place I’d bring my car.

I BROUGHT MY OWN HIGH PERFORMANCE MUFFLER IN & THEY CHARGED ME $120.00 TO WELD IT ALL UP..EXCELLENT WORK AND VERY NICE PEOPLE 👍 I WOULD DEFINITELY GO THERE AGAIN IF I NEED ANYTHING ELSE FIXED IN THE NEAR FUTURE 👍

I am so happy I went to Yao! A thief stole my catalytic converters shortly before I planned to go on a big road trip. Janice behind the desk did amazing work dealing with my insurance and making sure the estimate was accurate. She also helped ensure that the repairs got done on a quick timeline so I was able to go on my trip. The technicians were wonderful too. They had to do a lot of custom fabricating because drop-in parts were on back order. These guys are incredible welders and they created a custom pipe/converter assembly that works great and will last a long time. They also added anti-theft protection with beefy rebar and steel cable that hopefully deter the next would-be thief. I could not be a happier customer and highly recommend Yao Auto Repair to anyone who needs exhaust work.

Janet was a great communicator. The work done was excellent I had them attach exhaust that was cut. They also do catalytic converter protection services. Quick and efficient, will come back in future. Very cute Doberman dog named Jameson.

Very helpful, both times I've visited. The work they did was solid and professional. I have an old truck, and they replaced missing brackets and clamps. New muffler is a better fit and is nice and quiet. My new tailpipe is of good heavy-gauge steel. It's so refreshing to find a skilled pro with old-school commitment to quality workmanship.

Yao auto repair has very friendly and knowledgeable service personnel who helped me with filling my claim. They had a catalytic converter and did my repair work immediately after the claim was approved. Very nice people to work with and did a great job.

I don’t leave many reviews BUT I had to in this situation. I’m working on an old car and needed ALOT of custom exhaust work to accommodate with new transmission and crossmember. Not only did they accommodate but I was able to do it as a walk-in and at a great price!!! Very good work as well!!! Thank you for helping me out! The New Owners are great!!!! I must add other muffler shops in the area turned the job down as it was a lot of work but not this family owned business, THEY DID AMAZING !!!

I visited Yao Auto today for cables protecting my catalytic converter on a Prius. Service was $250 and I was done in less than 30 minutes! The technician showed me how the cable was welded to cover the place where thieves place a saw, plus multiple other points securing the converter to the undercarriage. Highly recommend having this done before your cat is stolen - I wish I hadn’t had to pay that $3k at the dealer to get mine replaced before doing this.
