I took my truck to get a engine swap they did not wire my new engine all they did was took the old one out mounted the new one put manifolds and a intake and charged me $3500 it was a rip off

My husband and I stopped as good Samaritans to help an elderly man whose car broke down on 40th and Hillsborough. We couldn't jump his car so we helped push it into the Express Auto Care driveway so we weren't in the middle of the road working on this vehicle. Obviously it's safer. The manager of the store came out and started screaming at me my husband and the man about how we are blocking his driveway and hurting his business. When I calmly responded to him explaining we were just taking the battery out to put a battery my husband and I had in the car he very loudly and rudely told me I was a woman and he would not discuss this with me!!?!!? Well I would guess probably half or more of his customers are women. All this to say... A man who runs a shop saw my husband and I helping a elderly man with car problem and instead of helping him he was only concerned that one of the two driveways was going to be blocked and hurt his business. He I guess "reminded" me that I was a woman and put me in my place where I should be. The elderly man was very sweet and tried to compensate us (which we would not accept) but what is happening in this world? I mean when did money and sexism become more important than helping someone in need. It's sad to say that around the holidays I would expect more, but we need to do better. Anytime someone is in need and you are able to help you should. We aren't mechanics but we still went around the block to help, more than the owner/manager of Xpress Auto Care would do for an elderly man who needed a helping hand. Oh and I would suggest being kind and respectful to women, if for any other reason than they provide money in your pocket (since that seems to be your only motivation)
