I scheduled an appointment for a State Insoection on Wednesday 8:30am. They called me back and asked if I could pick another day. I asked for that Friday 8:30 am. "No problem". I drop my car off at the appropriate time. These inspections are a 30 min affair normally. I haven't heard any by 11am, so I call and am told my vehicle is just now being looked at. Around 2pm I get an email detailing things that need to be fixed. I had to call the shop back to confirm repairs. I was told end of the day. End of the day I'm told first thing in the morning. They have been open for 2.5 hrs and still not done. If they were realistic with time estimates I wouldn't be mad, but the constant pushback is bullshit. They dont.

Had state inspection done and rear brakes plus a battery put in. Brakes were recommended earlier and battery had died bad cell. Love that they inspect car and prioritize what needs to be done. Always a great job at a fair price

I dropped my corvette off there for a random misfire... I was called the next day saying how much it would be to repair my vehicle! Two days later they called me and said that they can't fix it and I need a new or rebuild motor and charge me over $1400 to misdiagnosed and replace spark plugs! Picked my car up and it was worse than when I dropped it off! PLEASE PLEASE DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH WOODIES!!!! THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!! P.S. when to another shop and car is running fine for under $150 total rip off

Update - Service remains excellent. Mike and company are great and very customer focused. Shuttle service is a one of a kind. All work done is excellent. Would not use any other repair shop. Kyle kept me informed throughout the repair process and all the work was done as promised. Have used them since I moved to Ballantyne 8 years ago and would not change. Give them a try

Austin at Woodies, Ballantyne is awesome! Had a handful of problems with my Toyota and Austin, Eddie, and the others offered great customer service and got me back on my wheels. Also, really appreciated the waiting room snacks and coffee, and the free shuttle service!! Thank you to everyone at Woodies Ballantyne!

Highly recommend going here and asking for Ryan. The amount of professionalism, patience, transparency, and thoroughness Ryan showed throughout the entire process was a breath of fresh air. We had a work vehicle dropped off and there was quite a bit of work to be done. Ryan told me it would be all completed in 48 hours and he had it finished before that deadline. You can get work done on your car anywhere, but you can’t get customer service like that anywhere. Thank you Ryan!

I had my 2006 Ford Expedition in because the check engine light was coming on and showed "unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum". I assumed it was the purge valve which I mentioned when I brought the car in. However, it was the release mechanism attached to the gas tank. That was fixed, along with some other things. However, within a day of getting Expedition back, the "check gas cap" notice came on (although the check engine light did not). I took the Expedition back in and they did a diagnostic on it and determined that in fact, the hose into the purge valve on the firewall was split. Don't get me wrong, the work they did was good, but given the original reason for bringing it in, they should have checked the system all the way through the purge valve on the firewall. If so they should have caught that as it was pretty much in plain sight or would have been seen by checking the hoses all the way through. I should not have had to pay another $100 plus for labor where a visual check of the whole system would have caught the issue in the first place. Otherwise, there work was good and I do not have a complaint about the service.

Called and scheduled appointment just for NC inspection, provided make and model and confirmed that they work with high roof vans (Ford Transit-250). Arrived at appointment time and was rejected due to “they don’t work with heavy duty tall vans and they don’t have gate/lift to fit”. I personally spoke at South Carolina location and they do work with my type of vans, but can’t help with NC inspection and directed me to Ballantyne locations. But in fact Ballantyne location don’t work with vans… So if you have high roof van keep that in mind. I have to go to SpeeDee again…

Not sure we'll be back. We took our car in for AC work in May. The system worked but not great and the car is 12 years old so it's understandable. they replaced the compressor and returned the car. two months later the AC quit working completely and this time we were told it was a leaking line. We reluctantly agreed and had the line replaced. the AC is still not great but better. We asked for a senior manager to give us a call (I am in the customer service business and wanted to give some private feedback). I was told that he was too busy and would not be calling. Sad. They did give us a credit toward the second repair which was appreciated. Overall we were not satisfied with the work and will find another avenue for our car service needs.
