Recently had to have a recall for the torque converter done on my 2018 Honda Pilot as well as a failed high pressure fuel pump replaced. I made the mistake of allowing WH Honda to do the work. I generally work on all my own vehicles and have for the last 25+ years. I worked at a garage my neighbor owned during college with ASE certified mechanics. This to say I have been around cars modifying and fixing them since I was 14, hence why my neighbor gave me a job while. Hard to ignore passion I guess. I didn't have time to handle this and had my home lift tied up with a project car of mine, and well, a recall is only able to be done by a dealership. That said, this is the second recall/time they have touched this car in 112k miles and the second time I had to bring it back right away due to very obvious problems from their work quality. This even after I explicitly discussed with the service advisor my concerns about taking their time to do it right because of my first experience here. They won't see my car a third time. In this case it had a transmission fluid leak as soon as I pulled into my driveway,. First time they did a recall on the injectors and they didn't fully connect a ground strap for the injectors causing to car to buck and surge while driving. This time the mechanic also left witness marks everywhere, from missing clips and wire retainers to very visible marks from using "a bigger hammer" to break the lower ball joint loose instead of the tools shown in Honda service manuals. I have changed the struts on the car myself which requires disconnecting the ball joint too and you couldn't tell it was worked on after I was done other than it rode like new. They also ripped the rubber boots on the sway links as well and not even care to point out or fix and these were definitely in perfect shape before they touched it. They didn't secure the lower metal splash shield so that was making noise while driving after picking it up the second time. This even after reiterating frustration with the advisor about having to bring it back and expectations for quality check after the work to fix the leak. I also had to clean and degrease the under carriage to get rid of all the he transmission fluid that was everywhere to get rid of the burning transmission fluid smell since it was left all over the exhaust and suspension parts. If they don't do the small stuff right, how can you ever be comfortable they did the stuff you can't see correct. My advice is find another dealer for recall work and service or a private owned garage where they care more about the quality of their work especially since WH Honda charges $230 an hour. Most small shops and even customs ships in Tampa I work with don't charge that. This is some of the worst quality control I have I have ever experienced. They certainly don't test drive and verify the work from what I can tell. Service advisor was a nice guy but that is about the only part of the experience that was positive. Also don't let them drop you off for a rental car they are offering before verifying there is actually a car to rent. They offered to pay for a rental because I had to bring it back that next morning and were not sure how long it would take to fix the transmission leak. Well, Enterprise didn't have any and didn't know when. The rental agent said this happens with WH Honda more often than it should. I finally gave up and got a ride home. Smart move as they never got a car for me. Will add photos shortly that show the issues I found once I got the car on the lift a home.

I like that I can get right in when I call for an oil change, what I don't like is they try to always tell you you need other service that you really don't need, however the free car wash, and a tire plug were first rate

I am always treated with care at Winter Haven Honda. No one tries to sell me unneeded items and my car is always very clean when I leave. I think my inside windows were washed along with the rest of my car.

My service representative was David. He was very professional, courteous and friendly. The recall I brought the car in for was resolved quickly and efficiently. The diagnostic was done quickly and my issue was explained clearly. That said, I am disappointed with Honda. Not the dealership itself but American Honda Corporation. There is a known issue which they communicated to all dealerships. The issue is with 2018 to 2022 Accord 1.5 Turbo sport models. My car matches the criteria, down to the year, make, model, trim level and problem/defect. Honda will not assist with this because although my car is the same year, they only go back to May and my car was manufactured in March of the qualifying year.

Our 2019 Honda Civic electronics were totally dead when trying to open the trunk. NONE of the electronics were working. Upon checking the engine compartment, I noticed all battery connections were loose and also the battery was not properly secured in place,. The technician was careless and could had caused damages and worst a horrible accident. I STRONGLY encourage you to revamp your QUALITY CONTROL on all service provided by your techs and supervisors.. In 5 years as a customer, I expect the highest quality in your service and products. We, your clients, expect a top notch quality of service for the price we are paying to keep our Honda running in peak performance!
