Update 2015: This place is STILL Overpriced and lack good communication skills. An entire 7yrs later & that much has not changed at all...proof ...someone at the shop removed my husband's inspection sticker " by mistake" and then constantly asked him if his sticker was dirty because it didn't have a vin # on it. I went and checked my own inspection sticker and mine doesn't have a vin number on the back either, but I have the paperwork for mine from an actual dealership. I guess my sticker was stolen too🙄.I definitely talked the shop where his inspection was done and they revealed that Wilder's has lost their license several times before. I'm not surprised at all and asked my husband what even made him go there because we already knew this place was One of the worst. Hence the original post from 7yrs ago. Even if his car does need work for safety, it passed inspection in October 2024 so you all had NO BUSINESS removing it in January 2025.It doesn't even make sense for that to be an honest mistake, who gets their car passed and then go to get it inspected again within 3 months.Fixed yes, inspected no. P.S. You didn't have my name back then either, but I'm not dumb enough to let anyone there touch my vehicle, just my husband who be having faith in the wrong companies.

I had been visiting this establishment for years for inspections without any issues. However, since a new inspector/mechanic has been hired, I, along with many others, have unfortunately failed inspections. It appears that they may be pretending to fix problems, as the issues resurface shortly after leaving the establishment. I have chosen to stop supporting them. The owner needs to address this matter and ensure that the establishment operates with integrity and professionalism. Edited to respond to owner: You have the wrong person. I am not who you are describing in your LONG detailed reply.

Made a trip to Williamsburg VA the weekend of 06/15/2024 from NYC for a wedding. On the drive down my driver side wheel bearing was making a horrible humming sound! This place literally saved my trip. Dustin and his staff were so wonderful and hospitable to my gf and I. It was clear that the place was busy and they had a ton of cars to work on. I had to get my car fixed or I wouldn't be able to make the rehearsal dinner or actual wedding the next day. He squeezed my car into his busy schedule and his colleagued worked on it. Turned out my part was seized due to the rust. Man that mechanic went crazy trying to get it off. Dustin was so kind and accommodating, we had very pleasant conversations and his dog was so friendly! Best experience I've had with a mechanic. They were honest and communicative about the work progress. The problem was fixed same day and I made it in time for the wedding rehearsal. The drive back was smooth. Next time I'm down there visiting family again, I'll stop by to say hi.

Ms. Jamie and the staff were friendly as well as professional. I had a lot of things that needed to be replaced and that was communicated to me from the very beginning and the work was completed without any problems. As a woman, it’s not always a pleasant experience taking my car to a repair shop but I must say that at Wilder’s that was not the case. Thanks for all you did for my car. We appreciate your service.

Nice guy, I dropped it off with-in an hour he called told me what I need I said sure let's do it, within an hour and a half it was fixed ready to go. Prices seemed reasonable, lower than some of the places had quoted me for the things I wanted.

This place is very unprofessional! I went in yesterday to receive a wheel alignment and the front desk woman told me to come back early in the AM for the service and she would place me ahead of everyone. I got there first and she stated that she could not perform the service on my car because she had others before me from the day prior and that I needed to feel out a slip in order to be serviced first, which she did not mention the day prior. It’s unfair to make promises to customers, especially when we all have jobs and responsibilities and our cars need to be serviced to handle those responsibilities. I will not be supporting this facility and encourage others not too as well. There were 3 other customers who were made the same promise and did not receive a service either. Stop wasting people time!!!

I brought a Cat Security Catalytic Converter Shield I had purchased for my 2018 Toyota Tundra to have it installed. The job was completed in less than 2 hours and looks great. The staff was very friendly and professional.

Some people thank getting a car inspected is trauma but in essence it helps you too keep up with your vehicle repairs. Wider's Tire and Auto Repair helps me too be tune in on my vehicles. Stop trying too put a bandaid on it and fix it your vehicle will last longer. I have been with them for awhile and so far I have trust their judgment. 😊

Very unprofessional, charge for calling the warranty company. He hung in my face when I asked for an invoice to send my finance company. This has been worse experience when dealing with an auto shop. I will never go back.
