Yes. Wayne is the real deal. So happy I was referred to this place by the guys over at Mike’s Boise Clutch. My transmission light had been coming on off and on for over a year on my CR-V. The first time it happened, we were on vacation in Coeur d’Alene. Got an expensive emergency transmission flush (which, thanks to Wayne, I now know that transmission experts don’t really recommend on an older transmission for this model) at a Honda dealership which seemed to resolve it until the next time we took a road trip. Had it into the Honda dealership here and they literally couldn’t figure anything out because the light wasn’t currently on when I brought it in. Wayne took the time to properly diagnose the problem (and it was the third of three potential things he thought it could be so it took some time) and also gave me tips about the quirks of my particular transmission and on maintaining it that the supposed experts at the dealership apparently have no idea about. Also, the service actually ended up being less than the quoted price because my car took less transmission fluid than he thought it would - when does that ever happen? - and he stayed late for me to pick my car up after work. He books out, but is worth the wait and I will definitely only go to him for my transmission from now on. Actual knowledgeable, honest, and fairly-priced experts are such a rare and invaluable thing!

Fantastic job! Wayne rebuilt my transmission, put in a Gear Vendor overdrive unit, and fixed many other drive train issues on my 1971 Cuda at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!!!

I took my 2011 Subaru outback that was exhibiting shifting problems. Wayne spent a fair amount of time looking at it and driving it. The problem was intermittent and did not produce any codes and his transmission diagnostics did not show any issues. in the end, he said that this was most likely something that Subaru would need to look at and based on his research, it is possible that it could be fixed with a software update to the transmission control module. I asked him how much I owed him, and he said, "Nothing". given the time spent on the car, i surely was not expecting that as an answer. it is good to see that there are people that are in business for the long term. You can bet I am telling all my friends about this place and will be going here for any transmission issues i have in the future.

Great experience. Came highly recommended from Boise clutch. Waynes, gave me two options for a 2003 high mileage 4runner. Felt like they were open and honest about pros and cons each way. I would gladly recommend them after my experience, and will use them in the future when needed.

My transmission finally went out (it’s a 1999) Wayne and his crew went above and beyond, got my truck back way faster then I expected and under cost of my expectations also. If my other vehicles need transmission work I won’t go anywhere else. Thank you Wayne!

Got my car's slipping transmission fixed for much cheaper than what i thought. Echo the experience shared by multiple other folks. The seem to take pride in their making sure they project and practice a trustworthy customer service. They were very busy and took me around a month to get an appointment, and then a day's wait to even get the car looked at. Despite that, i would consider Wayne's to be a great and a trustworthy place. They don't try to oversell nor do they try to fix things that are not needed. Definitely recommend them.

I was recommended the place to fix a leaky transfer case on my GMC Yukon. I never spoke to a mechanic but the bid was economical and that says a lot. Front desk lady was communicative and friendly. They fixed the leak, no more stains on my driveway. Would recommend!

My mechanic Mike's Boise Cluch & Automotive said this is the ONLY place in town to get your transmission work done. Since they are THE BEST it does take a while to get your car in, but it's TOTALLY worth it! They will do thorough evaluation and tell you what needs to be done with a solid price. They don't just jump to the conclusion of "you need a new transmission ". It took longer than expected due to supply chain issues, but my car runs like it's BRAND NEW! The transmission is perfect and smooth! The cost ended up being about $57.45 more than the original price. They charged me the ORIGINAL PRICE! Honest, awesome customer service with a one year, 12k Mile warranty! I just found my new transmission place!

I have a 1937 coup street rod and I am very critical of any work done on her. I had a leaking rear trany seal and some other issues. Wayne’s came highly recommended and they got my car in when they said they would and kept it safe inside after the work was done until I could pick her up. When you call to talk about an appointment it does not take long to figure out Janessa really knows transmissions when you are asking questions. I recommended a friend with transmission problems he is having with his Motorhome to go to Wayne’s and that is the best rating I can give is to recommend a place to a friend. Plus they recommended a place to have some custom work done I needed. Very happy with Waynes

They're very underrated compare to the other shops out there. They were honest and rebuilt my crown victoria 4r75e. I asked what was the cause of it or have pictures of the issue. They showed me the old parts explained the cause of the issue. Price was also good. Thank goodness they solved the issue.

Wayne and has crew were really "there for me" recently when I needed to get the transmission of my '94 Dodge B250 van (that I use for work) rebuilt/overhauled. Caring and generous-spirited far beyond just that they really know what they're doing and do it with pride and excellence. Great mechanical work... Exceptionally kind-hearted too. I thank them, and the several auto repair shops that referred me to Wayne's. Everyone says they're the best... and I completely agree.
