I figured to give a Walmart Auto Care Center a shot recently. But my experience was not at all satisfactory. Walmart Auto Care Center doesn’t bother to answer or respond to phone calls. Their facility at 35th Avenue and Southern Avenue is from my perspective understaffed. Rarely any counter service. Waits at the counter go on forever. And, apparently, technicians don’t appear to be the most qualified either. I have found no evidence of certifications anywhere in their waiting area. It’s no wonder this Walmart location scores a really, really, really low 1.5 score on Yelp! And a mediocre 3 on Google! I recently purchased tires from Walmart online. Arranged for scheduling an appointment for installation online. I had to physically go to the store days before to get confirmation. Then I did not get any online notification until the day of! That morning! The day of had tires installed everything was fine until after leaving, my vehicles’ tire pressure sensor went ballistic. I’ve been calling to resolve the issue to no avail. It’s been more than a week… into the second week, no one still picks up the phone!!! I’ve had to take my vehicle elsewhere to resolve the issue. Never will I be back for any service. Walmart, I hope you read this!

I prepaid 4 tires that had to be special order. On my way to get them installed, walmart cancels the appointment. I called and asked why was it canceled, I was told the tires are not there yet, they will call me back. A week passes by and I have not gotten a call back. It is IMPOSSIBLE for someone to answer the phone. Their staff is so thin out, it compromises customer service. Finally after days of trying, I'm told the tires are there. I set up the appointment, I'm running behind, I called to reschedule the appointment by being courteous and letting them know I want my tires changed. I go to get them installed and can't do it because they need to be returned them. They had them in the store, just waiting on. FexEx to pick them up. They told me they cannot touch the tires because they don't belong to me, or the store. The tires were PREPAID because they were special order. They rather let a customer go than juggle a red tape issue that has nothing to do with the customer and instead of doing what it is right, the ASM (Assistant Store Manager) can only cancel and hell knows when I'm getting my money back. This is so frustrating. They offered a gift card for my inconvenience which I refused because it is not about getting something back, but getting my tires changed!!!!!!! Think how ridiculous this sounds: they have to return the tires because they have not installed in less than 10 days. If I had decided to get the tires AGAIN, they will ship the tires from their warehouse back to the store. Walmart lost over $540 on that transaction PLUS shipping to their warehouse. They cannot deal with that internally and have a customer happy, but they have to follow their policy because otherwise they get fired and screw the customer. I need tires on my other car too and I won't be going to them again because how unprofessional, lack on attention to detail, not doing what is the right thing to do and on top, the customer means crap to them. If I could give a rating of ZERO STARS I would but it doesn't allow me.

This location is atrocious—I ordered tires on the 9th and was informed they would show up on the same week on Friday. Seems like other people are having similar issues on the matter because I’ve been cancelled on and then gone through customer service to get a refund, ONLY to find out my tires finally show up and I make a call to clarify if I can really get them installed, just to be left on a dial tone for 5 minutes at a time. Staff is thin there and it doesn’t help when everyone you talk to gives an attitude to a problem that wasn’t even started by yourself.

I made an appointment and showed up 30 minutes early but when I got there, I couldn’t tell if it was open or not and I waited outside for someone to come to the vehicle to check in, but no one came for 15 minutes so I went inside to check in and then they told me I can’t check in there and I have to wait outside to be checked in. There’s no signage or line or anything to make it clear to check in and no one will come to the car. So I listened anyways I went outside and waited for someone to check me in and waited over 15 minutes again. They didn’t check me until after my appointment time. Then when I asked about the estimated completion time, they told me 30 to 45 minutes and I made sure that that’s not for when they would start working on the car but when it would be completed. They said yes that they would start in 3 to 5 minutes to start on the car after they pulled the one in front of me forward and that the car would be completed in 30 to 45 minutes. They didn’t start working on my oil change until 30 minutes after that was said and done. And I ended up waiting over an hour for my oil change. Then when I came to pick up my car, they asked if I could see my car in the parking lot and when I said no, they said “oh, just wait right here and it will eventually come out.” I waited for a little bit and the car came around and I went up to the car to get my car, but there was no check of paperwork or identification, they just handed the keys and walked away. I could’ve been anyone walking in the parking lot and they would have handed the keys to that person. They also did not show me the new oil on the dipstick or anything to show that the workplace completed and at the correct fill level.

Always have short supply on oil change. Plus when you called them they will not answer the phone so you’ve to make the trip all the way to location and you will be disappoint by the short supply.

Do not come here ! I arrived for an oil change at 8am and they were not finished until 11:30. I leave then realize my car is shaking! I come back & 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒄 𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒔 𝒎𝒆 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒂 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 & 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒊𝒍 !! (Which can damage the engine) . I then had to wait until 12:15 for them to fix it . I waited 4 hours in Walmart 8 months pregnant with 3 children 2 who are autistic! Worst experience ever . They better hope they didn’t ruin my engine

I had a appointment at 9 am for Oil Change. Service started at 9:40am. I waited until 11:20am without information so I checked at front desk. They then canceled my service at 11:40 because they cannot change my oil because they cannot open the screws. If they can’t, why they let me wait that long

Am counter shift is rude and unhelpful. I stood there for 5 minutes, they saw me, continued to ignore me, I asked for help and the lady who finally gave me attention cut me off mid question, told me she couldn't help me. I told her that wasn't my question. I finish my question and she tells me the standard walmart response "whatever we have out there is what we have"

Very sad. Kept me waiting an hour and a half only to tell me that they did not have a 22mm socket to take my wheel off. With appointment. Ended up putting the pre ordered tires in the trunk and going to another shop.

I'm absolutely furious with this place! It took them two whole days just to swap out my old four tires for new ones. Despite having an appointment, they completely misunderstood what I needed and left my car unlocked with the tires inside for an entire day. And to top it off, they put one of my tires on the spare wheel! (I had reiterated MANY times i did not want that and had the wheel the new tire belongs to in the back trunk, where the new tires also where) Their incompetence is unbelievable. Now, I'm forced to find another place to fix their mistakes because their wait times are beyond ridiculous, and everyone brushes off responsibility..

Fast! Had my car and my friends car done in less than an hour! Very friendly and gave us all the information to make the best choice of which oil change we were getting, very good experienced. I highly recommend them! And very inexpensive compared to everywhere else I had called!! I always end up coming here, just wish the Walmarts that are closer to me had an auto care department, a little drive but not really bad!

I haven't shopped at Walmart in YEARS. And I was pleasantly surprised to be reminded why. I bought tires online from them and was quoted a free install of all 4 tire with balancing and rotation to be $11 for one time and $15 for life time. Once I went to the appt. I made online they said I wasn't in the schedule. Then Made another appt. for the next day at 8. Woke up early to go to the appt. only to get a text that it was rescheduled to 9am so now I'm just waiting because I was already on my way. Once 9am rolled around I was quoted to get everything installed and out the door was $28 a tire. Loaded up my tires into my vehicle and went to the llantera down the street. MUCH rather give them my money then Wal-Mart.

I ordered tires online, and set an appointment for install. I arrived and waited outside in my car, and nobody came to check me in. I went inside and learned my tires weren't there, and nobody could track them. Total waste of my time. I canceled and went back to Discount Tire.

Made an appointment that I had to cancel. They didn't have the tires that I originally wanted to get that they said they had in stock. People getting oil changes were there for 4 hours and still hadn't gotten it changed. Avoid this place for maintenance.

Only 2 cars in front of me and I waited 2.5 hrs for an oil change. Never again! Even if there’s 2 people or 1 person. It doesn’t take that long for an oil change and if there is a problem then the customer should be updated. I shouldn’t have to ask what’s going on. I was told after 2 hrs give them 20min, came back in 20min and they just now filling up my jeep with oil. Saying they had a problem getting off the oil filter, I never had an issue getting an oil filter off. This makes me feel some type of way. First & last time coming here

Second day trying to get an oil change, got turned down the day before because line was too long. Today, there was only 2 cars, waited 30 minutes for the attendant to talk to me, finally informed me i will need an appointment. They seen me waiting, they could have told me. I usually go in as walk in for oil changes. So, I'm trying to call for an appointment and they keep hanging up on me. The phone attendant said she was new, so I was patent with first hang up, but every call since. Very bad customer service. And this place closes at 7pm. I'll never go here again.

Thank you for the affordable oil change! I just had to sit around for about 1 hour, but I was able to stay productive sitting in the air conditioning with my smartphone.

Very nice and helpful good hospitality it takes only an hour to put tire on with vandalism Insurance only an extra $10 to 12 dollars
