I brought my own oil and filter. They charged me 53$ service 2 weeks ago. This weekend I checked my oil, it looked good and new, then I checked to make sure there were no leaks or anything and noticed they didn't use my mobile 1 filter, in fact it looked like the same filter I brought my car in last time all covered in oil and dirt. I'm confused and wonder what I should do. Communication was very good during the time of service and they assured me they were using my supplied products multiple times.

I had a disappointing experience with this store's manager and service team. While the manager initially seemed polite and promised to take a critical issue seriously, her follow-through lacked empathy and accountability. Despite my reminders about the incident, she acted as if nothing happened and dismissed my concerns. Here’s what occurred: I went in for a regular oil change, and one of the mechanics strongly recommended upgrading to a premium oil change, which I accepted and paid extra for. I was advised to return after 5-6k miles. Unfortunately, after driving only 1.3k miles, I noticed strange noises coming from my car. I initially forgot about the recent service, but when I brought my car back, the mechanic pointed out that my last oil change had been very recent and questioned if I really needed another. I said yes, I do based on what I feel or strange sounds, so upon inspection, they discovered my car had no oil at all, meaning my engine was nearly destroyed. They simply added more oil. Even though the manager was present and aware of the situation, I was charged again for the add-up oil. I was told she would investigate and will call me, but that never happened, and I even was told that the next visit she would offer free services just to make up---the money I paid for the services and never received. Today, when I returned, the manager not only called me but completely ignored me, failed to offer a full apology, and did not honor her previous promise. This lack of professionalism and inconsistency nearly cost me my car due to their negligence. I strongly recommend that anyone getting their oil changed at this location double-check the service before leaving to avoid potential engine damage.

TLDR: it’s fast, no appointments, you stay in your car, they’re professional, they do a good job, they do what the manufacturer recommends. First time going to this type of shop after feeling annoyed by the dealership never having available appointments, giving me a hard time about the service package I bought with my car, and taking forever. I even had to rent a car for an appointment because they had to keep my car all day and night because they were “backed up” and didn’t comp me for anything. So, my sister told me to try Valvoline. They don’t accept my service package, but they do accept some so make sure you ask. Even without it, it was cheaper to go to Valvoline. I went after work one evening - take note that they have better hours than most dealerships. You don’t have to make an appointment! There was no line, so I pulled right up, it’s just like pulling into a car wash with someone helping you align your car, it’s easy. You actually stay in your car which was a new experience for me. If you are sensitive to sounds, you might wear headphones, but it wasn’t too bad for me, just different. If you have kids in the car, you can make it fun by telling them it’s just like they do for race car drivers because it really is! The employees at Valvoline communicated clearly with me, walked me through each step, followed the manufacturer’s recommendations for my vehicle and mileage, and didn’t pressure me to upcharge or anything. They had the screen positioned so I could see and read the information as one person went over it and the others worked on my car. They did everything I normally get at the dealership in less than 20 minutes. It would have been faster, but I had questions which they thoroughly and patiently answered. I never got that kind of service at the dealership in SD. I got the paperwork printed (by request) they typically email, but I like the paper. I compared it to my usual visit to the dealership and the manufacturer recommendations. The only difference is the price! I’m very happy with the price of the services at Valvoline. It was 1/3 of the dealership cost. They have coupons & specials on the website btw. I saw how the employees interacted with each other & it seemed positive and they worked seamlessly together. They also had good taste in music, I could hear it from the work area below. I still got the sticker for my windshield and they reset the alert for service on my car just like the dealership. My next maintenance will be at Valvoline. It’s a no brainer from now on. I’m very pleased. I don’t remember the lady’s name, but she was great. It’s been a week and my car is all good. They stand by their service. So yeah, easy peasy. Thanks!!

By far the worst service I could have gotten. It costs me $117 for an oil change and I assumed they'd do a multipoint inspection on my car, like every business would have done. But they don't. They only top off your oils. I should have gone to Jiffy Lube. It would have been a few bucks cheaper and I'd actually know how my cars doing. Don't come here. The staff wasn't particularly helpful either. They kept talking over one another and I was left completely confused.

I was in and out very quickly, despite the heat (104 degrees) the service technicians were very professional and courteous, very meticulous for every task they were performing in my vehicle. I am very pleased with this branch.

Vialette is a real one. I was having an off day and literally everything frustrated me. I came in for an oil change she was really nice and her hair pretty awesome 😎 (dark blue). I had been driving around for weeks with no brake lights but I had the replacement. I had been told they don't do that and I just haven't found the time and she just had me put the trunk and changed them for me. Not even part of her job description. It's small but it really meant a lot to me. This is my favorite Valvoline to go to. The other one sucks buckets o a$$ 😒 I've had only 1 good experience there in the 5 years I've been living here. This is the place. Also give this woman a bonus or something because she has been consistent every time I've encountered her

I’ve been here a couple times for oil change service and both have been streamlined and easy. Most recently Vianet and Taylor helped me and really went above and beyond with help. They found some additional things which needed maintenance and I they didn’t pressure me to act. Their service was so honest and kind, I decided to return later in the day for additional services once I had a chance to think about it.

Today, I had an oil change at Valvoline, and I was truly impressed by Mark and Talil. They were extremely professional, attentive, and friendly. Their warm smiles and positive attitudes made my experience even better. They took the time to explain everything clearly and ensured I was well-informed. Mark and Talil exemplify outstanding customer service and are a true asset to Valvoline. Thank you both for making my visit so enjoyable!

The staff here is very nice. They do the service quickly and interact with you very well. The only thing is that they didn't offer to reset my oil indicator, but in my car, there's an easy menu option for that - if your car has a more complex procedure, be sure to ask for it!

Updated experience - June 2024: I went for an oil change and couldn't have been happier! The team was helpful, happy, and efficient. First experience - I showed up at 5:25pm and was told they decided to close early that day. The advertised closing time was 6pm. There were no cars being serviced at the time and I saw at least four guys.

The service and getting it done was just fine, but the 3 stars are explained below. I love the convenience of just driving up and sitting there while I get an oil change. I hate saying "I just want an oil change" and then I have to sit there while they try and upsell two hundred other things. I understand a lot of those things are important, but all I want is an oil change so let's just let me sit there, lol. That's why 3 stars.

I took my car in for an oil change. There was nothing wrong with my car at all. Just went in for maintenance. I was offered an upsell to do a radiator flush even though they did say it wasn’t due through the mileage yet. I don’t drive my car much as I do work from home. I said no thank you I was just there for an oil change. Long story short. I drove home after. Didn’t use my car the next day at all. The 2nd day I did drive about 15 miles and went back home. 3rd day I’m take a drive within 20 minutes I see my temperature gauge shoot up. I turned around and drove right back home since I wasn’t far. There is no unusual noise, no stem or smoke from the engine hood, I see no leaks. I allowed the car to sit over night. I pop the hood in the morning and there is no coolant and I see a small cut/rip in the hose. I know something was done to my car here. I had never had a overheating issue. Never had an issue with the car under my ownership. I had a month prior got my brakes changed by a mechanic and had him inspect my car for me since the car was a few months new to me. Now I’m being told that my car has blown a head gasket due to the coolant and it caused issues to the engine. I’m waiting on a 2nd opinion to verify that my engine is indeed needing to be replaced. I would not recommend this place. I find it very shady and will definitely look into my options legally. I seen something similar happened to a Valvoline client in Texas. Seems like I am not the only one this has happened to.

Hands-down the best experience that I have had with an oil change place. They are extremely polite, thorough, are very clear with what they are offering you, and the DO NOT try to upsell you. I've never written a review for a chain like this, but it was great and I will be coming back in a few thousand miles. They will go by the manufacturer's recommendations for replacing parts and fluids. They'll tell you that, but they won't pressure you. A quick google search for your make and model will indicate other opinions on how regularly you need to do this stuff, so do that before you pull in, and you'll have a better idea of what you should and shouldn't pay for. Took me 30 minutes total, which included waiting ~15 minutes in line for them to finish with the car ahead of me. It was ~$200 between oil, oil filter, air filter x2, tire rotation, and labor. I declined all of the fluid replacements they offered. Do I know how to do all of these things for a lot less money? Yes. How long would it have taken? A lot more than 30 minutes, between heading to autozone, replacing the parts, jacking up the car and swapping all the tires by hand, and then having to dispose of the used oil.
