The Manager was very kind and helpful. She made sure my car was throughly inspected and even replaced the battery before I was left stranded in the cold. The mechanic cleaned the terminals and put on an anti-corrosion spray for an expert installation job. Over all I was impressed how friendly the technicians were and how the Manager double checked to be sure everything was right. All at a price that was a little less than other oil change places. At least the ones I used to go to. lol

Pretty disgusted with my visit today, to say the least. I’ve been getting my oil changed at this location for a long time. Until today, I’ve never had an issue. First off, no one ever came to my vehicle checking the turn signals as they normally do or anything else they’ve always done. I pull into the bay, they get ready to start on my change - as I watch them pull the next car in beside me, all of them rush over to that car and immediately begin to get that person taken care of, while leaving me sitting there. And this is after I watched them walk out to his car, check all his lights and signals….After all that, they get back to me, do my oil change only to bring me a dipstick to check that shows it STILL LOW!!! And they try to say I’m good to go! Um, no! And then get attitude for pointing out that it’s still low! What happened to this place? Truth be told, after being treated that way, I shouldn’t have paid for that visit. I will be taking it to be checked over to make sure it was done right and they didn’t damage my vehicle. They treated the guy next to me so respectfully and like they really cared. But I was treated like trash. Not ok!

Wind from 108 at the dealership to 76 with a coupon that was great. Only waited 20 minutes. Will go back.

ok this is an updated review. had oil changed on a Thursday lose an engine on friday do to employee no properly sitting a gasket on oil filter. I would give them a 5 star for them trying to make things right.

Currently sitting in line for well over an 1.5 hr now for an oil change and only 2 cars have made it through on bay 2. There's been no 15min anything. Idk whats changed or who, but it's not quick and painless anymore. Will try elsewhere next time.

I asked them twice about checking my tire pressure. Had no problem offering to replace my battery and air filters for $60-100. I reminded them again about my tire pressure at the end of the oil service and I was told I can loop back around so they could check. And I would be waiting in line for another 30 minutes for a service I asked you twice to check? Horrible

I went in for a oil change and I got the max life 5w-30 for my 2001 dodge ram 1500 and when the guy showed me the drip stick before I left I noticed it was only half way on the safe and I wasn’t paying attention much cuz I was distracted by other stuff I had going on so I paid $80 for a oil change and didn’t get a top off and along with that after I left I noticed my truck was smoking and I could smell oil burning so I went to check under the hood and I noticed that they spilled half of the oil I payed for and it got onto my exhaust manifold and engine block it also dripped all the way down to where the oil filter is and I keep trying to call the location and it says I’m calling outside of normal business hours but they’re open

My grandson went here 11/22/2024 and they got oil all over and under the engine of his truck . They gave a refund but they should have cleaned up all of that oil Thompson and Emerson

Sign says 15 min or less, however I spent 2 hours here. Very slow service. A lot of staff standing around chit chatting. Way too many employees here to have long wait times like they do.

Survey Comment: DJ, Informed me right of the bat that he would get me taken care of however it would take little longer due to only 2 staff members were there including him. He also advised me of the current vehicle in bay 1 still had services being completed first. I love that because it gave me a chance to stay or return later. Love how routine based the employees are. They didn't miss a beat. Very informative. Love my Franklin Twnshp Valvoline. Treat those two men to Lunch or Dinner.

Ran into an middle school friend Veronday , he throughly explained the process and what my vehicle needed. Malik & the other gentleman working on the bottom of the car were quick, efficient, and very careful while working on my car ensuring they did a quality service. I truly appreciate the service my friend Veronday, Malik, & the rest of the team did for me yesterday for my oil change. Got me ready to go in less than 10 minutes!

The staff were very friendly and professional, I did not feel pressured to buy anything extra but felt very informed about the suggested services I should get beyond an oil change. I love that the staffencourage each other and it seemed like there were some new staff members there that were being mentored. Well, the whole vibe of this location is very positive. Very pleasant, very helpful. I always feel comfortable going there. I never feel talked down to.

Tried to get my oil changed here today. Pulled in with 2 cars in front (one in the bay). Guy came out and checked me in and told me 25-30 minutes. An hour later and the vehicle that was in front of me has been in the bay for 40 minutes. Meanwhile the guy that pulled in 30 minutes after I arrived was being guided in to the next bay. Workers were moving slower than my 80 year old mother that has a deteriorated spine. You'd think someone would have come out to tell me what was going on, but no. I got out, closed my hood, went to the car behind me and asked if they'd let me out. Still no one bothered to come out. This was my second experience with Valvoline, won't be back.

I went to Valvaline for my last oil change (and every oil change before that for my 2009 Accord) and, after they were done, the workers informed me that there was a leak in the oil pan gasket and that they could fix it during my next oil change (for about $500). Months later I had a mechanic friend look at the gasket, hoping to get a better deal. He found that Valvaline had carelessly cross threaded and destroyed the head of the bolt in the bottom of the oil pan, as well as falsely claiming that there was fault with the oil pan gasket. I was very disappointed after this, and was deeply disappointed after having ordered the parts to a problem I didn’t have. A very big headache for no reason. Thanks.

I went to the Thompson/Emerson location and was blown away by the service. Vernonday especially stood out. The energy was so positive! This was my first time to a Valvoline and I will definitely be back. I believe they were training and I saw true coaching and mentoring.

Not happy with the service they provided. The filter was not properly seated nor was the gasket on the drain plug. As a result it was leaking oil. I took it to the dealership to have it done properly. I would not recommend the Valvoline Southport location.
