They kept trying to upsell me on stuff after I continuously said “just an oil change” which is their job I guess, when I got home I noticed a bolt from my skid plate which had always been there was missing. The reason I checked was because the guy under the car was cranking stuff down for probably 10 solid minutes which didn’t sound right. Called their customer service and they told me to go in, went back to the place and was told the guy who did it went home and to “just order a new one and we will put it in”. I’m not going to have these people work on my truck anymore. Somehow the oil change was $120 also, didn’t get an invoice because they said “our printers not working”

1/7/25: After getting my oil and air filter changed, I left and inspected my motor to find the 2 clips that hold my airbox closed were left dangling. The airbox wasn't sealed closed. This could have destroyed my motor.. I'm lucky to have found this in the parking lot next to this Valvoline and returned to show them their workmanship. Leaving my airbox completely unattached almost seems intentional because it was so obvious that it wasn't even connected. This was the top of my air box where the air is pulled into the motor. If you get your oil changed here or any other service, I highly recommend you thoroughly inspect whatever these technicians did.

I have been a Valvoline customer for years up until I stopped at the Hillsboro location today to get a synthetic oil change. First I received 2 different quotes (with the last one being the highest go figure) next came a complete onslaught of upselling, which was over the top ridiculous. The cherry on top of my experience happened after I paid for my service. That's when the employee stated that I should have told him that I was a veteran. It was blatantly obvious due to my front & rear disabled veteran license plates which my usial Tv Highway location was easily able to comprehend and accomplish. I responded that it should be on his computer screen, which he denied and that's when he informed me that I couldn't get a refund or the discount. I hope that the few dollars in profit that the Hillsboro Valvoline location made was worth it for them... this is because the Valvoline corporation itself just lost this customer. 🤔

It’s convenient but watch out for their false advertising. Got an email with a double coupon that clearly stated it could be stacked and when I got there they proceeded to tell me “i know what it looks like it says but they don’t allow me to stack coupons”. It’s all fake. Also they try to upsell you on everything!

The team were professional and courteous. However, there was an accident and a piece of the oil-dispensing equipment broke off in my engine block. They tried very hard to remove. Again, they were very professional and courteous. I had to drive the car to a garage in the area and have the piece removed. There was no charge for the repair or for the oil change. It just would have been nice to be offered something for the trouble. I sat at the store for 2.5 hours while they tried to remove the piece. I lost use of the car for 2 days while the other shop repaired. Accidents happen. I will return to the store for oil changes in the future. I would have appreciated being given something. 20% of my next service. Something. Anything.

There was a special New Year's discount, so there were quite a few cars waiting. The staff tried to help speed the process along by having the waiting cars do the light checks beforehand. They were also very apologetic for the long wait. I told them that they were doing a great job, and came expecting a wait (about an hour in total). They finished with my car as quickly as possible while also doing all the regular work that they are known for.

They dropped the engine oil cap and attempted to remove the engine bay panels without properly removing the retainer clips. This resulted in scratches on the panel, and they even lost one of the clips. When installing the oil filter, they didn’t use a torque wrench and tried to tighten it as much as possible, causing my car to shake during the process. Although they replaced the oil and filter, their lack of attention to detail made it clear they are inexperienced, more like beginners. If you own a luxury or non-generic vehicle, I strongly advise against taking it to them. Additionally, they touched my B-pillar with oily gloves, leaving stains, and left visible oily marks on my hood and fender, which required a trip to the car wash. They also failed to use a fender protector and accidentally hit the fender with a wrench, though fortunately no damage was caused.

Every person working on my car was kind and speedy. Even though everyone was working quickly, I felt like the service was very thorough, and nothing was skipped or skimped.

I came in with a 2016 Golf GTI the day before a trip. The process went smoothly at $120 dollars but when I turned the car over in the morning about three quarts ended up in my driveway and I now have to change the oil again myself. Avoid!

Zane (service tech) not only remembered my name, but also there is a lil sitch with my power steering levels🥴 they always fill a lil extra due to this problem. They also know what PSI to fill/check without having to open/scan my vin on inside of driver door. This as well as many other great customer service traits are why I have remained a loyal customer at the TANASBOURNE shop😁

Employee struggled to take off the skid plate on my 4Runner. Assistant manager was nowhere to be found while he was struggling, so employee ended up completely stripping the screws and skid plate to the point where they could not put the skid plate back on. They did not offer a discount or anything, they only apologized and said there was nothing they could do at that point.

Super friendly and professional staff. They got me in and out in no time at all. You can get coupons from them if you call ahead. I got their full synthetic blend. Also got my air filter changed. They let you know what other services they can do for your car based on your cars factory mileage recommendations. I highly recommend this place

These people have earned my business for life!!! My son changed the oil in my car and put too much oil in the engine. I came in hoping they will remove some oil and not charge me too much for it. Not only did they not charge me anything. They were totally professional and meticulous during the whole process. They checked the oil level multiple times and showed it to me. I am one of those people changes their oil every 5000 miles. I will be giving them all my business!!!

After encountering a 1.5 hour wait at the DEQ this morning, I let Google direct me to a nearby DEQToo provider. I pulled into the Tanasbourne Valvoline and got my emissions check in under 15 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I would give less than 1 star if I could. They completely lied on the sheet that they email you after the service, they stated that they topped off all fluid. They ABSOLUTELY did not! They didn’t even reset the oil change light. I’m sorry but that lack of attention and flat out lying is not a place I want near my car. I can say this Jiffy Lube has never done me wrong at any of there location’s. I learned my lesson and will be going back to them from now on.

Every worker was super friendly and helpful. There was one service that they weren't able to perform, but it wasn't any fault of their own. Great place to get a good oil change with a friendly smile.
