Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I drove by Valvoline on Merrit rd and I noticed that they were not busy and it was time for a oil change so I went to place I was going and I drove back to Valvoline. I pull up and I didn’t see anyone. A few minutes later I see a short Afro American person that looked like a guy but was told later it was a woman. She casually walks out with her hands in her pockets and comes to me truck and ask what I needed. I explained I needed a oil change. She said that she would check and see if they had a filer for my truck. In the meantime some person came in from back of the bay with what appears to be a bag and a drink in the other hand. While I am waiting a guy approached my car from drivers side and he told me he is assistant manager of that location. I explained to him what happened and he told me that the person with hands in pocket was a female. Meanwhile the person in back of bay appeared to be doing something with his hands and I had no idea what he was doing. He then walked to my truck and I asked him was he signaling to me because I didn’t know if he was eating something. He asked me did I know what a signal to come forward looked like. I backed up and just left the place. I then said to myself I see why they didn’t have any business. I just purchased a home here in Greensboro and I have to automobiles I drive but I will never go to any Valvoline Instant Oil Change. Customer service is everything and they don’t get that!

Prompt service. Staff very friendly and professional. Oil change, old filters removed, and new filters placed in a timely manner. Filters old and new were shown to me. Service did not require me to exit my automobile. Definitely recommend this establishment.

Due to the proximity of this location, I was hoping to be a regular customer. However, due to the service I received… I will not be returning. This location lacks professionalism. The moment I arrived to get an oil change and tire rotation, staff was carrying on a conversation with one another while cussing every other word. The worker who completed my tire rotation service was visually upset that none of his coworkers were helping him. Reasonably so.. but being verbally aggressive while handling a customers car did not sit well with me. While I was trying to pay for my service, the worker told me the printer was broken. However, I double checked with another worker to make sure, because I needed a printed copy of a receipt. He walked over to the printer and papers started printing. It seemed very lazy to me. They also did not offer a sticker reminder until I had to ask for one…

Staff was welcoming. Good customer service and knowledgeable about different services. I will definitely go back and recommend this location. All three members of the service team were professional and attentive. Keep up the great work!

They failed to change the oil filter during my oil change. The manager told me it was not a required service even if you pay for it.

I have been going to Valvoline for several years now and they are always very courteous and fast. They pay attention to detail They are located close to where I live so it is very convenient.

Employees are incredibly professional and friendly and prices are not jacked up. I got a full-synthetic oil change, had a $25 off coupon, and paid less than $80 including taxes. Definitely recommended.

As a Valvoline customer, I’ve always value the workers who kept me updated on my vehicle and make sure that I had a great service. But unfortunately On October 15 around 130pm I came to get an oil change and had the worst experience that at this specific valvoline location. The mechanic did not take notes on my car nor updated me about my oil. All he did was try to rush me out of there and pressured me to buy an air filter for my car that I did not need at the time. After I left the shop, I started noticing that my car started to skip (misfire) . I came back to that location to see what was wrong and all they could tell me is that they are going to charge me $30 for a diagnostic. I understand places charged for that, but I was just a customer that same day and my car wasn’t doing that until I left the shop . The next day When I went to a DIFFERENT location, Apparently, one of the issues was that something wrong with my oil value (an apparent leak). I was told by that mechanic that it would’ve been seen by the people who changed my oil, but they must’ve not have told me . I was very upset when I heard this news. If Vavoline can have three workers on your car, especially a worker under your vehicle, then why wasn’t I notified about this? I called this location & the assistant manager explained to me that all mechanics are supposed to give you updates on your car and put it in your notes to make sure you have documentation, and that his mechanics who serviced my oil change did not do that and neglected that part of their job. He said that the person that was working under my car would’ve saw it and would’ve told the other workers that were taking my notes, but of course that did not happen. He apologize but Wasn’t willing to issue a refund . Most I could get was a half off oil change by next visit . As you can see, I never want to return to that location ever again to due to my experience . I have been a loyal customer for about four years because I appreciate the service, updates on my car, and just the general care they give to their customers, but I was neglected on Oct 15 and was rushed out of my oil change. As a result, my car had leaked oil and I was out of it by the end of that day. I feel very cheated I cannot trust the mechanics at this location. Update: I talked to someone from the store named Cecil and he was rude, very disrespectful. He kept saying that I was blaming them for the leak and that is the opposite of what I’m saying! I stated that they neglected to tell me issues about my car or even keep notes on Valvoline car profile. He completely disregard me. The issue was not resolved at all, and it’s still stands that I will never return to this location ever again or any location for that matter.

My experience was not at all satisfactory. They did not check any of my fluids after the oil change which took them approximately 20 minutes after getting into the bay. I tried using 2 of my coupons and they said they were used. Not helpful at all. I will not be going back to that location.

This place DID NOT replace my lugnut key!!!!!!!! Not only did I pay for an overpriced service I had to pay even more to get my tires off and lugnuts replaced. I'd be careful going here. Will end up costing you more than you think. They will act like they always replace your key but they don't!!!!!!!! Never again!!!!!
