Absolutely wonderful experience! Stone the assistant manager was so kind and knowledgeable and the whole team functioned smoothly. As a girl who dreads taking her car in for any work, I am happy I chose this Valvoline.

Came to get an oil change and they told me my car was too new even though it's a few years old at this point. The guy sent me to another Valvoline down the road. It seems like the guy just wanted to go home or on break or something.... I definitely won't be back to Valvoline after this terrible service.

Do not come here, after they did an oil change I got the engine light on and after I checked the engine there was barely any oil. These people will con you out of your money.

Don't go to any instant oil change locations. The risk does not outweigh the ease of service. The prices are hiked and you're far more likely to get better service and diagnostics from full repair shops. It may be more time consuming - but speed isn't the best consideration when dealing with your vehicle. I didn't listen to that, my knowledge on cars wasn't the best. I went to Valvoline to get my oil changed back in April in hopes of getting my vehicle's oil changed driving by a few times. Had an amazing visit, met several people and left with a hug smile. From then on my vehicle was experiencing several issues and I didn't really know why, so I decided to visit them again as they instructed for some additional work on the car. Things were smooth enough, my issues still persisted but I just figured it might have been due to the colder months and left it at that. Little did I know that during one of my visits, they had accidentally lossened the transmission plug and resumed services without notifying me at all. When my car began shaking as if it was going to stall, I returned to the locations to have them look at it. They did their typical speed check and oil change... but when I prompted them about the sounds and damage I'd been hearing, they said the computer said the vehicle is in great condition so they didn't investigate further. Regardless of my car's noisy entrance and exit, nothing was done. I decided I'd get a second opinion at a nearby repair shop, but my car broke down halfway to the location. After having it towed and going back and forth, it was stated by the owner of the establishment as well as multiple mechanics that worked on this (with a signed document mind you.) That valvoline is responsible for the damages. The only piece missing was a picture of the loose drain plug, that the mechanic was negligent to provide. Valvoline throughout the entire process only directed me to the store manager and refused my case, going as far as to deny any further evidence I gave them since the case had been closed by the store manager. I went to the store directly to reach out to them and spoke to the employee that was managing my service, and he admitted to disregarding my question on my vehicle's status saying "he's not trained for that kind of situation." The store manager however was on vacation with no supervision left in his sted so there was no one for me to talk to in person about the situation either. I was stuck with a bill for buying a new transmission and after ANOTHER opinion they also stated the same information. "Happens all the time with instant oil change places, they mess something up moving too fast." Is what I was told by them. This time I had pictures and clear leakage from where the transmission plug was. I provided them pictures, tried to be easy to work with, was giving every bit of information I had but they refused to make up for their mistake. I had to threaten to involve the attorney general to even get a response from them, making a document describing the situation myself. Even after getting them involved they still denied the Attorney General, and have yet to reach out to me even after getting them involved. This place caused me a new transmission and extremely heartless when it comes to expressing any emotions towards the mistake they made, even refusing to provide me any evidence support how they did not do such damage, after bringing up there being videos of each time they worked on my vehicle. Not once did they say that footage supported their claim, nor did they give that footage to said attorneys general. So no, do not go to instant oil change places, and if they respond to this with a typical PR message, just know that - no they are not going to reach out to me at all about this experience. Terrance was very nice and helpful. Showed me both air/engine filters and compared them with the new ones so I could see exactly how dirty they were. Great customer service will be back

I recently went in for an oil change, and the service was excellent! Donnie was incredibly friendly and made a great first impression as the face of the company. Miracle and Aisha were efficient, getting everything done quickly and smoothly. Aisha especially stood out—she’s a powerhouse #girlpower!!! Highly recommend this team for anyone needing fast, friendly, and professional service!

It is rare that I get such good customer service that i feel the need to leave a review. I believe his coworker said his name was Tre, but he had dreads with the tips dyed blue. He was extremely respectful, kind, and witty. He is obviously an experienced salesman, as he could probably sell me something I own 10 of. He hit all the marks, and needs to be recognized for it.

Just today, l went to Valvoline for a simple oil change. Came out with a dipstick that you have to force back in the oil tube. I saw the technician struggling to get the oil suction tube out of my car's oil tube, he was pulling out so hard that the car was wobbling resulting in either the tube is bent or something was left in it. From my previous experiences with Valvoline l learnt to check after them every time l do an oil change. So, I pulled out the dipstick in the parking lot and tried to put it back and l noticed the dipstick wouldn't be reinserted easily. Called the technician, but he said there is nothing abnormal with it, so l asked to talk with a manager, turned out the manager wasn't even there. So they said, they will call the manager and he will be there in 20 minutes. Passed 20 minutes no one showed up. I went back to the shop and asked where the manager was, they said that he said he will call back 🤔 Pissed off, l called customer care and filed a claim. Customer care got in touch with the location manager and said he'll be there in 20 minutes... After an hour or so he showed up... Same same, he tried to play down and like it is not a big deal. He ended up saying that l should go to a mechanic and check the tube. I said you are a mechanic, check it out. He replied that he was not a mechanic and that none of Valvoline technicians are mechanics 🤨 Story short don't ever trust these guys on your cars, always check after them and if you can don't ever go to Valvoline, instead go to a mechanic shop and get a proper oil change. PS: this is not my only bad experience with Valvoline.

The attendants at the Grier Ave. location are lady’s friendly and accomodating. They didn’t disappoint me on 11/22/24. They were friendly and worked well as a team. I was especially impressed with the African American technician named Aisha.

The staff at the Geier location were so incredibly friendly and smiley and welcoming. They did a great job on the car but the service was just outstanding.

These guys are always incredibly friendly and efficient and won’t go overboard trying to upsell anything. I appreciate their positive attitude and the laid back culture of this VIOC. One guy in particular whose name I didn’t catch is always smiling and seems to genuinely enjoy customer interactions.

Trey deserves a raise. He’s personable, knowledgeable and makes a girl who knows nothing about cars feel very comfortable. He made the entire experience more enjoyable. I’ll come back to this location because of the customer service Tre provided. 10/10

Do not go to Valvoline! I went in for a routine oil change and they broke my oil check valve and refused to pay for the damages. I filed a claim and the claim was denied due to my vehicle having 145,000 miles and they claimed wear and tear. I went to the mechanic and the mechanic told Valvoline that Valvoline did indeed break the oil check valve and Valvoline still refused to pay for the damages.

I always have a great experience. The staff is friendly. But I want to acknowledge the staff tonight 9/26/24 I thought the store closed at 8pm and I literally showed up at 7:22 and they closed at 7:30. I needed air in my tires because the light just came on. One of the guys greeted me i felt so bad they were about to closed i even was willing to leave because I hate when people show up at the last second even at my job. He took care of me and he didnt have attitude I didnt get his name. I think I saw a “De…. “ on his shirt. I believe he had dreads. But I just want to say I appreciate the service down to the last minutes before they closed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My car had issues and had reoccurring check lights. Turns out they overfilled the oil by 2 quarts. Cost me $200 at the dealership to correct.

Never any issues. Will treat you right. I also just watched a technician help escort an elderly lady to the washroom. Pure gentleman chivalry. Thumbs up!
