I had a really good experience at this mechanic shop. I went in for one problem and was quoted a price but when they did the diagnostics, they realize it was a complete different problem that was cheaper. They called me and told me that and because of the honesty that I was given, I am always going to be a lifetime customer with them. Not a lot of people will let you know the price is cheaper When they could’ve just charged me the same price. Integrity is everything 😊

Beware!!! a year ago 01/07/2024 Kevin Villareal installed (supposedly) a Rough Country lowering kit on my truck. Well It's 2025, I decided to upgrade with a street performance Belltech kit. To my dismay and obvious frustration, the front struts were not Rough Country. Instead the driver side was a KYB brand and the passenger side was a Duralast. He also talked me into swapping out all four tires for smaller ones. Adding that he was positive tires were going to rub, there is nothing I can do now. All I know now, is that I found out what kind of man he is and what he does to trusty customers. He never put the truck on the lift to show the work that had been done. Why? because that day he did not show up at the shop. Kevin this kind of business will catch up to you and I hope it will be sooner than later.

Kevin and his mechanics are always extremely professional and attentive! I dropped my jeep off last night and let him know that I really needed it back ASAP, he had it fixed and back on the road within 8 hours! The only mechanic my wife and I trust in San Antonio!

They were friendly, helpful, and honest - I received suggestions that kept my budget and the future lifetime of my vehicles in mind in a way that meant I wasn't being overcharged or pressured into extra unnecessary work. The work took a while, but both of my vehicles took some extra troubleshooting and one went over a holiday weekend, so that's an extra factor. They offer courtesy rides, too!

I would rate this shop lower if possible. My experience with Kevin was extremely disappointing. He initially assured me that the transmission repair performed on my vehicle late last year or early this year was covered by a one-year warranty, as confirmed during a phone call with one of his mechanics. However, when I returned to the shop a few weeks ago due to issues with the transmission, Kevin stated that the warranty was only 90 days. This is inconsistent with the one-year warranty advertised by the shop. I strongly advise against using this shop for your vehicle repairs. If you decide to proceed, ensure that all warranty terms and conditions are clearly documented in writing before any work begins. Respond to your Kevin respond 8/22 During our phone conversation, we agreed on an original price of $2,800. I requested a $200 discount, which you confirmed. However, there was no mention that this discount would alter the warranty period to 90 days. I specifically asked for this discount due to the fact that I was transporting my car from Dallas to your shop. Despite our agreement, I ended up paying $3,225.20 when I came to pick up my vehicle. My primary expectation was to receive the one-year warranty that we initially agreed upon. I am requesting that you honor this warranty as previously discussed.

My truck broke down in San Antonio and was referred to them, we had extended warranty and Kevin made all arrangements and had the truck fix in a timely manner however something’s came up on the truck but he had no problem fixing everything under warranty. Overall highly satisfied and would recommend him!

I give them 5 stars. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I did not have an appointment and they was super busy and still helped me out and I’m so thankful for that! My engine light came on and was worried and V&M Automotive took care of it. Thank you so much for everything. I definitely will come back again and I definitely will recommend V&M Automotive !

AWESOME!!! few months ago the guy at the front desk quoted a price to replace headlights on a 2015 Tahoe. Finally got the lights from ebay and went to them yesterday 04/12/24 for the repair. Guy at the front desk gives me a time frame it would be completed and sure enuff I get the call and my truck can see again. 2 brand new headlights AND to top it off it cost less than I thought. Thank You V&M Automotive you are better than I expected. True to your word. No holdup. No hassle.

They were fast and efficient and even had someone that specialized in Mercedes. Brought the parts to them that I had purchased and they replaced everything within two hours. Defiantly will be using them again. Changed a 1400 bill from firestone down to 600!

Took our car there for struts and belts, the work they did on the was ok. Somehow they managed to damage the CV Axel and seal. We had a puddle of transmission fluid in the driveway. We took it back a second time where they replaced the seal, but still had leaking of transmission fluid. I had to take it to another place, and found out they used the wrong seal and damaged that one while replacing it. So we are out another $600 and wasted time and effort. I would suggest taking it to a more reputable maintenance company.
