First time here! I drove from Norwalk in hope of a fair priced repair.The service techs showed me that the entire exhaust , from the engine to the muffler , was a total disaster! The owner came in and showed me what they could do to install a new exhaust system. They did it in 2 hours while I sat in the waiting room! Charged me a very fair price and I was headed back home 1hour and 45 minutes later! GREAT! Midas would have charged me close to 2k…but This shop charged me a third of that and did the work quickly! Very very fair!

Can’t bend 3 inch pipe, couldn’t fix an exhaust leak from work that they did on a vehicle. Not quality work.

USM Discount Muffler & Brake was a lifesaver! Another shop quoted me $1,000–$2,000 to fix my exhaust, and I thought my car was totaled. USM gave me a fair price of ~$600 total, got the parts, and had it fixed in just a few hours. The team was honest, fast, and professional. I am in the waiting room so its a bit early to leave a review. I will update if there are any unknowns of discoveries and i do not expect to need to do so. The diagnostics were incredibly detailed and hands on. Not everyone will like this however I appreciate this level of details. This business is best for people who like to know exactly what they are getting. Quickly they generated a cost and I decided to have it done right there. It saved me time. So far my experience has been exactly what I want and problem solving. They further went on to diagnose an issue that I was not aware of. Moreover I like supporting a local business that has the capacity to support artisanal work providing a tangible service. Most people who want the job done well and to see it will like this business.

This place is great! Service is fast, the work I had done was excellent, very reasonably priced… I can weld myself, but in the dead of winter, laying on my back, under a car…not when USM is nearby! Thanks for the great work, my vehicle has seen several months since the exhaust was completed, with lots of miles on NYC streets, and has held up perfectly.

They got me in on Super Bowl Sunday and were able to replace my muffler. I was extremely happy with the service. Most shops were closed but these guys did the job and got it taken care of quickly.

Honestly, my experience was way better than my expectations. I came in yesterday morning at open because I needed to repair my heat shield that was loose. I was expecting to have to replace the heat shield or be charged an arm and a leg to replace the screws if that was the issue. Thankfully I only needed two screws and I was on my way. The whole time I was there the owner was just talking to me and honestly made me feel welcomed. When the job was finished (which took not even 30 minutes) the owner brought me to my car on the lift and showed me the repair that was done (super transparent). And the end I was only charged $45 which was way less than my expectation. Overall amazing experience and the owner found himself a new customer for all my exhaust and other work in the future.

Hos was able to get my car in 10 minutes after our phone call. My car was on the lift in minutesz Talked me through each step of the repair. Fair price, honest/detailed work. Couldn’t recommend USM Discount Muffler more.

I can't begin to say how much I highly recommend this place, not only is the owner and his mechanics the nicest people you'll ever meet but their pricing and work is unmatched! I brought my Volvo in after the dealer told me that I needed $5500.00 in just parts alone (Cat & exhaust back). Being that I wasn't really able to source aftermarket parts from anywhere else I wanted to see what they could do. After a thorough look over he told me he could repair my exhaust instead of replacing everything. Now listen to me when I say this... USM did all of this in 30min for $250!!!!!!! YOU CANT BEAT THAT! I was even given the chance to take a look at the welds they had done and the work they needed to do (great quality). I am super grateful that I found them and will forever be coming back!

I highly recommend this business if you are having any exhaust issues. I met the owner Hos as soon as I walked in. He was very welcoming and very nice. The guys had my 2020 Acadia on the lift to see what was going on within 5 minutes. They diagnosed the problem very fast right in front of me and showed me what the issue was. I really appreciated this. I agreed to the repair after Hos gave me a very good price. The guys working in the shop on my car were great. I was shocked how quickly they had me in and out. It was under an hour and they did an excellent job. I am very thankful to Hos and his team for the amazing experience and will absolutely go to them anytime I have an issue and need it done right and fast. A+++

I went into this place after Midas told me I had to buy a new tire due to a nail. The guys at USM had me in and out in minutes with a plugged tire. It'd been perfect. A great price and good work!! Update: 12/28 just my car in for brakes and was in and out in hour with no appointment!! These guys never fail!!

This is a great location to have your muffler fixed. Hos, the owner, is a friendly gentleman who provides the service at extremely reasonable prices. Work is fast and unless your issue is complex, you could be out within 30 mins. Work seemed to be done with quality and hoping to get many years out of the repair.
