Kim and her team have always taken care of my vehicles. She keeps my 20+ year old Tundra feeling like I just bought it. They stay on top of my maintenance and they are the only place I trust to touch my Toyotas. I see reviews on here from some people who haven't even had work done on their car. Lol. Dont listen to them. As for the reviews complaining about price, well specialists cost more, and I appreciate that they specialize in Toyotas. These guys know Toyotas and their quirks. If they say something needs to be replaced, LISTEN TO THEM! They aren't trying to upsell you, they just want to keep your car in tip top shape and avoid doing extra work in the future. Listen, when it comes down it, Kim and her team will keep a Toyota running as long as you listen to them and do the work that needs to be done.

Kim and team were a great find. They got me in and out in about 24 hours and were communicative throughout. The most important part - they are very honest. A dealership told me I needed my front brakes done, while Toy Tech confirmed they were still at 50% life, so in fact no need. Toy Tech advised up front they thought I would need two bearings replaced and even ordered both, but the following day, after working hard to isolate the problem, told me only one bearing needed replacement and only charged me as such, even knocking off a diagnostic fee. Bottomline, at a dealership I could have had a $2,000 day and wouldn’t have known to enough to question it. This experience ended up being significantly under that, because Toy Tech was honest. Car feels and sounds healthy and safe once more. We will definitely return for any future service needs. Thanks Toy Tech!

Two years ago I visited ToyTech to inquire about a valley pan gasket repair on my Lexus GX460 and they quoted a higher price than the dealership on the repair. When I asked more details, I learned the price was so high because they refused to reuse perfectly good knock sensors during the repair and instead required replacement of all 4 units ($200+each) if they’d be doing repairs because they couldn’t be confident they wouldn’t damage them (a scenario the dealership and other Indy shops didn’t have concern with). I ended up DIYing the repair and can report first hand, that’s a ridiculous concern of theirs. Handling the parts with a mild amount of care would alleviate the risk of damage. Not a big deal though, just chose not to use their shop for the repairs. Today, two years later, I decided to once again inquire with them about the cost to do a transmission fluid drain and fill, coolant system flush and brake fluid exchange on my late model Tundra. To my surprise, they again told me they would not perform the work (a simple brake fluid exchange specifically) as they’ve had brake calipers on have problems after doing that and didn’t want to take on the liability. I’ve known shops to advise against certain work being performed due to certain risk, but never had a shop refuse to do simple repair/maintenance work simply because they’ve seemingly screwed it up before and don’t have confidence in their technicians to perform the work competently. That’s what they mean when they say “we won’t take on the liability” when dealing with unbolting one bolt and plug for a sensor and bleeding brake fluid. Very simple tasks that only go wrong if a preexisting issue exists or techs screw it up. Yet they’re not confident enough to either diagnose the issues beforehand nor perform the simple task if everything’s ok. I’d advise you do as I’m doing and stop wasting your time considering Toy Tech for your Toyota/Lexus maintenance and repairs…or your experience might be the next reason why they won’t take on future simple task from other customers.

I have taken my 97 4runner in many times. They are the reason I'm still going strong after 340,000 miles. They're the most trustworthy mechanics I have used. They do not try to charge extra or do unnecessary work. I was recently quoted $3000 for a job from a different mechanic and Toy Tech got it done for $1200.

I have never in my life met an auto repair shop with the integrity of Kim. We had a major issue that Kim went above and beyond to make sure she got the problem fixed. I have never reviewed any mechanic because it’s seems it’s impossible to find a good one, but Kim is one of the good ones Thanks again Kim the 4Runner is still doing great -Seraphim-

It took awhile to get in because they were busy but also short staffed. Once I did get my '23 4Runner in for the 30K service, work was done in a timely manner and at a fair price. They are good at communicating about the work progress and do not try to upsell you on other work or parts. I will be considering using them in the future.

While I appreciate the promptness of Kim getting me in, her process and communication needs to be improved. I paid for a post purchase inspection on a vehicle (bought out of town). I was under the impression she was going to do what other independent mechanics do which is a thorough 160 point inspection. I was wrong. For the same amount of money I would have paid somewhere else, they spent 20 minutes with the vehicle: they did a small test drive and raised it up on the racks doing a quick 5 minute underbody look, and that was it. They were not familiar with the vehicle either despite it being a Toyota. I feel at least a partial refund should be in order considering how little they did and the amount of insight they provided based on their "inspection" was at an entry level technician at best (not the master Toyota mechanics they claim). Perhaps they are better with older/non hybrid tech. I see all these reviews about them being honest, and perhaps they are in some ways. But with how little they did on my vehicle, her honesty is lacking considering she charged me double the rate of a Lexus dealership to do a full 161 point inspection (based on the amount of time she spent. Lexus is around $195 for a full hours time).

Although the news I received was sad, as I have to part ways with my ride or die 4Runner, Kim was very straight forward with me and I sense there is an honesty level that you don’t often get from auto repair shops. The pricing was fair, communication was great, job was done as scheduled both times I came to this shop (for this and another Toyota I had serviced). They all seem to be thoroughly knowledgeable with and are fans of Toyotas. I’m comfortable enough to say this is my new auto repair shop for my Toyotas.

I saw great reviews about Toy Tech and decided to try them. It was easier to get in then I thought. They did a quick and efficient job of changing oil in my Lexus. I liked Kim as she is down home and easy to talk to. I will use them in the future. I recommend them over a dealer expirence anytime.
