Had a superb service from Larry and his team! My car had issues trying to meet smog test requirements. After speaking to two mechanics, I consulted with Larry and he assured me that he could get the issues fixed. He was honest with his assessments and performed the services accordingly. Larry and his team are an absolute gem in downtown. I was quoted a bit higher at another shop but it gave me the upselling vibe. Larry is genuine and will tell you what you need and what you do not need. He and his team are genuine and are helpful whenever they can be. I will be giving Townsend my business in the future!

I needed a qualified mechanic to service my 1966 Chevy Pickup which has a Carbureted engine. After a cold call and two services I can say that I am thoroughly satisfied with my experience at Townsend Automotive. Larry and crew have got my classic truck running the best it's ever performed in the seven years that I have owned it. When it needs its next tune up I will be bringing it back because I feel that their shop is uniquely qualified and very conscientious with their work. Everyone I met at the shop was welcoming and attentive and seemed to enjoy their job. Thank you Larry and please stay in business as long as I own this truck because its hard to keep these classic vehicles on the road.

I had a flat tire unexpectedly and drove to this place for an inspection. The staff, all around, was so nice and friendly. Shoutout to Kylie, Larry and the entire staff for a quick and easy process. They were able to repair my tire, and even give me an oil change at a cheaper rate than most tire places in the area, also within 45 mins. VERY satisfied with my experience and will be coming back soon to get my tires rotated. Thank you!

I mostly dealt with Larry at Townsend’s Automotive to get a prepurchase inspection done on a vehicle I am flying in from Texas to purchase. He and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, got the job done in a timely manner and were very up front and honest about the vehicle. 100% recommend!

This family run business is the best. I was referred to them by a friend. Its a kittle tough to find the place but not inky did they give me a ride back to my job but they also checked my car thru out. I trusted them completely from the start. Dont hesitate to take your car in.

Wow!! Really great service, from the first phone call to the last. Excellent and professional. Brought in my 1973 International Travelall. Larry and his pros handled all the motor oil and transmission fluid leaks, swapped out the shocks, did the alignment, and even got some keys made for it which I had previously snapped. They identified and corrected a couple of other issues and even kindly washed it before I picked it up. I think they only had it for just over a week. Fantastic work and excellent communication/follow up and all really nice people. Won’t take my ride anywhere else. Thanks fellas!

Larry and his team did an excellent job on my BMW 525i it runs like a charm will definitely be using them for any future car problems or maintenance and prices are fair and reasonable and they have a warranty on there as well.

Always a good experience, Larry is super friendly and helpful (and same goes for everyone else who works here), knowledgeable, gives good advice, more-than-reasonable+transparent prices.. Some growing pains with the new location it seems but def hasn’t gotten in the way of their customer service and general quality/attentiveness

Larry Jr, and his team of journeyman mechanics were quick, polite and knowledgeable in diagnosing and fixing my car issue. They provided a really fast yet thorough service. Whichever mechanical issues you are having whether it be, brakes, oil changes, transmission, engine or all the the above! Will definitely recommend going back!

Larry always takes the time to personally help with you and is very knowledgeable and professional. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of work they do.
