I should have read the reviews before going to Tire Discounters. Highlights - the price changed 3 times, no communication on the car, and wasn't ready until after they closed. Certainly some funny business going on, at least at this location on Marburg Ave. They quoted me higher price than the BMW dealer, which I should have walked out at that point. I negotiated the price down, but still felt weird as the price was still higher than what I remember on the Tire Discounter website. I was told that the car would be done early afternoon; seeing that it was 9 AM and the tired had to come from the local warehouse, very reasonable. After not hearing anything, I called at 2:45 PM to get a status as they close at 4 PM on Saturday. Still not done. I showed up 15 minutes before they closed to find my car the lift. The price ended up being about the website site quote (lower than what I negotiated - I'll take it). They had me wait in the lobby, but apparently forgot about me. Nearly 10 minutes after they closed, they noticed I was still waiting - "hey, he's waiting for the car..." These tires are expensive and to have customer service like this - not acceptable. I had some miserable experiences with this company's auto glass repair arm that I thought I would give them another shot. Won't make that mistake again.

I’ve read bad reviews about Tire Discounters in Oakley before but my husband wanted to go there to get my car aligned and have the suspension checked. We brought it in last week paid around $300 and thought everything was fixed. Well after driving it we realized it was somehow worse?? So we brought it back in yesterday and asked them to look at it again. They finally get back to us today and said we need a new struts, control arm, and tire rod to the tune of $3000. they never should’ve been able to do an alignment, SO they “attempted” ?? but I paid for them to actually do the work… With all that said, don’t give Tire Discounters in Oakley your time or money. They have no idea what they are doing. I wouldn’t trust these people to correctly diagnose my son’s bicycle much less fix it. ALSO wanted to say, Donovan’s on Ridge down the street only quoted us $1,500 and got it done in a day! Support local! They also said half the things TD said were wrong, go figure!

Literally go to any other tire discounters.. this one overcharges and doesn't honor road hazard warranties.. we decided to go to a different tire discounters location and we're charged 200$ less!!

Terrible management. We made an appt only to show up and find out that they didn't put it in the system. They told us to come back the next day, which we did and they couldn't get us in when we arrived and said to come back the following day at 8am. We showed up for the third time at 8am the following day, as instructed, just for them to tell us that there were 15-20 cars ahead of us and we would need to make an official appointment. Crazy! I won't be going back.

literally will only cause more problems than any fixes, ive wasted thousands giving this company a second chance for them to screw me for profit. terrible company, not surprised anymore.

I had such a wonderful experience at this store! Steve and Mike were incredibly helpful with any questions I had, and they helped get my car serviced in such a timely manner.

Avoid at all costs! After dropping my car off for a simple tire rotation, they told me 30-45 minutes later that they did not recommend rotation since my tires were too worn, which is funny because they are not even two years old. I explained to them over the phone, I would not be purchasing 4 new tires just because they "suggested" it. Two more hours pass and maybe a manager calls me and tells me they straight up won't complete the tire rotation and that I should come back to pick up my car since I refused new tires. The whole thing seemed weird so I took my car to another Tire Discounters to see what they said. They came right out to my car and inspected all the tires. They deemed them totally fine and in no way needed to be replaced. The store manager at this location apologized up and down for the actions of the Oakley location. Don't waste your money with them!

A day of poor communication on the part of a TD employee. I own some communication blunders myself. I brought what I had been told (by a little, local tire shop) was a damaged rim/wheel and a new $427.00 wheel to place on a tire (purchased at TD, Oakley) on the new rim. I was informed that the old rim was fine, but that a new tire was needed. A new tire to be put on the old, but functional rim. Instead, the new tire was put on the new rim. I stated (as the competent blond TD fellow had earlier agreed when he stated the old rim was fine) that the tire was on the wrong rim. The blond fellow said, "Now you have five good rims." and handed me back my paper work. I wouldn't settle for that. The senior member of the team followed me out to the car and said they would place the new tire on the old rim. That was much appreciated! It would take an hour. It did. I wanted this courtesy because one or more of the following things had taken place: 1. The blond fellow had simply not communicated to use the old rim to anyone in the shop who did the work. 2. He communicated, if incompletely, and the service was done without regard to the older rim. No question, the work was done well, but I am potentially out over $400.00 because of this error. 3. Nothing of this communication was put in any written notation at TD and this was needed. I really think option #2 is unlikely. Few guys busting tires would have failed to ask for some clarification. I imagine when I take the cleaned-up-to-sparkling-condition wheel (Hey, that wasn't easy, it took two of us hour with soft cloths, warm water, and baking soda) back to my Chevy dealer I will, in fact, have five good rims in my possession. This is the second time a person 'at the desk' failed to communicate to the guys who do the work in the bays. Dalton failed to tell someone about a year ago that I wanted a tire rotation when a tire repair was done. The repair was done perfectly. No tire rotation occurred. Dalton made sure I knew the rotation could not be completed that day when I pointed this out. I returned several days later, a further cost of my time. I still work for a living, though I am an old geezer. Blond guy and Dalton know tires, they know their work, and do a good job most of the time. However, "what we have here is a failure to communicate". Our communications seemed adequate. I think the communication to the guys in the shop was incomplete at best. I don't expect compensation. I hope for better communication in the future. Still your customer, but not really satisfied with this potentially expensive day. It could have been avoided. Respectfully, Ron Sinclair

I had the worst experience at Tire Discounters, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid this location. Here's what happened: I specifically chose Tire Discounters because they promised my tire would be changed the same day, which was essential as I already had plans. Despite confirming this upfront, they failed to deliver on their promise. Throughout the day, I repeatedly called to check the status of my car. I was constantly misled with false updates, saying it would be ready that day. Eventually, just before closing time, I was told they received the wrong tires and that my car would be ready the next morning. The next day, after leaving my car with them for two days, I called again, only to be told dismissively, "If you want, come and take your car." It was clear they didn't care about my business. When I finally went to the store, the general manager was shockingly rude. He ignored me, didn’t greet me, and even mocked me while singing. When I tried to explain my frustration, he began yelling at me. When I asked why he was yelling, he denied it and continued to be disrespectful. Instead of apologizing, he made bizarre and inappropriate comments, including something about "the day America bombed Russia." To make matters worse, I asked them to keep my spare tire, which wasn’t in my car when I got it back. When I returned to ask about it, one employee casually said, "I guess it was gone." Finally, the manager handed me a random tire, but the whole situation was disorganized and unprofessional. This experience was beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. The staff, including the general manager, were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from start to finish. Tire Discounters has lost my business forever, and I strongly urge others to take their business elsewhere.

Disappointed. Waited for 3 hours. To get no service. After being to told to come on this day and time. Then charged 42 dollars. Was told I would get a refund. It has been 4 weeks. Have yet to receive it. Plus I had a warranty.

I had an appt for tire rotation and balancing. After waiting 70 minutes after my appt I decided to leave.

I went in to tire discounters at 9:30 in the morning to get 4 tires to put on my car. It is 130 and my car isn't done yet. No one has said anything to me and they seem they're not care. I definitely would not recommend these guys to anyone. That took a total of over 5 hours just to put 4 tires on a car.

The past 2 times I have been to this location and have had a horrible experience. The first time I was waiting to get air put in my tires I was instructed to park my vehicle in front of the first bay door so that is what I did all for one of the technicians to yell at me to move out of the way so that he could pull the vehicle he was sitting on in the first bay at first I didn't even know if he was talking to me because of how rude he was being so I pointed to myself to see if he was infact talking to me he responded with yes now move. Today, I reluctantly went back again because since it's colder outside I needed air in my tires again. I parked my vehicle in front of rhe first bay like the last time and waited patiently after about 15 mins I went inside and asked the service advisor (who was sitting at the desk on his phone) if someone could please fill my tires up with air and said yes I thanked him and went back to sit in my car....15 more minutes later I go back inside and politely asked if I was still able to get air put in my tires to which the service advisor responded "were moving as fast as we can" I grabbed a card with the GM's info and told him nevermind that I'll just go elsewhere he then said he could fill my tires up with air and I declined because I no longer felt comfortable. If he could have filled my tires up with air I'm confused as to why it took him so long since he was sitting at the desk on his phone. There really needs to be an improvement with management at this location because having someone wait 30 mins + to have air put in their tires is not acceptable.

Had them install 4 new tires. Drove home that day, then went to drive in the morning and 2 out of the four tires went completely flat on the express way. Almost got in an accident. Called tire discounters. they told me to call a tow truck but then after going back and fourth for a while they decided to finally send a tow truck themselves since it was their fault. a day later they said the problem was fixed. Picked the car up. Went home, checked tire pressure and each tire was 50% less than what it should have been. Turns out there tech didn't bother reading the PSI label on the door. Just guessed. Then all of a sudden i have a coolant look after i took it in? No leaks prior. took it back in to have them fix my tires a third time and fill to right psi. they did and are reluctant to give any sort of discount or even say Sorry for their wrongdoing? Not one apology, not even a $10 coupon. I don't want free shit, i just want to get the product and service i paid for. I was out of a car for three days and took 3 different trips to their location, FOR NEW TIRES. wild... Terrible.

They immediately replied to me after posting a review about their lack of response to my online request. They made sure I was taken care of. Good response to make things right.

Came in for a simple wiper change and Gabe the technician was absolutely great in getting the right blades for my car. Highly recommend!

Made an appointment to get my tire patched for 5:30 when I get off work. I show up exactly when I told them I would the next day. Employee named Dalton. says I was scheduled for five and I’m late for my appointment and had reached cut off time. I drove out there for nothing, the whole thing felt unprofessional. If you need to get your tire fixed and are planning your workday around a mechanic appointment don’t go here, they’ll just wait your time.

Came in early on a Saturday morning for an alignment check as a precautionary measure for my new tires. One minor adjustment and I was off, free of charge. That’s how you take care of your customers right there!!

Scammed us for a "new TPMS" parts charge for $13 on a free flat repair (6mo old set bought from TD with flat repair coverage). Sensor worked prior to repair and doesn't need to be replaced every time the wheel is taken off despite clerk trying to pull a fast one. Try somewhere else.

We dropped off our son’s car at Tire Discounters for a tire replacement and new battery. While they are pricey, they got the job done, BUT….I told them the drivers window button is broken, they confirmed it wasn’t a wiring issue so I asked for an estimate to fix it…..$501.99 is what Tire Discounters wanted to charge to replace the all plastic insert where the electric window and door locks are on his Honda Accord for ONE button that was broken. Our son ordered the part online for $25 and we YouTubed the instructions……15 minutes later, his window now works fine. Only thing that took so long was 4 screws and being careful not to crack the casing. This is SO wrong!!!

Came here on a brand new tire (had less than 2k miles on it), but it was flat. They “fixed” it said it was the rim and that they hammered it out since it was metal. Not even 10 hours later (the next morning) that same tire is flat, again. Called them and they said they checked the tire, that the tire has “NO LEAKS” and it has to be the rim. Dropped $150 on a new rim, brought it in and they put the same tire on that new rim and back on my car ($55)…..not even 3 hours later, flat tire AGAIN (another $35). Now I’ve paid them to hammer my rim, check my actual tire twice (and tell me both times that the tire is FINE), paid $150 on a rim I didn’t even need, all for it to be the tire the entire time! These people are clearly incompetent, how hard is it to put soapy water on a tire after putting air in it to find the leak exactly? It’s clearly just too difficult for these tire professionals. Do not come here, they will just continue to charge you while telling you things that aren’t even true to make you keep having to come back. I was here 3 times within 24 hours. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. AND they won’t give a refund for the $90 they got for the first 2 visits because “it wasn’t flat when you left here.” The logic is clearly not in the building with us.

Great experience all around. In and out in under 2 hours when I had a flat. Great price and very professional. Would recommend this location to anyone.

Jun 06, 2024

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location. I think some of the staff truly care, but it does not seem universal. I have had to return on multiple occasions for issues that were not addressed correctly the first time, and they also sold me on services (air filters) that I don't think I actually needed.

Jun 06, 2024

first y’all overcharge my fiancé on his tire when you quoted him something completely different, then dump shavings from his tire in his car?!!!!! 0/10 would recommend. Horrid service. Just trashy.

I had my GMC Denali towed to the tire discounters o Marburg and Alamo at approx 9:15 4/15/2024. I told the manager there before zi had it towed there that while traveling my tire developed a slow leak but since it was late Sunday nothing was open but Walmart where I bought a couple of cans of fix+a+flat to get home. When I got home so tried to put air in the tire but the stem was now clogged and wouldn't take air. When I talked to the manager to see how how long it would take for the stem installation, he said I needed a NEW TIRE because once a tire has fix a flat or any chemical in it, it can't be re-used and the truck had been driven on the flat and ruined the tire😊the tow truck driver loaded the Denali bon the tow truck which was less than 10 ft away and the tire did not come off the wheel. I came up with the money from my wife and called them back to give the ok to replace the tire the young man said it would be ready about 1:15 my wife and got there about 1:00 and my truck hadn't even been brought inside. rufus the manager/(?) said he forgot to have it brought in and he would get right on it about a hr later it was still outside, I went back in to ask what was going on he said he forgot again, when he finally had it brought it inside it just sat on the lift with the tire off, when I asked Rufus again he said he forgot to go back and tell them to get started then the other manager chimed in and said he was waiting for owner (me) to call back becs I said he didn't have the money! I told Rufus to just go put the old tire back on with a rubber stem so I could just leave, they took their time putting back on the tire back on and tried to sell me a $95.00 stem. I said no just put a rubber stem on. When I finally got to the desk to checkout Rufus played on the computer and shifted papers and said $42.00, I said for a rubber stem? rufus said it was for cleaning and sealing I did not ask them to do. The the other manager yelled across the showroom "take your keys and get out!" This s. in my opinion, is rude and incompetent at the very least is rude, unprofessional and dishonrst! My advice is they don't deserve our business!

I went there for a simple tire plug due to a nail.. It was in the middle of the tread so I know it can be done. A guy grabs his clipboard and wants to take a look. Within 2 seconds he tells me there is not enough tread on my tire, high --end Goodrich with 15K miles on it, and says that means he cannot plug it due to company policy. He then tells me I will need all four tires replaced. Knowing this was not the case I asked if he could just do the plug for now so I can get home and I will get back to them. He refused and said he would be breaking the law. This was not the only incident like this. I sent my wife there previously and they told her they could not plug her tire. She called me and I told her to just get the cheapest tire for now and we would replace all four later since they had plenty of tread. After we got off the phone they told her they could not put the cheaper tire on because it would damage the car. They sold her an expensive tire instead.
