Went in for an oil change and a courtesy check that included a free battery check. A week later I had a dead battery. The cables and connections were corroded. You would think the technician would of mentioned that at the time. Makes me wonder if the oil was even changed. Won't be going back to the place.

The reason I keep coming back to this store is because of Jim. He’s honest, helpful, and always takes the time to answer my questions. My mom came in for an oil change and a diagnostic, she was told the wait would be long and she had the option to wait or come early next day. She decided to come in the next day and reiterated she needed her oil changed as well as, check a rattling noise in her car that’s only heard while driving. She was told the mechanic wouldn’t be in until later so she could wait the hour for the oil change or leave the car to get checked. She decided to leave the car specifically to get diagnosed. She received a call that the car was ready but got no communication about the rattling noise. Upon entering the building with her, the front desk employee had the keys in his hand and said the total price, keep in mind.. that is all he said to us. I asked “what was wrong with the car?” and he replied with “oh yeah the noise.. let me go ask.” Once coming back he said they didn’t hear anything in which I replied the car definitely makes a noise. The employee then basically said they’re just oil guys, they’re not really mechanics so if you want I can make that appointment for you now. Which I kindly declined considering that was the entire point of my mom leaving her car. Overall just bad customer service, it reinforced the stereotype of auto shops not taking women seriously.

Nobody likes buying tires, and price wise Tire Choice is in line with most tire shops for new tires and repairs. What sets this location apart for me is the service. They have been straight forward and honest about times.

The best, most caring, nicest people! They give you a great deal and really take care of you. I highly recommend this place. You won’t go anywhere else once you’ve been here! Update November 2024: On this visit, I had already gone to the dealership since I was also getting some recall warranty work done on my car, but in addition needed a repair done. I received a quote of over $1100 from the dealership. I declined the service and immediately called the guys at Tire Choice. Pete answered the phone and arranged an appointment for me for the next morning. I should’ve just called them first. In the end I was able to save over $600 compared to what the dealership would have charged me. If you want a group of honest guys who won’t take advantage of you and will get the job done right, you should call Jim, Pete or Alex at Tire Choice! They care about having lifelong customers and treat you like family.

Tire Choice manager, James Johnson was welcoming, polite and professional as he has been always in the past. The tire replaced was done properly, in a timely manner. The facility is always clean and presentable. I can highly recommend Tire Choice in Carrollwood, Tampa. I am always happy to drive the extra distance, passing other tire stores, to come here for great and reasonable service. Thank you!

Fair wait for a high mileage oil change. Good customer service from guy upfront. Would come back. I wish they had checked my brakes as requested, but not sure if it is included in the purchase I acquired. Coming back to them for sure.

Just got new tires from The Tire Choice for the second time and once again, I am very satisfied! They always do a great job with all their repairs. They are friendly and quick! They have a very comfortable and clean waiting room. Jim always finds the best prices for you and makes sure that you know what’s going on with your vehicle! When I moved to Tampa 8 years ago I didn’t know who to trust with my car. Now I won’t go anywhere else! Check this place out if you are in need of someone trustworthy to service your vehicle. 👍🏻👍🏻

When I dropped off my truck the were very accommodating to my time. I had an event that I needed to get my truck to and they worked on my vehicle quickly so that I could make it to my event.

As good as it gets! In need of a tire, I called this location and spoke to Steve. He checked to confirm he had the tire I needed, then told me he would squeeze me in even though they were busy. He underpromised and overdelivered. I was in and out in just over an hour, paid a very reasonable price, and will definitely return. Exceptional experience.

Fraud, criminal theft, extensive poor communication/hopefully he'll just forget about it and go away, you be the judge. It's taken a while to get around to formulating this post after giving Tire Choice numerous opportunities to resolve, and admittedly not even knowing what resolution looked like after being lied to, neglected repeatedly, and feeling like I stopped the process of being robbed in the act. All of this after being a customer for over a decade, which makes me wonder how many times before this incident overcharged me for work they didn't complete. As you can see from the photo's, one is a picture of one shock, which they said they replaced both and clearly did not, the 2nd is of the quote, which I was told numerous times all of the work was completed, by multiple managers, with the general manager telling me he saw the parts purchase order himself. However, I only approved the thermostat assembly, diag serv., and coolant exchange. Unfortunately all of the work except for the shocks is internal so I can't see if it's been completed, yet I'm still having the same issue I had when I took the car in to begin with, and the coolant level was (to the naked eye) at the same level it was when I took it in (i.e. about a 1/2 inch below full (in my car the coolant sits in a see thru plastic overflow container with a full line clearly visible). Although I was originally charged for all of the work, they refunded the difference (after a month or so), yet still maintained they completed all of the work until I sent them the photo and gave a 2nd location an opportunity to try to fix the car, which they didn't. ASK FOR YOUR PARTS! Initially I only asked for the Diagnostic printout, which I was told they didn't have. In hindsight I wish I would have asked for all of the parts. It's unfortunate people still do stuff like this, which was attempting to steal more than $1500 (i.e. $2121.54 (quote total) - approved items = $421 (thermostat assembly)- $89.95 (coolant fld exchange) -$ 99.99 (computer diagnostic) = $1510.6 total overcharged for work not completed)from me. Stealing / theft is a crime, and at this dollar figure I believe it's a felony. Come on people, do your jobs like decent people.
