Bought in my 77 Mercedes 280SE for a smog after calling multiple places with no luck. Gilbert at the front desk was pleasant to do business with. I was out within 40 minutes.

I’ve been bringing my truck here over the last few years anytime I need work done on it and it has always been a very pleasant and easy experience. Everyone that works here is always so nice and truly cares and is there to help. Today, I brought in my truck on a whim because of a concerning noise and they checked it out, fixed it and got me out of there within ten minutes and wouldn’t even let me pay them for their work. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough!

Really wonderful service here. Chris the owner is a kind, honest and thoughtful person. I trust this shop and their work. All the employees are positive and nice as well. It seems they are treated well. I’m happy to entrust my car to the Smog Shop.

FINDING A RELIABLE AUTO CAR SERVICE CAN BE A GAMBLE. I FIRST WENT TO THE SMOG SHOP A FEW YEARS AGO TO HAVE A NEW CATALYTIC CONVERTER INSTALLED AFTER MINE WAS STOLEN. THE SECOND TIME I WENT TO THE SMOG SHOP WAS TO GET A SMOG INSPECTION. BOTH VISITS WERE QUICK AND PROBLEM FREE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SMOG SHOP. (I WAS ALSO IMPRESSED HOW CLEAN THE RESTROOM WAS.)

Incredible experience. Chris and team are fantastic, efficient, honest, fairly price. I was in and out in less than an hour without an appointment. Probably the first time I haven’t felt like I was getting ripped off when getting my car fixed. Highly recommend.

I have an 86 Jaguar and these guys are the best out there. From the staff at the desk to the guys who work on the cars, extremely professional and transparent. They understand old cars and shoot straight with you. The Jag needed a lot of finesse to pass. I doubt anyone else in the city would have stayed with the 12 or more tries it took to pass it. They're the sort of place where they bring you out to the car and show you what's wrong if you want to see it. It's been years since since I've been in a shop like this.

Star smog test for my 85 Porsche 911. They were polite and respectful of my car. In and out in 40 minutes without a reservation. They made it easy to get into their shop and the brought the car around to an alley when finished. Price was $10-20 lower than competitors. Highly recommend these folks.

A+ experience dealing with Chris and the whole Smog Shop team. Easy to communicate with, knowledgeable, no nonsense, fair prices. I would recommend scheduling with them ahead of time as the shop tends to be on the busier side, but that's normal based on the quality of their service. Had catalytic converters replaced on my car and smog check performed a week later.

I got a new muffler and tail pipe for my 1994 4RUNNER today. The old muffler and tail were rusted out. Great service at this shop!

I went in for a smog repair and they check my brakes and told me that I had to replace the brakes and rotors and bearings I change my own brakes I do not remember smog repair catalic converter $2,000.00 I had to pay I'm in the hospital I had to get the sticker when it rains it pours

Incredible shop, I had called over 10 different shop to have my new RV 31ft to be smog, so many people made so much fun in San Francisco. It was absolutely ridiculous., Chris was absolutely a gentleman. The staff are incredible and it’s really nice to see a shop mechanic shop like this in San Francisco., they’re not just a smoke but they do a lot of mechanic work and they are at first class Mechanic shop.

Talked to Gilbert about an issue with the coolant hose assembly on my Ford Transit Connect and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, provided a fair estimate, and gave great personal advice rather than what would net the most revenue for the shop. I really appreciate his time and advice, thank you!

The people at the smog shop are some of the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve ever dealt with in the auto industry. The owner took hours out of his own day to help my car get smogged after multiple attempts and didn’t charge me for the extra time. Really an amazing guy and I’m glad I came here. I couldn’t recommend enough.
