Awesome experience from word get-go! They communicated everything very clearly and were super efficient. I needed new tires a repair of the tailgate let-down support and an oil change and I was in and out in about an hour. Really nice and helpful folks there - I highly recommend them!

I booked a last-minute appointment over a holiday weekend when I had some fuel tank trouble with my RAM 1500. I got a quick confirmation of the last minute appointment and was greeted by Peter and the friendly staff during drop off. The staff performed an oil change (at my request) and quick diagnostic of my issue but we're not able to recreate the issue. Rather than attempting to upsell me on any services or convince me that I needed major fuel tank fixes, they provided an honest opinion about my issue, recommended a few precautions, and welcomed me to bring the truck back if it persisted. They didn't even charge me for the diagnostic. Great experience and they have my business going forward!

So first off, they take about 1.5-2 hours for a simple oil change; they have two old guys back there moseying around before finishing the work (not against older guys but TWO HOURS for an oil change?!?!). Then, they told my wife that she needed her belt changed because it had cracks, and tried to sell her on it. She took it to the VW dealership (you know, the people notoriously known for pushing work that isn’t necessary) and said it was fine. They ALSO said my Subaru needed about $6K worth of work (the actual value of the vehicle), didn’t do any of it, and it’s still driving wonderfully. Wouldn’t touch this company with a ten foot dip stick anymore.

Some feedback on my service experience at Gordon Automotive, Austin, TX. I have a 2019 Honda Ridgeline, with 74K miles. It needed a lot of service; cam drive belt and water pump, valve service, spark plugs, all fluids ( engine oil, transmission, brakes, coolant, transfer case, differential) and an injector flush. It took a few days, but the truck runs great, everything is clean and in order, and the drive home Very Smooth! I hate to think what the Honda dealer would charge for this work, and I have a 50K mile warranty. I would recommend Gordon Auto to Anyone!

Gordon Automotive actually deserves negative stars! I am fairly certain that the below positive reviews obviously must come from family/friends of the owner/employees. Although, in the past…This used to be a very honest & efficient business. That is no longer the case! I have given this place my business for almost 30 years. My V8 350 engine Chevy car was cutting off when I was driving. I took my car in on a Monday and they didn’t even contact me until Thursday when they told me to come pick it up. They charged me $156.00 for doing absolutely nothing. They told me the technician drove it for an hour and a half, and could not find the problem. Five minutes after I left Gordon Automotive, my car stopped running. The second I got in my car, I knew no one had driven my car for an hour and a half to check it out, because the gas gauge hadn’t moved from the last time I was in the car. You do not drive a car that size for an hour and a half without using some serious gas. Also, the mileage had been noted when the car was towed to Gordon’s. There was only a couple more miles on it from when it left my house. The car was not checked out at all. They charged me $156 for doing absolutely nothing and they kept my car for four days. I am embarrassed for Gordon Automotive. Also, what kind of mechanic would drive someone else’s car for an hour and a half, to diagnose it? You drive it for a little while, and then you look under the hood and listen to it idle, etc. All you had to do is stand next to the car to tell that it wasn’t idling right and that it had a serious problem. Gordon Automotive has a serious problem. I did make it home, but the car died three times on the way home. They stone cold ripped me off. I almost forgot the part about how the technician left his garbage bag in my car. I guess that was the insult added to injury. Professional? Just the opposite. I ended up taking my vehicle to a real mechanic who repaired the problem for just slightly more money than Gordon Automotive stole from me…for keeping my car for four days and doing absolutely nothing.

These guys are quick and fixed, rather replaced, my rear wipers in a day. This was not the first time for me. I paused while the three year warranty on my new car ran but came right back to the great service I began receiving 10 years ago.
