These guys are nice but shady. They used a gimmick to show me how urgently I needed to replace my alternator, and said it was running 100% off battery so it would only run for a few minutes if I tried to drive it. They tried everything to convince me to leave it with them. They quoted me at a very reasonable price and maybe they'd do a fantastic job, but my gut said if I left my car here I'd end up paying for a few more "urgent" repairs. I drove it over to an auto part store to test the voltage with numbers, not cool tricks. The car does, in fact, need a new alternator but like, "sometime soon", not right this minute or else. Plenty of time to take it to a different, more honest shop

Great, fast, courteous, professional, humble auto service at a reasonable fair price. The machanic used only quality fluids & parts for your car. I had an oil change service done, and it was a very pleasant positive experience doing business with this auto services & repairs shop. 2 thumbs up !

When I lived in Japantown, I always took my car to Taylor Arco Automotive Repair. They did a fantastic job on my Toyota Corolla, and I always trusted them to ensure that all necessary work was done correctly and honestly. Most recently, I was in town with my new car, which I took on a 12,000-mile road trip. The crew at Taylor Arco made sure to inspect the car and do everything needed to ensure it was running at 100%. In addition to the usual maintenance, they cleared up my headlights and even cleaned my radiator. I highly recommend this shop if you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic who will go above and beyond to ensure your vehicle is running smoothly.

I never write reviews for anything, so it's special that I'm writing this at all. One day my hybrid car started to smell of sulfur and other shops dismissed it as a dead rodent in the hood without event taking a look at it. I described the symptoms to Arco off Taylor and they said they would take a look without charge. Turns out the starter battery was overdue to be replaced (not something that was every known to me). Everyone on staff that day was very nice and very informative in letting me know what was going on and what to look out for in the future. They gave me a reasonable quote, which I happily agreed to. As a bonus, they also spent extra time (without charge) to fix a dent I had on the front fender that I had for a long time. They aren't an auto body shop but they fixed it to a condition that was satisfactory for me. I would definitely recommend Arco off Taylor for your automotive needs, they are friendly, informative, and work hard for their customers. As an added bonus, if your car needs more work it's a close walk to Japantown where you can grab food/drinks while you wait.

Safi is super helpful and takes care of any problems rightaway. Great price transparency and communication compared to other mechanics/dealerships as well - can only recommend.

Safi took care of us with a detailed inspection on top of our oil change which identified some small issues that they took care of same day at a reasonable price. They even cleared up our foggy headlights at no charge. Highly recommend.

I went there a week ago and Safi did a great job on my car, he seemed very knowledgeable and nice guy. He was able to service my Maserati pretty quickly at half the price of a dealer. I will definitely go back.

Tony has retired as of April 2024 but it seems he has hired and trained some good people to continue the business. Tony was very highly recommended by several of my friends. My car serviced by them on 3/25/24. Will update this review later as more experience and results become known. So far, very good. 👍🏼 ★★★★★

I have been going to Tony's for 8+ years, he has been my go to mechanic ever since. He's reliable and trustworthy. Excellent work and very knowledgeable.
