THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS FOR AN OIL CHANGE!! What is customer service? It’s that unspoken step above the merchant offers to encourage consumers to spend their money with them rather than with their competitors. We all know it when we see it and more importantly, recognize when it’s missing. But what’s even more galling than absent customer service is for a worker (who did the bare minimum) to write up a receipt that incorrectly says he went a step above and offered customer service when he didn’t. Take 5 runs commercials claiming oil changes so fast you can’t believe it. That was not the case at store number 801. After pulling into the bay, only one employee seemed to work on my vehicle. According to the receipt, that was Dennis. He kept eye contact with me as much as possible and would give me the occasional thumbs up, to let me know he was trying to take care of me. My receipt also says “Tee” was manning the hood and safety of the vehicle, but he and his two other coworkers just stood there laughing and talking loudly while Dennis was trying to find the tools needed to remove the oil plug. Why do I say they were loud? Because I had a business call that came in and they could hear them even though I had my headphones in. One of the other three could have helped him look for the tools he needed so my oil change would have been closer to the five minutes advertised rather than the 15 minutes it took. Now I’m sure the owner will want to make a comment about how no one else can do anything until the plug comes out and the oil is drained. Allow me to save him/her the time. Good customer service would have had at least one of the other people checking the tire pressure, washer fluid level, checking my wiper blades, cleaning the front and back windows, checking my oil filter and air filters. But none of these steps to persuade customers to spend their money with them vs their competitors were done. To be clear, on my receipt “Tee” claims to have performed all of these steps, but alas he came up short. After I paid for the service, he handed me the new sticker and said, “Here you go.” I’m used to actual customer service where they ask, “Do you want me to remove the old sticker and put the new one on for you?” He didn’t even ask me if I knew how to reset the oil life indicator in my vehicle. These things take an extra five seconds each, but he couldn’t be bothered. Bare minimum. What’s the cure? Valvoline! Their people are not just friendly, but they’re actually working. Imagine each worker is a Dennis, working hard on your vehicle, giving you eye contact, letting you know you made the right choice trusting him with your car. They don’t just say they checked your tires, washer fluid, wipers, oil filter, air filters and everything else, but they actually do it, talking to you all along the way as they perform their tasks. If you’re looking for a return on your purchase, avoid Take 5 and go to Valvoline. They even mail out coupons to save you money!! If you don’t care about the extra step to encourage you to return, then check out the guys who do the minimum.

Horrible - if I could give negative stars I would. I was in a time crunch and needed my oil changed. Not only did it take over an hour to have my truck serviced, they also did not screw the oil plug on all the way. It must have rattled lose while driving because when I got home, all of the oil leaked on my garage floor and driveway. Luckily this happened as I pulled in my driveway, otherwise my engine would be toast. However, now I have to deal with large oil stains on my garage/driveway. I had my truck towed to my normal mechanic and they sent the picture attached. The plug was LITERALLY hanging on by a thread. If you'd like to keep your car running - DO NOT TAKE IT HERE!

I didn't have a good experience. I was told the cost was one thing and after the service the cost was almost $30 higher. I won't be using this business again

From the time I waited for 1 hour to get my oil changed then my car leaking all but 1 quart of oil left had to come back for another 45 to get problem fixed I could locked up my engine

Horrible experience, the technician got my oil cap stuck between my radiator & fan and couldn’t get it out so now it’s stuck and making noise who can I talk to about this matter

I don't know if the wrong oil was used or wrong Air filter but when I left their I went home which is 2 blocks away, parked left out 4 hrs later and my car is soo loud . My car was never loud . I went back but of course they see nothing. I'm so sad

The Assistant Manager and staff was great friendly gave us a free pack of water explained everything even though I knew what I was doing. Just really nice customer service I will be going again and the price is great.!!
