Ever since one of the managers, Gus, left, the customer service has declined significantly. I attempted to get a top-off today, but after waiting for over 30 minutes and watching several vehicles get serviced before me, I decided to leave. Additionally, they wrote on my window—this may be standard practice, but due to their lackluster customer service, they never took the time to explain it or ask if I was a new customer. I usually visit Take 5 on West Market, where I always have a great experience, but I stopped by this location since I was in the area. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. Not a single employee acknowledged me as I left, which further confirmed the poor service.

I arrived here at 12:12pm on a Friday afternoon. Gabe greeted me and offered a bottle of water. He checked under the hood and let me know they would be with me shortly. All 3 bays had a car in them. I was the next person in the 3rd bay. Prior to arriving, I called around for prices and I actually got a 25 off coupon from the agent I spoke to. Once there, I saw they have 15% off for ride share drivers and 25% for military and veterans. When I called, I was told for full synthetic it was $85. There, I saw they didn’t even have an $85 option, only a $90 option. Apparently, my car takes advanced full synthetic which was $107 plus tax.. i was annoyed that I had to spend more than anticipated as I was calling around to different places. It was $90 after the coupon. I was done by 12:40pm. They didn’t push me to buy extra stuff such as windshield wipers; only asked once. Overall, decent experience. My only issue was the price discrepancy.

I had an oil change done at Take 5 Oil Change, located at 1715 Battleground Ave, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. Just a month later, I noticed my car leaking oil and had to take it to a reputable repair shop to figure out what was going on. The ASME-certified master mechanic at the repair shop showed me exactly how careless and neglectful the lube tech at Take 5 had been. The oil pan screw was left loose, as was the oil filter. These mistakes caused the oil leak & could have resulted in far worse damage to my car if I hadn’t brought it in for proper repairs. The master mechanic mentioned that not everyone is certified to work on vehicles, & it’s clear that the staff at this Take 5 location don’t have the qualifications or experience needed. It felt like they were just thrown into the job with no proper training, likely hired only a couple of weeks prior. This level of negligence is unacceptable. Oil changes are an important factor of vehicle maintenance & is something you need to trust will be done correctly, and Take 5 failed miserably. I’d strongly advise anyone considering this location to go elsewhere if they value their car & want peace of mind.

First and last time I will visit this place. Waited in line for almost 40 minutes with only two cars in-front of me. No prices shown, and when I get inside they show me the price options that start at $90 after they had already drained my oil pan. Technician then got inside my truck, removed the cabin air filter (which I replace myself) and told me it was dirty. When I declined the service he shoved the dirty filter back in without even a curtesy shake of the trash and dust that was on it. More services were offered and when I declined the technician became rude and held the card reader in my face telling me the price, which was already astronomical given the quality of the oil used and the experience. Next time I’ll “take 5” miles down the road somewhere else.

I am beyond frustrated with the service at Take 5 Oil Change on Battleground Avenue in Greensboro, NC. During my recent visit, their technician caused a cracked oil pan, which ultimately led to catastrophic engine failure and the need for a complete engine replacement. A technician named Brandon told my child to drive the car home, park it, and said a claim would be filed. I was never contacted. I had to go up there to get anyone to talk to me about the incident. Jermaine, the manager of the location, admitted that his technicians caused the damage and assured us they (his district manager) would take care of it. However, no claim was ever filed, and now they are refusing to take responsibility. The receipt from the visit clearly states that their team caused the damage, yet they continue to deny accountability. Despite our repeated attempts to resolve this, we have never been contacted by the district manager. As loyal customers who trusted their services for years, this experience has been an absolute nightmare. Due to their negligence and refusal to take responsibility, we have been forced to retain an attorney to handle this matter. The lack of professionalism and integrity at this location is unacceptable. I strongly advise others to avoid this location if you value your vehicle and expect honest, reliable service.

It was a cold day and the guys had to work in an Un- air conditioned space so that may have something to do with the general grouchiness of the guy that took my info. Of course I was sitting in my car and I had to roll down my window to tell him my info when I started. I tried to roll up my window a couple of times because it was cold. Instead of politely explaining he had more questions to ask he was very gruff. I’m not offended, but I think the owner should know that his employees are not representing take 5 in the most professional manner. Maybe some more training is in order. . Second visit. And last. Your employees could probably use some customer service training. I was waiting in line and one of them walks up with a face that look like he was going to tell me to leave. After I asked him how I could help him, his demeanor changed, but teach these guys how to smile.
