BEWARE: I brought my vehicle into this shop to address a transmission fluid leak and asked for a simple lift check/visual inspection to determine if the leak was obvious. I explained that I was open to paying for their $125 diagnostic test if the leak source couldn’t be easily identified. Unfortunately, the mechanic was combative, dismissive, and rude throughout the process. Instead of discussing options reasonably, he insisted on the full $125 fee without even entertaining a more basic, preliminary inspection. At one point, he said while mean mugging me, “Well, I’m gonna have to charge to wipe it so I can see,” but was not even transparent about the cost for that step. This lack of openness on pricing combined with his tone made me feel like I was being strong-armed into unnecessary charges. Shady business.

Great experience, friendly staff, fair and reasonable prices. ASE certified mechanics. Reccommend taking your vehicle here over any other place like Dobbs, Mieneke and the like. Sylvan Springs Automotive will treat you right, fix the problem and wont inflate the price or pad the bill.

This place charged me for a new heater core and labor when all they did was pour stop leak in it. It still leaked and had a friend look at it and it was the original heater core! They never replaced it!

I've been taking my vehicles to Sylvan Springs for years. Harry and Clayton are both very qualified mechanics and extremely honest & fair people. I highly recommend to others to use their services for any minor or major repairs and all maintenance required for your vehicles. Staff is very helpful and friendly to deal with.

This place is scamming people on safety and emissions testing. I fixed what failed & took it back to them and they failed it again for something else. So now I have to fix something that wasn't broken before I took it back to them. I would recommend watching everything they do if you take your car there.

We've used them for safety/emissions testing as well as other repairs on our vehicles. They are competitively prices and always explain what they did (or did not) do great detail. I'm extremely skeptical of mechanics but Harry and his team have earned my trust.

I was recently on vacation 1100 miles from home and had an issue with my van. They came recommended by friends who live in the area. The people could not have been nicer, the mechanic I found out was the owner. He did the repair at a very reasonable price and I was on my way. Thanks Harry! You saved my vacation.

These guys did a great job of fixing my car both times that I have visited them. I was only charged one time for something that I didn't know about up front, however, prior to installing the parts and charging me they called me to confirm whether or not I wanted to proceed with the repair. Excellent work overall.
