I took my Volvo to the local dealer when my engine light came on. They gave me a laundry list of needed repairs totaling $4500. When I brought my car to Scott at Swedish Imports for a second opinion he told me only one item on the list actually required repair/replacement (oil trap) and only charged me for that item. My car is purring like a kitten again and my air conditioner is somehow colder/blowing harder even though it was not mentioned on the list. This level of integrity and honesty is unparalleled. I will be a loyal customer for life.

Had my 2018 Volvo in today for its 50,000 mile regular maintenance. My first visit with them. Got the standard stuff done as well as a new stop/stop battery. Great price and great service. New loyal customer! Two thumbs up!

Great place and great staff. My son has a fairly old Volvo and about once every year or so something breaks and we have to take it here. These guys are always very helpful and friendly and quick. With our most recent issue we had to have it towed over. I think the truck left with it around 4:00pm. Thankfully it broke down less than 2 miles from these guys. We picked it up 2 hours later with a new belt.

If you own a Volvo - and on the rare occasion that it needs work - these are the folks to take it to. They are the Doctors of all that is Swede. If it needs it they'll fix it - if it doesn't they won't. Aside from being a great repair shop - they count on a long term relationship with their client base which is rare in today's world. Highly recommend this group of Volvo nerds.

Overall service and response is timely. Price is not cheap, but seems fair for quality of work/cost of parts for this manufacturer. Only one slight gripe keeping me from 5 stars: I have been in twice to have the handbrake serviced and it still gets stuck on cold mornings (about 25% lockup on brake.) I told them this and they said they had never heard of that, even though a quick google would show that it is a very common problem Since it is an older car and I saw no history of replacement I wondered if a fresh cable would lessen these instances. Instead my solution is to get up earlier and heat the car longer the night before a big freeze (duh) But this takes about 30 minutes which seems excessive, but I have never experienced this before. They told me to just not use my handbrake which leaves me a bit miffed as to why they charged me twice to fix it. For context I have a steep driveway and my car is a manual. I was worried about leaving it in gear without brake, but it seems like that would add minimal wear to the transmission. So I may try that next.
