Definitely recommend them! They’re super transparent and have integrity! A year ago I got a part replaced that was causing my check engine light to come on. They fixed it and a few months later the light came back on. I went back to them and they told me the part was under warranty, so they replaced the part free of charge, even the labor. Thank you!!

Johnny saved my panicking ass yesterday! I ran in an hour before close cus my 99 Camry wouldn’t start and he rode his bike over to my car to help me figure it out. Thankfully it was a quick fix and he wouldn’t even take my money. Truly a gem! Thanks for looking out ✨🙏

I was looking for a new mechanic in the Ob area and my boyfriend recommended sunset garage. Johnny is great! Very thorough explanations. He provides a detailed report including pictures. Awesome customer service and I felt as though my car was in safe hands. No crazy prices either, unlike the dealership I just left. Will be returning

Johnny and Sunset Garage are great! We had a sudden problem with our daughter's car as we had traveled from out of state and were trying to get her dropped off for school. He took a quick break from what he was doing to investigate the problem and was able to squeeze us in the next day to do a proper fix. We feel so much better knowing that our daughter has a trusted mechanic to take her car while she is living far from home. We couldn't recommend Johnny and his crew more highly!

if you’re looking for an honest mechanic who offers fair pricing, look no further. as a woman, and as someone not versed in cars, it is sometimes hard to find a place that doesn’t take advantage of my lack of auto knowledge. Johnny is always very transparent about exactly what to expect. I will be taking my car(s) to him for as long as i live in san diego. 10/10, would send my mom here.

Sunset Garage was great. Our alternator failed and they were able to repair it and get it back to us the same day. Even did it at a lower cost than the original quote. Highly recommended.

My alternator died the week of 4th of July while my family was vacationing in San Diego. John and his team went above and beyond! They got the new alternator from the Ford dealership, and turned around and got me back on the road 1-day later. Other garages were telling me that it would take a week, and he did it in 24 hours. I only wish that this garage was in AZ because John would be my new mechanic after this positive experience!

My daughter's coworker highly recommended Sunset Garage to me. He was absolutely right. Johnny is a great guy. He is very friendly and accommodating. He helped me out tremendously in my last visit. I needed to have the brakes checked and repaired in a hurry. Johnny did the inspection on short notice and had two people work simultaneously to perform the repair work so I could have the car back when I needed. His charge was very reasonable and his work was excellent. I highly recommend Sunsets Garage for your car repairs. Thank you Johnny!

Johnny and his team are really the best. They were able to squeeze me in when I had an emergency and are always super thorough and do a great job! Its always a pleasure giving them my business and they really make an effort to provide not only a good service to their clients but great value! I will have to get some more work done on my car soon and appreciate Johnny letting me know hes gonna shop around for the needed parts to get me the best price. Its the little extra effort they put into their customer service that really makes it an easy choice for all my car needs.

This was my first time and I live in the neighborhood - everyone was very friendly and I didn't realize they are slammed most days but they fit me in within the hour I was there. Very thankful and will be going back to Sunset Garage!

Thank you Sunset Garage! My 35-year-old Miata woke up very grumpy the other day - in fact, she hardly woke at all. I worried that she might finally be on her last leg - and fretted about how much I'd need to spend to resuscitate her. Would it be wise or should I pull the plug? I took her to Johnny at Sunset. He and his crew replaced wires, plugs, gaskets - until she purred . After half a day at the Sunset Spa, she's running like a kid again! And my tab was less than $500. Thank you, Sunset!

Sunset garage is the place to take your car! As a female it can be intimidating finding somewhere to take your car, but these guys will take care of you! Johnny was extremely helpful and transparent with everything he did and had concerns over. Turn around time was very fast and prices are reasonable. Definitely recommend!

I have been going to Sunset garage for a year with all 4 of our family vehicles: Honda Pilot, Honda CRV, Ford Bronco, and a Toyota Prius. They have always provided excellent work, knowledge, and never over charging. We are lucky that we found an honest and professional service with Johnny and his top shelf staff.
