Excellent service! They were closing shop. I had low tire pressure and yet TJ was kind enough to take all the time in the world to add air to my tire to the right mark. And all without any charge. I loved how TJ was prompt, professional, kind and courteous. I am definitely coming back here for all my car problems

This is for a smog review. This gas station is very busy with lots of people getting gas, cars repaired and smog tests. I drove up, saw all this and thought uh oh, this is going to take awhile if they even do it today! But apparently they are very efficient and did my smog test right then in about 30 - 45 minutes! The staff is extremely courteous also. I would definitely go back to get a smog test or even try them out for a car repair in the future. Good job Sunset 76!

All I can say is WOW 😮!! I came for smog and they finished in less than 30 minutes. I drove in at 8:32 and drove out at 8:59 according to my CC receipt 🥳👍 Diagnostic paper set test time at 8:42:02 (am) 😎💪👍🙏 AWESOME JOB SUNSET 76!! YOU GUYS ROCK !! (I prayed God to make it a quick and positive test and Bang - 27 minutes!! 🤣 All Glory to the coming Savior Jesus Christ!!)💪🙏😎

Came in for car battery. When I called and asked if they have and can replace my car battery, they said yes. But when I came in in person and asked again if they have the battery. I showed them photo of the battery. They girl with some attitude told me to wait to tell me the details. I waited while she helped ringing other customer before me. Then came my turn; she told me she got me. Okay. But then she helped other customer needed for oil change. Then I came up to her to ask for details; guess what? She told me they can’t perform battery replacement on my car. Really? You wanted me to wait for only to me told that you can’t perform the battery replacement ? Wow! What a waste of time! Guess what? Never would I come here ever again for anything. Found other service on Geary that is way more professional and capable. Apparently they can’t change battery for my 2019 AUDI. I DON’t recommend this place!

Fast and fair. Update 900 miles later: they fixed my air conditioning - in under an hour - on a Saturday - in San Francisco. I was shocked at how little it cost. We had 13 hours ahead of us which would've been absolutely unbearable otherwise... I am so grateful to have found this shop.

I’ve been meaning to leave Sunset 76 a good review for years. I found them back when I was in college and was navigating taking care of my car on my own for the first time. I was worried since I had no idea what I was doing but they were very honest and helpful. The owner was patient, fair and very communicative. He even talked to my dad on the phone for me when I was confused about the repair (lol). Ever since then I’ve returned to them for everything, from repairs to new tires. Each time the price was reasonable, customer service was great, and the repair was quick and reliable. I’ve even called around to other mechanics for price quotes, and Sunset 76 prices were always far lower! It really feels like they know what they are doing and take pride in providing fair, excellent service. I’ve recommended them to multiple friends and everyone has had a great experience as well. Thank you!

Excellent service. My call to this shop was immediately answered and referred to a manager who took time explaining my options and then recommended a muffler shop, better equipped to fixing specific issue I described.

Have had two tires repaired/replaced here. Both times service was fast, and reasonable cost. They called when car was ready for pickup. One time, my tire pressure monitor sensor was damaged in the repair. They replaced it at no charge. Mistakes are bound to happen and when they do you want a place like this that honors their work and treats you right. Thanks to the team at Sunset 76! Would definitely recommend!

I came in with issues with my recently bought Toyota Highlander as well as trust issues regarding mechanics. Louis contacted me with what they found and gave me his honest opinion without being pushy. He was straightforward and understanding in all of his communications—good guy that was concerned with what was best for me as a driver and not just hoping to get money out of me. The mechanics did an excellent job and all are real stand-up guys. They really helped me in a pinch and did the work quickly. Highly recommend.

I took my car in earlier this month for a dead battery issue. They charged $340 for a battery change. A high premium for a simple task, but it was apparently hard to change a battery for a dodge journey. They also forgot to let me know the job was done, which is not professional. Now, a month later, the battery is dying. They didn't even check the other parts of the car to see what was wrong.

Excellent shop. They do great work on old cars like my Honda. Anything goes wrong they take me in right away no matter how busy they are. This is definitely going to be my shop for years to come.

I pulled in on a Friday night at 7 pm with a flat tire that couldn’t be fixed because I had used fix a flat - slime sealer.( Another place had recommended using it and because I used it they couldn’t plug the leak.) Even though it was after hours, Admir, the mechanic said he would put on a new tire for me. I really appreciated his help. This is what a service station should be. Thanks Admir!!

Just had my tire plugged. Nextdoor app and other reviews stated $20 for tire plug for a flat. I was charged $25. Perhaps because I'm a woman. Make sure you call ahead of time to ask how much it costs. The person at the desk was not friendly and was dismissive. I know Louie who runs the place and I've seen how nice he is to others. I followed Simon and his crew from Kirkham and 19th here. I get inflation but they're not consistent with how much they charge customers. This is too bad as I will look for another mechanic.

My 2003 CRV had a busted alternator, I brought it in and 24 hours later it was ready. It cost me $530, which is reasonable especially considering another place I called in the area wanted $1,000+. If anything changes I’ll update this review.

Super Fast Service! I had a huge nail in my tire, the technician repair it in like 10 min and only 25 bucks. He check all four tires, replace the spare tire and even put it back in the trunk! I know very little about cars and I feel they save the day! Thank you🧡

The other day, I developed a flat tire on 19th Ave in pouring rain. I found myself at Sunset 76 and am very pleased that I did. The service team reviewed my flat tire and replaced it in short order. I recommend the team and their kind, positive demeanor. I was flustered, and they were completely level-headed. Thank you JR
