I won't trust that place even for an oil change. Six months ago, I made the mistake of going there with an injection problem. An injector failed, after replacing all 6 injectors, the sparkplugs and expending about $1,500, the nightmare started. Since then, I have been there 12 times for warranty service. Five out six of the injectors failed (about 85% failure), a seal was placed the wrong way and another was pinched caused gas leaks; another injector failed when driving on the highway and I could go over 25 mph; the starter failed because it was taking up to 10 seconds to start for lack of pressure on the injectors, the Camshaft was replaced, the injection pump also replaced, etc... Five days ago, I was there with another leaking injector and found a new manager, that promised to fix the problem. Sun Auto sent the car to a different shop, because they don't have good mechanics, the previous manager told me that and JD, the new manager confirmed it. Today, I went to ask about the status of my car, and I was told they don't know anything because the other shop is working on it. JD, the new manager, basically ignored me and I had to go to the shop floor looking for him. After 6 months, about $2,000 in charges (I had to pay for towing twice), 12 warranty visits, my son paying for Uber to go to work and at least 50 to 60 days without a car, they are avoiding me. The new management is not better than the old one. Avoid that place, avoid nightmares. I was in need off some breaks services on my vehicle on a Saturday I call many shop but no luck I then call sun auto and received an appointment for that same day. The price was very reasonable in comparison to the dealer I will definitely recommend this shop.

It’s hard finding a trust worthy mechanic, especially when you just relocated. I came across Sun Auto a couple months ago they’ve been a massive help. Jaime and Ethan make sure the customer is well taken care of. Won’t use anyone else but them.

Nice people and location in Katy. They were hundreds of dollars less than the national average of the work I had performed. They even worked with me on the price for something I needed done but was gonna postpone until my next visit. Just moved to this area and feeling very lucky I tried them first. Follow up 5 months later and their work has held up. Took it in today for a few items and again it was $75 cheaper than the National average.

Disappointing Service Experience at Sun Auto I recently visited Sun Auto for routine maintenance on my vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a disturbing encounter with one of their technicians. The service itself seemed satisfactory, but when I inquired about an issue with my adaptive speed control display, the technician was shockingly dismissive and rude. he claimed the problem existed prior to my visit, which I know wasn't true. The technician's short temper and blatant disregard for my concerns left a sour taste. As a customer, I expect respect and professionalism, especially when addressing issues with my vehicle. Due to this unpleasant experience, I've decided to take my business (and my two cars) elsewhere. It's disappointing, as I had hoped for better service from Sun Auto.

Stay away! I was charged a diagnostic fee of $99.99 even though I paid over $230 for part of the repair. Poor communication and not upfront about the charges. This place used to be much better a few years ago. Never coming back again.

The gentleman at this location were very knowledgeable and took time to help me as a walk in. I really appreciate that they were not trying to push or up sale me additional services. I was given different options to consider in resolving my tire issue. I also appreciate that they provide military discounts for veterans.

These guys are great... Really good customer service , nice waiting room with plenty of comfy seating plus an adjoining kids play area that's closed off by glass wall and door. My oil change didn't take too long and they also give you a run down of your vehicles maintenance needs and NO pressure to buy immediately... Thank you so much, I will be back soon!

I had a great experience today at Sun Auto. I brought my truck in to have a tire replaced. This was the third shop I tried today. The other shops said it would take all afternoon into evening to change the tire, and in the worst case I would need to wait a few days. I needed the job done today, and Sun Auto got it done in time for me to pick up the truck and then pick up my kids from school.

My wife had an appt for a state inspection today. She arrived at the shop on the appt time. She was told by the receptionist that the guy went home. My wife said it would be nice if she had been informed about it before the appt time. The receptionist guy just shrugged it off. No apology. Instead, he asked for rescheduling. My wife was not interested. We added this business to our blacklist.

Really disappointed with this shop. I was there for an oil change and tire rotation, but they tried to upsell all kinds of services. I was told my tires were showing wear and the car needed an alignment. I knew that they did not even look at the tires as my tires were only 3 days old and had less than 100 miles in them. They also told me I needed a new battery, tune up, etc, etc, etc. I knew the information was suspect, so I took the car to my dealership. None of what they told me was correct. Never going back.

This place seems to always have issues. I have attempted to have auto work done several times and they have either giving me ridiculous prices or they say they are too busy. I wanted a vehicle inspection. It was 3:40 pm and they told me their technician was leaving at 5:00 pm, and he had two cars ahead of me. Now I am not a mechanic, but I think an hour and 20 minutes he could do 3 car inspections. I will never do busy with them again...or should I say attempt. I should have known there were problems. Every time I've went in they have different employees. Seems to be a lot of turnover.
