Folks, this is the most dishonest, fly by night "operation" I have ever had to deal with. Scenario: My "Check Engine" light came on so decided to use this local shop to diagnose the issue. In all fairness, I thought while I was there, I might as well have the oil changed, and tires rotated. Result: They had my pickup for 8 hours, and charged $647.50 in "Labor Only" to change oil, and rotate tires. $361.50 for materials/parts. I then inquired if they identified the check engine light and they replied yes. I need a new glow plug (Additional $277.50 for diagnosis only). I then asked, was it replaced, reply, no, and I would have to reschedule, which I will NEVER do. Injury to insult is I made a comment that this $1,038.39 invoice seemed high to me for what I really did not receive. The person in the back office over heard me and responded "Yes, but that's good for us" while laughing. In another instance, my Wife was concerned about "Squeaky" brakes. She drives a Porsche so no dealership in Bozeman, and these folks were recommended to her. $3,000.00 dollars later, the brakes squeak as bad as they ever did. Not fixed. I doubt they even replaced the parts at this point. When I mentioned this, the reply was "we only replace parts, we don't guarantee them". Even if not working? I moved to Bozeman in 1977 and have never had a worse experience with a shop. BEWARE. Hi again folks, See below.... Now I am "Bipolar" and "Dishonest". Far from the truth. They should be careful on the attempt at defamation. I was only narrating my awful experience. One question, and I will be done as this operation isn't worthy of more comment. Is my pickup repaired? Answer: No. Did I pay my bill? Answer: Yes.

GREAT PLACE. They have helped my son out in quick jams a couple of time now. He has two older vehicles there in Bozeman and BOTH went down last week. He had to have each of them towed to Straightway and Travis got one of them back next day for him. Love these Guys and the Service they provide.

These guys are Amazing and did an incredible job on wrx. I really appreciate having a good mechanic who knows how to work on a turbo car. Honest hard working mechanic who does a fantastic job and knows what there doing. Highly recommend using them for good quality repairs.

While the diagnosis was not what I was hoping for, Straightaway Motors was open and honest with me. They talked me through the diagnosis and gave honest opinions on the route to take with my car. My only gripe is that it took nearly two weeks to get the diagnosis, but it was obvious they were very busy by the amount of cars in their lot.

This shop took great care of my 1986 Corvette. A family heirloom that is irreplaceable for any amount of money to me. It had developed a major oil leak I could not diagnose or fix myself. Wonderful service that was fast, accurate and priced fair. I will never take a vehicle of mine anywhere else.

Took my 2013 f150 3.5 Ecoboost in for valve cover gasket, vacuum pump and seals. Gasket kit comes with 5 o ring seals and valve cover gasket. Mechanic didn't put any of the new o ring seals on and my spark plug tubes were FULL of oil when I went to change plugs. Took over 2 weeks to get it back in for warranty, which is absolutely ridiculous.Second time doing valve cover gasket and seals, now they only put 3/5 seals in. Front 2 VVT seals are leaking still. How dumb and lazy can you be? Missing several nuts for wiring harness and clips for vacuum pump are not put back where they go. Paid over $1500 for some flat rate mechanic to hurry up and try and fix his original mess. Not my problem your tech was lazy and didn't do his job the first time nor the second time!! This shop is pathetic and my family will never trust these shade tree mechanics again. It's pathetic that I have to go through and look to make sure things were done right. They didn't even bother to clean the old oil from the original valve cover leak. This shop sucks. Poor customer service and lazy mechanics who need to go back to school and learn what work ethic and responsibility means. 3 strikes your out. PATHETIC. Whoever worked on my truck is a moron and should be fired.

Travis took the time to discuss my issues. He checked out my car and tested to see for himself. He changed the transmission fluid and double checked for proper operation. Job was finished on time and I found the price very reasonable.

Worked with my nextdoor neighbor Mat Morgan when I told him about what Kia Billings found when my cruise control quit working. Took them an hour to diagnose the rabbit/rodent damage. Took them over 2 hours to repair, plus the 4 hour round trip. Mat told me Straightaway could handle it. Took it in a couple of weeks ago and Mat sent me pictures of the damage obviously the Kia Dealer didn’t protect the repair just wrapped the wire splice. The Straightaway order parts and worked me into the schedule a week later. Man I missed my cruise control over the last 4 1/2 months and over 3000 miles. Thank you Straightaway.

I was referred by another shop and my experience was nothing short of amazing. I made an appointment, I was able to drop my car off before work, and I got a call a few hours later that the work was done. They found some other issues with my car and when I got there, there were printed out quotes with each issue and a pricing breakdown for parts and labor. Mat and Travis were communicative over the phone at every step of the process, were patient and thorough with my questions, and gave me the best experience I’ve had at an auto shop. They needed to order some parts for the other repairs; when I offered to pay up front they declined and said to call when I was ready for the repairs, I could pay when the work was done. My new go-to shop for as long as I’m in Montana!!
