This shop was wonderful to me. The cable in my shifter broke while I was in a parking lot near by. They recommended P&J Towing which charged me only $75 which is a super reasonable price. Then they checked the car, zip ties my cable, wrote down the part number and printed out a diagram, told me to have the dealer check and send me back with a perfectly working car and charged me $0 since they didn’t have the cable in stock. Now that’s as honest as it gets.

My Ford SUV broke down on vacation. On my call Starlight said I didn't need an appointment and to bring it in (the Ford dealership was booked for at least 3 weeks). Yevin went out of his way to get answers to my questions and explained everything, the cost, and what they recommended. And they were the only place I found with Sat. hours in case my job couldn't get done that Fri. But the guys managed to get the repair done on the same day and I picked it up the following morning. I was stressed out not knowing how I'd get back home after vacation but they provided fast, fair, quick service around my timeline and I am very thankful. Great service and I highly recommend! Thanks guys!

I came in with nearly a flat tire (12psi). I said the main concern was to fix the flat and told the kid exactly where the air was leaking from twice (the valve stem). Next, my a/c was not working and I wanted them to see if they could find the problem. Third, for convenience, I asked for an oil change if there was time afterwards. He told me the oil would be about $90. I thought that was high, but the kid made a point about their business vs high volume places, so I just agreed thinking it would be good to support these guys. The oil change was done first. Later the kid said the freon was leaking from the valve and it would be about $350 to fix that day. I asked him about the charge for the tire and he forgot to tell the techs about it. He walked onto the shop floor for about 20 seconds and returned saying they could not fix that kind of tear bc they didn’t have the tools for it at that time. I didn’t fuss about that news.. I just politely declined in any further work on my vehicle and asked if they could just charge me for the oil change for that day. They returned my car to me and didn’t even at least fill my flat tire for me. I had a compressor in my car thankfully and I inflated my tire in a parking lot next door so I could go to another car shop.

I would NOT recommend Starlight Auto. Especially for AC problems Charged me $1300 ac repair. Still not working. Too many other qualified Garages in Sarasota to choose from. Save your money and frustration and go elsewhere.

Starlight Automative does great work, now I can’t say that enough, but what stands out to me is that they treat every customer with respect and they will inspect your car for free and give you their honest professional opinion and give you options without compelling you or using sales tactics to push you to work with them. I’m yet to meet an unhappy customer; I’m very pleased with the customer service experience, as well as the work they’ve performed on my cars. The owner is very knowledgeable and very kind. Took my car and the kid on the phone told me it was my ignition coils or spark plugs first he was gonna charge me for a pair then he calls me back and said all them needed to be changed and got charged 1k got back the car and same problem persisted took my car to another place and it was a total different problem it was my fuel tank that needed to be changed out so yeah this place straight robbed for sure happens alot I should of been smarter smh

I am a proponent of giving the small businesses the credit they deserve! In this day and age, finding an honest and reliable car care service provider can be very elusive and challenging to say the least. I was greeted with a friendly and enthusiastic hello from a tall young man. He quickly assisted me and determined the service and part I need could be obtained and performed quickly! The price for my part was very fair and competitive and it arrived quickly. They performed the service my car needed and applied the part even quicker! The work was not only professional, but also clean and precise!
