I found them when I was in a pinch. Wednesday before Thanksgiving. They took care of a decent sized job and they got me going the same day. The work was fair priced. I never felt they were trying to rip me off like so many other shops do. Would I recommend them to my friends and family, ABSOLUTELY!

I’ve brought my Honda to Starlight Automotive twice and I never regretted! Last year my AC has let me down in the middle of the summer heat. I drove to the large Honda dealership to replace the recalled AC part and to add fresh coolant. After waiting for hours, I was informed that the whole AC should be replaced for the special low price of $5000!!! Good Samaritans advised me to try smaller shop first, and I was referred to Starlight Automotive. I called, got appointment right away, waited for about 30 min while my car was handled by professionals, paid very reasonable fee for additional coolant and then drove away with perfectly functional AC. This year, my speedometer stopped working and the “EPS Problem!” message popped up. This is a tricky problem that may be caused by blown fuses, failed sensors, broken wires, etc...! Again, Starlight mechanics diligently searched for the source of the problem and repaired it for very reasonable price. My lesson is: park in the garage to avoid wire-hungry rodents and if s*** still happens, rely on Starlight Automotive, Sarasota!

We run box trucks in the area, and Starlight is our to-go place for any repairs. They can fit our trucks in bays at both locations, and there are knowledgeable both diesel and gas engine mechanics over here!
