I’ve been using this repair shop for at least 10 years now. I just had them give my daughter’s car a look over. They did a thorough inspection and found that her front brake pads and rotors needed replacing. They didn’t try to upsell and completed the job quickly and at a very reasonable price. I will be using them for as long as I am in Austin.

Southwest Automotive is keeping my Ford Explorer Sports Trac running for me. They found a brake fluid leak that could have caused a fire. I am beyond grateful. Austin did a great job on my Acura. The alternator went out, and he noticed that the battery cable got very hot - He kept it for an extra day to make sure after test drives and battery checks that there was no issue with the electrical. Most places would not go the extra mile here. Price was good and there were no extra costs after doing more work at the end. A++

Been doing business with these guys for well over 10 years. I am proud to know they are my "neighborhood" mechanic. I do a lot of basic repairs and maintenance myself. But when it comes to a tricky diagnosis, major work or big repairs, I trust Southwest Auto. Every time I go in, I see familiar faces and I've never been pressured into unnecessary work. I've even been referred to the dealer when a major (dealer-only) warranty or recall repair was needed. I trust the master mechanic's (Aaron) judgement and advice.

This shop and the staff is great! They won't sell you what you don't need. Austin prepared me for the worst, in terms of what parts might be needed. In the end, the additional parts weren't needed and they were honest about it. Highly recommend.

Recover, evacuate and recharged AC system on daughter’s Chevy Equinox. All done in little over 4 hours. Total cost was in line with estimate. Very happy with service. Didn’t miss Rick A bit😀. Just jabbing if Rick is out there. Austin was very helpful

Returning customer, always happy with the honesty and service here. Austin really took the extra time to explain their process, and recommendations on a potentially major issue, performed a test and additional deep dive inspection and vehicle health check. Austin and his team at Southwest Automotive are true Pros! They take the time to figure out exactly what is going on and then get the job done right. I made the mistake of taking my SUV to a friend’s shop only to have to take it to Southwest Automotive 2 days later because it broke down again. I won’ make that mistake again! Their top notch work and excellent customer service can’t be beat!
