I'm 70 years old and all the years that have have been purchasing vehicles ( Ford, Chevy, Toyota ) I have never owned a dodge Ram, but have to say I'm very impressed with the amenities and the sales person during my purchase on this vehicle ! I can truly say I have missed out on not owning A dodge Ram, the ride, the comfort, the power, the Style, very Happy with this truck. Above that the sales team person Miranda Malbrough was the best experience a person could have thru-out this purchase, Professional, Caring, Knowledgeable. Wow, no hype no pressure when you buy your vehicle, while this is true, what isn’t spoken about is their crappy service center where they do nothing to help their clients, in fact, what seems to happen is they look for reasons why their warranty shouldn’t cover something. So this is what happens, check engine light comes on, bring it to the service center and they ask, did anyone check the light yet, I said “no”, they take it in and says “it’s your air filter for now, warranty doesn’t cover this, so for now it’s $140 for us to check the light. This takes 30 seconds mind you. But the catch is, “ this is what the light is reading FOR NOW. Which tells me there’s another code or more that they’re not telling me about. So my aluminum rear wheel has a defective finish, guess what they’re telling me now. It’s the salt air causing that, warranty doesn’t cover this either. So I asked, if it’s the salt air causing the issue, why isn’t the other 5 wheels doing this, Sue, the girl at the service desk, couldn’t answer this question, so then I asked about my 36000 3 year warranty she said well you have to call Chrysler for that, I said why call them I’m talking to y’all, Sue’s exact words was, Sir we are not Chrysler, we are Southland Dodge Chrysler and we can’t help you with this. I will never ever buy another vehicle from this place. It’s a terrible thing I have to go out of town now for my Jeep because I don’t want to deal with this service again unless I have to.. I’m actually seriously thinking about going trade my ram 3500 Laramie for a Chevy, I’m done with this mess.

If I could give zero stars I would. Brought my Pacifica in 3 times for a clicking noise in the dash 3 times. A mechanic at another shop diagnosed the issue but having a warranty we went to where we bought the van. 3 times we were told the noise was normal. How a clicking noise in a new car was normal was beyond me. While on a trip to see our daughter the A/C went out, just as the first mechanic predicted. Thankfully the dodge dealer made time for us to fix the issue which was just what the initial mechanic said. This out of town dealer was so nice and kind. When we called southland to get the phone number for our extended warrenty Sue did not return our call. Do not buy anything from this dealer only worried about making the sale and nothing else.

Dropped my car off to get my rims painted from curb damage(which I had since I purchased the car)just to pick it up with a broken windshield .Never again. No longer dealing with Southland dodge. Trust has been broken after purchasing my 3rd car from them. They said they didn't do it but it wasn't there when I dropped it off this morning.

If you’re expecting a place with great southern hospitality, turn around and do not go here. if you’re getting regular maintenance on your vehicle, they treat you like scum of the earth. The associate which I always bring the problems of my car for the past couple years has constantly been rude, made faces at me when I say they messed something up, and immediately when you walk out the door they start talking about how you’re a liar. The cashier, parts, and most of the mechanics are really nice, but specifically the people in the front at the computers shouldn’t be working anywhere with their terrible customer service skills. McDonald’s workers have better hospitality. I wouldn’t say don’t go here, but definitely do not come here for service after you buy a vehicle or you’ll leave mad enough to write a whole paragraph google review.

Absolutely the biggest let down with a dealer. From management ,to service , I had multiple horrible experiences. When I called corporate Dodge, they told me southland is an independent franchise and they cannot make them fix their mistakes, or communicate with you. Dean in service, I'm talking about you. Joe in finance, (who hit my car while I'm for service)? I'm talking about you. Whoever is in charge you are the reason this dealer gives you that dirty sheet feeling like a one star motel 6 bed sheet. If anybody has any problem with what I have to say , please contact me and I have evidence and proof of everything. I dare anyone in Southland Dodge to contact me for slander. I will never purchase a vehicle here. Have one purchased or recommend this place again. A quick search will reveal other people dealing with this stealership. When re-assembling my vehicle, parts were left out and when confronted all of a sudden , they didn't want to fix their shoddy work and claimed they couldn't make me happy. Avoid. There is a dodge dealer in Berwick and 4 in New Orleans that will give you much better service. Shot out to AJ, and Ray Brandt , and Premier Dodge.

Just purchased a BRAND NEW 2023 WAGONEER with my favorite salesman ever MR JESSIE THOMPSON!!!! The process was a breeze we ordered the SUV and it came in quicker the time frame predicted. I can’t compliment Mr. Jessie enough he is ALWAYS FANTASTIC to work with and is very accommodating to our wants and needs in our vehicle. My husband and I have purchased 2 trucks, from here at Southland Dodge Houma. I have nothing but good to say about this dealership and Mr. Jessie Thompson to us, is THE BEST! He was very kind and did his very best to help us not only get what we were praying for, but even BETTER! At a great price! I would purchase in the future as needed from here, but Mr. Jessie will be the ONLY one I purchase it from. To work out the details. Hes real, genuine and will do you RIGHT! The employees running the service center at the Houma center is absolutely terrible. I’ve never met so rude and sarcastic representatives in my life. We will make sure to keep this in mind next time we decide to shop for a new vehicle!

I am also a service advisor for another shop- I have to send cars to the dealer all the time. I have never had a worst experience with a service advisor than Mrs. June D-she is really just a bully and it's as simple as that. She will do whatever repair she wants and then demand payment for those repairs- and keep the vehicle until she receives payment for things you never wanted. I know other service advisors receive commission, but her behavior was completely unprofessional and unkind. I will never recommend or use this dealer again. Frankly, it's made me want to stay away from the whole city all together if this is how they treat people. They put in their emails and on the bottom of invoices, "IF FOR ANY REASON YOU ARE NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED, PLEASE CONTACT OUR SERVICE MANAGER." So, I called and asked to speak to the service manager and was sent to his voicemail. I have not received a call back yet and I sure am not expecting one seeing how the experience has gone thus far. If you break down in Thibodaux I highly recommend paying way too much money to get the vehicle ANYWHERE ELSE.

IF I COULD LEAVE 5 0'S I WOULD. Horrific and worst car buying experience of my life. Attempted to purchase a Dodge Durango 2021 Hellcat and was working the deal with Ashley "sales person" and they sold the car from underneath me without any notice. Owner of dealership asked for a $50,000 deposit which is unheard of in the car buying industry. I high recommend to learn from these comments and never work with shady dealerships that are looking to screw the customer. Also when attempting to talk to the General Manager they refused to put him on the phone. Very cowardly. They also wanted all long distance deals to be done in person, requiring airfare to fly down if you were not a local buyer & wanted all money wired prior to arrival. I hope someone learns from this thats taking the time to read this. I am truly disgusted and most unprofessional experience.

If I could leave zero stars I would. We have bought 3 vehicles from the dealership in the passed 3 years. 1 vehicle I didn’t buy from them needs warranty service and they out right refused. The vehicle has 3500 miles on it because it was not purchased from them. I understand taking care of their customers first, not out right telling me no for warranty?

Service rep wanted me to make an appointment 2 weeks out for my A/c that wasn't blowing at all in the middle of June! One coworker asked another "how was your day?" The coworker replied "I showed up" SMH. I was a loyal customer, but nor anymore! Called the Thibodaux location and was there the next morning. The problem was fixed without 45 minutes!

Todd is passive aggressive and haughty. I have been going there for years for oil changes and routine maintenance on my car and I have never been treated so badly. This service advisor Todd was so rude that I will not be returning to southland dodge for anything. There are too many other places of business I can go to that provide the same service. Todd’s severe case of little man syndrome and condescending attitude is the reason I will no longer be a loyal customer. They make a commission so if you do go there and Todd is rude just ask for a different service advisor.

took my Ram 3500 for engine light came on. They told me that it was an issue with DEF system. So I had them changed the two parts The next day the check engine light came back on. This time they told me that they need to burn out the Corbin in it. About two weeks later the light came back on. Now it was one of the sensors on it. Around $7,000 later I don’t feel they are properly troubleshooting, just changing parts at my expense.

I spoke with a sales person and agreed upon a price for a 2014 ram 3500. It was a 6hr one way trip to purchase this vehicle. I paid a $500 deposit and talked to the sales person before I started the trip. I'm from Birmingham, AL so when I get 30 minutes 4 hrs into this trip the sales manager (Rudy) decided to sell the truck to another customer because he was willing to pay more money (more commission for Rudy). So if you from out of town be warned that money is the name of the game with this bunch. That's gas money and time I can't get back because of greed.

The salesman Kevin Barrow did an excellent job,very helpful. He returned our calls in a timely manner. Don't expect any type of courtesy from some members of the finance department.
