Scammers. Steer clear! Horrible phone skills. 1 star customer service. Tire leaked for 1 month after they supposedly plugged a hole, but they charged me again, even though they likely did not plug the hole at the first visit.

Never going back. $160 for oil change, tires rotated and fluids topped off. Was told it’ll be 25 minutes, had to call 4 hours later for an update. Person who checked me out, wasn’t sure if they even rotated my tires, but managed to give me a quote for $700 to get my front breaks changed. Save yourself some time, crew had no idea what was going on.

Troy and company have provided exemplary service and have been trusted with my family's vehicles for over 30 years. Taking your vehicle anywhere else defies common sense and logic so why waste your time and hard earned money for shody service elsewhere.

We took our car here to Southern Tire to fix our business vehicle and after $1,000 of work it had to be brought back twice. After the third time it still had issues so we took elsewhere.

1/2 a star needed a tire fixed on my trailer tire they wouldn't help. I had to drive a flat tire up the road to get it fixed.

BEST OF THE BEST place to go!! Went to southern in the 70s and 80s, all our tires came from them. They were the place to go back then, probably still is. Great service, best tires, best prices. I remember them being on florida ave, but not sure. Richard Gilkison worked there, a Ken to my father, Charles Gilkison, the son of Ed Gilkison, that sold cars there at brooks Massey dodge in tampa. I am so glad I found this place! Very professional, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The manager Jamel (sp?) came through when I needed to replace my flat tire. I originally went to Toyota Tampa Bay yesterday where I purchased my vehicle but they wasted my time AND wanted to charge me double. I called Southern Tire Co. and Jamel told me I could drop off my tire and they’ll have an even better brand tire for me today. Seamless and you don’t feel like you’re taken advantaged at all. As a woman who doesn’t know cars well, I feel confident I can take my car here.

I needed 4 tires badly. Dad, brother telling me to get in ASAP no more tread. I am a Costco member so thought about there but then I saw they needed to ship them in and there was no road hazard coverage choice. I remembered that my Moms group as well as a close friend recommended Southern Tire so I decided to reach out. I was able to get in same day. Friendly service throughout. There was absolutely no high pressure and I was given more than one option. I was able to pick a great tire, alignment, and road hazard. I feel safe again on the road and this is now my go to service shop.

Pat is the mechanic there and he’s done wonders to the blower motor in my truck. Jamel and Tim always makes sure everything is flawless. My favorite thing is that the owner doesn’t push sales. No one ever tries to sell you something unless you really do need it. This is the best tire shop in Tampa.

Terrific! Jamel got me a quote, found it better than all the rest I researched. They did an excellent job and the customer service was excellent! Jamel told me when the vehicle would be done and it was. Only warning; they are busy so plan ahead. They are honest about time lines. Told me around lunch time and the car was available at 1pm.

Tim, Jamel and team..just fabulous!! The tires that were recommended were not in stock for my truck but I came back for a wheel alignment cause these guys are genuine. Always will be customer. Great service and brutally honest recommendations. Thank you guys!!

Called all over town for tires to fit my Charger 392. This place gave me the best information and the best prices. They accommodated my need to get it done the next day. Took two hours as expected and everything was done well. Knowledge, prices, and friendly people are a nice change. They know their business..Good places to eat across the street also.

I use to recommend stc. They took 8 hours to put a patch on my tire, couldn’t find the lugnut key I had to get a ride there to find it for them ( right where I said it was located). 6/24/22 I see under all your reviews you aren’t really taking responsibility. It is nice to see you respond to reviews but no you did not warn me it would take an usually long time when I dropped it off. After lunch would have been nice like 12:30 -1 but it was 4:30 when you called and said it was ready. What you didn’t mention when I dropped it off is the fact you had cars from the day before to still work on, which I was told when I had to find the lugnut.

Jamel is amazing! My wife’s Model X was in need of some new tires. Jamel found us a great tire and reasonable price. Everything was communicated over the phone or text and when the day came for installation their key drop was very convenient. The car was completed when promised and the tires look great.

Just moved to Florida, and had someone recommend me to this place. My car was making a funny noise and they did a thorough check and fit me in despite how busy they were. They even stayed late after close to finish up my repairs. Amazing customer service. I will be coming here for all my car service needs from here on out.

Sitting in traffic and just witnessed a young man here helping an elderly lady put her walker in the back seat and guiding her to the driver's seat. The smile on her face truly showed how much she appreciated the assistance! We also go here for service and it's always great!

Southern Tire Company came to the rescue for us yet again! I took my truck into a dealership and figured I'd get an oil change and have them check my brakes. I was told by the dealership that my breaks had 5mm left and were fine for the moment. Less than a month later, my brakes started to make a grinding sound. After contacting the dealership to question why my breaks are grinding, I was told to bring it back in. At this point, I did not feel comfortable taking my vehicle the dealership. I have had several previous positive experiences with Southern Tire, so I decided to bring my vehicle to them. Even though they were extremely busy, Tim took me in and got me set up for an inspection on my vehicle. A short time later, Tim called me and informed me that my truck rotors and pads were worn down metal to metal. I let Tim know what the dealership previously told me, and he replied that there is no way I could go through 5 mm of pads in less than a month. Southern Tire did a fantastic job of installing new rotors and new pads on my truck. When I picked up my vehicle, Elio (the mechanic that worked on my car) stated that he could not believe the condition of my old rotors and pads. Elio also reiterated that there is no way my truck could have torn through 5 mm of brake pads in such a short time. We all feel that the dealership did not do their due diligence in their inspection of my brakes, which in turn resulted in a much more involved repair. I am always astounded with the expertise and professionalism of Southern Tire, and am confident that Southern Tire does fantastic, honest work with reasonable prices. A gigantic thank you to Jamel, Tim, and Elio, for all your help in getting my truck safely back on the road.
