I never write reviews but my experience was so horrible, people need to know about this guy. He kept my car for days longer than quoted. It would have been weeks as he only completed about 30% of the work quoted. Now I have to take my car somewhere else to finish what he should have done. On top of that, part of my roof rack fell off on the highway the day after I picked up my car. I called, sent pictures, and he ignored me reaching out. He refuses to fix the issues with my roof and prefers I take him to small claims court. I should have listened to the poor reviews prior to mine. Save yourself the headaches, stress, and disappointment. Take your car anywhere else.

Our car has been there 11 weeks and this dude has every excuse but a real answer never use this guy's business he is totally under maned and he doesn't tell the truth big problem we haven't had a rental car for 5 weeks and his excuse is he can't get the parts !!! REALLY .... horrible service and we have to call him he don't call and tell you nothing ! There are alot of other body shops but we have used him a couple times never a problem like this . Jam your excuses where the sun don't shine dude God is watching you !

Please do not take your car here. My car was sitting in this shop for over 6 months and when I asked why it was taking so long he said “ I am the only one working here don’t feel bad the other cars have been here for way longer “ I finally got my car back and it had no oil no gas even though I brought it in with a full tank. Dale has no customer service. Also the car doesn’t start so I will have to bring it to a different shop that can actually fix cars. THIS IS A WARNING DO NOT USE THIS SHOP

This place is a joke, do not take your car here unless you want your car sitting there for more than 4 months and mediocre labor, my car leaks inside every time it rains. Had to bring car multiple times, they didn't tint windows right color, forgot little window, left screws inside Pilars, car makes screws rolling noises. Please do yourself a favor and take it to a car dealership body shop not here.

I was charged a premium and lied to. Started with a 5 star review, but boy was I fooled. I waited over a month to post this hoping I would have a different opinion, but here it is. I worked in auto parts sales and they were one of my customers. I initially had them marked as an honest, family run business. Family run is the best I can give them at this point. I selected them because I wanted to support a good business (not get a discount, special deal or kickback....)...HUGE mistake. They kept my car for 3 MONTHS and lied consistently about what was going on. There was always some excuse...short staffed, holidays, couldn't get parts, paint wouldn't set etc etc. On two separate occasions they gave me a completion date for my car and when I arrived, it hadn't even been started. Finally, I got my car, and the paint was bad on the rocker panel, the front quarter panel was not lined up correctly, the hood was off and there was a tare in my back seat. I thought I could live with that and left just thankful to have my car because I had been RENTING A CAR FOR TWO MONTHS and I was out of money. As I drove off, I immediately noticed that all of the dash lights were on and my air conditioning didn't work and called the shop back. They told me to bring it back and they would "look at it". I finally was able to bring it back to them and if sat for days without being looked at. After a couple of phone conversations, I finally had enough and booked a time with a local mechanic to fix the issue. When we put the car on the lift, I was amazed. The work that I had paid $2200 for was not only of poor quality, but incomplete. I was charged, but lied to. The entire skid plate was not there (paid for) and the wires that run on the skid plate were cut and the ambient temperature sensor was missing from the radiator support, which was improperly installed. Every corner that could be cut was cut. Every sneaky move they thought they could get away with because I can't crawl under my car anymore (I am recently handicapped) was tried. To recap, 3 months my car was gone, I paid more in car rental than I did to have my car repaired, they lied for three months straight with a smile on their face, the quality of the work was poor at best, they wouldn't fix the issues that they caused, and I finally had to pay more out of my pocket to have someone fix their shoddy work. Hands down the single worst auto body experience I have ever seen (let alone have had personally) and I had the privilege to service 160+ automotive shops in Sarasota county week in and week out for two years...

I was quoted 4200$ to fix a few things on my Audi A4 after I crashed it. I went to another mechanic after he “repairs” my car and i was told I got ripped off. Some of the parts that were “changed” were never changed and I was left with broken parts on my car, the worse service I have ever experienced in my life, hands down. It also took 51 days when I was told it would take 14 days at the longest. Highly recommend you go anywhere but here unless your into throwing away money.

Dale and his crew repaired the damage to my Honda CR-V after an accident. The work looks great. I do believe I was a pain in the butt customer (I didn’t mean to be ) , however, Dale was patient and very sweet. :)

The side of my high end car was recently damaged while parked. I wanted it restored to "like new" condition, and I brought it to South Trail Auto Body because of their uniformly 5-star reviews. I was not disappointed! Dale, the owner, and his technicians are highly skilled and experienced craftsmen. In a matter of days, they made the car look like it was never damaged, even though it has a difficult-to-match paint job. In addition, they are very customer-oriented. Dale insisted on driving me home, rather than having me use Uber. He called me during the repair period to let me know the work was going smoothly. All this was done at a very fair price.

I have dealt with many repair facilities and body shops over the years both for repair work as well as custom work. I would rate Southtrail 5 stars not only for the quality of work they perform but also for working with the customer. They did a great job on my vehicle, couldn't tell it had been in an accident. Paint match was perfect, body work was outstanding. They pay attention to detail and take pride in the job they do and it shows. Totally happy on this end. High recommendation.
