have serious concerns about the authenticity of some of these reviews. My experience with George was disappointing. He displayed rudeness and a lack of accountability for his mistakes. During the visit, he misdiagnosed my car issues and, when I pointed out the error, he casually dismissed it, stating he wouldn’t issue a refund because he didn’t work for free. Additionally, he failed to perform a thorough inspection; the clicking sound from my tire was due to a screw lodged in it, but he mistakenly attributed the issue to my hubcaps. When I sought clarification, he stated, 'I'm not a tire guy,' and unfortunately resorted to cursing, claiming I was wasting his time. Overall, this experience was frustrating and unprofessional

George took great care of me. My car had a flat tire due too five star tire shop strip my lug nug so it was hell to off they send to me him after they didn’t wanna do the job that’s where they send all there customers when they f”’ up your car.. so don’t go to there tire shop they are useless, the really did me a favor because George are amazing he went straight to the problem he so patience with me so if ever need to good mechanics to George he won’t let you down …

George was great. My car’s check engine light and hill start assist light came on and he helped clean my corroded car battery terminals which was suspected to cause the issue. He even gave me a free diagnostic. Thanks George!

If you are trying to find a mechanic that won’t rip you off TRUST ME. Go to this guy. George such an honest man! he helped me out. Not only i got the problem fixed but i got out of there learning something new he taught me how to fix my problem. I appreciate people like him. Highly recommend that place.

George took great care of me. My car broke down on the highway because the alternator went out. I searched Google maps for the nearest mechanic and his shop popped up. Got a quote from him and had my vehicle towed to his shop. George is very fair priced, professional, thorough and transparent. My vehicle is running like brand new!! A new alternator gives it so much more power! He also checked the work his guys did, even took it for a test drive with me when I arrived to pick it up. I live an hour and 20 minutes away but I would still take my vehicle to him if I need a mechanic again. I highly recommend!

My husband had a code that popped up on his dash randomly he called around to a bunch of mechanic shops and they gave him the run around after a while he found George and took the car to him immediately he found the problem and fixed it free of charge nice to find mechanics like him

De regreso a mi casa se me daño una llanta y no traía suficiente dinero para cambiarla y acá se ajustaron a mi presupuesto y me cambiaron mi llanta dañada por una en muy buen estado. Además ofrecen muchos servicios más con rapidez y eficiencia. El servicio costaba $60 y mi presupuesto era de $25.

These guys are amazing! My tire blew out on Gulf freeway and I didn't have a spare, got it towed to the shop late in the evening. They stayed open several hours late for me to swap it out for an exceptionally good price. Friendly, fun, caring people, and some lovely dogs too in case you need emotional support.

This shop is a rarity. I found this shop online and needed to get a bolt replaced in my shock while dropping off a client. It was 7:00pm when I pulled in. George and his crew took the time to look at my car and get this: He told me since I just had my shocks replaced, to take it back to the shop that did the repairs. He said he was willing to do a temporary repair so I could get it back to them, and he didn’t try to sell me on his shop doing the repairs. I immediately told him to do the repairs. It was well after closing and his crew is top notch and they got me back on the road. I gave him my card to charge and ask me how much did I want to bless the house? I told him, I didn’t care because I stopped at other shops and they were ready to go home and didn’t try to help me, even after I said I was willing to pay more and they refused to try to help me. So, I told him I didn’t care what he charge, just swipe whatever he wants for the job. He then asked his mechanic that did the work and he told me $70 dollars. And it was done. Top Notch and these guys are not desperate for money, unlike like many shops in Houston. I live an hour away, but I will pay towing for an hour ride to take my whips to them. SMG Auto is an Elite Mechanic Shop with real mechanics and the atmosphere is family like. Top Notch. I won’t ever take my cars anywhere else. The truth.

Most importantly was that you refused payment because you said you didn’t have to take anything apart and that you only added the fluid needed. I’m not from Houston but I was visiting my grandma when my car broke down. George made sure to be there when my car got towed to the shop even though it was after hours. He treated me and my mom with respect and fixed the problem pretty quick and at a very fair price. George stayed in contact and made sure me and my mom understood what repairs needed to be made. I appreciate the work he did and would recommend this business to others 😁

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to have found SMG Auto Service. My car was struggling these past few days with poor acceleration, and rough idling so I was in dire need of a mechanic especially after not having luck with others. I googled mechanics in my area and came across SMG. Their amazing reviews drove me to visit them which I am so glad I did. George and his crew were a godsend! What I thought was just going to be a diagnostic visit turned into to George figuring out the root of my problem and fixing it right then and there. The knowledge and honesty that George reflects are key character traits that I look for in a mechanic. I needed a place to get my inspection sticker done after I got off work. SMG Auto Service was the only place open until 7:30PM. George took Great Care of me and even stayed open a little later so I could get my inspection done. Great Customer Service!! I will be back!!
