I found Seymour’s garage through a Google search after being shocked at a price I was quoted by the dealership for repairs. I had always used the dealership thinking I received an accurate diagnosis and quality work. I was wrong. By taking my vehicle to Seymour’s, they saved me money on a part replacement that wasn’t even needed. Since then, I’ve taken my other vehicle there for a maintenance checkup and repair. I will continue to get all repairs done by Seymour’s. I’ve dealt with both Matthew and Joe. Both were polite and honest when discussing my vehicles. Seymour’s now has my business!

Had a problem with '09 Chevy Silverado 1500 4 speed. June 2021 Northside Chevrolet, post engine oil change service, recommended a Transmission flush. Later when checked there were tiny bits of crud in the fluid pan. Since, learned that this is not a flush, but an oil change issue. On the day I was in a hurry so let them flush. (BTW With all dealer service I should long have been notified of the need for a transmission oil change). Contacted Seymour to see about a rebuilt trans if mine failed, expert knowledge etc, they reassured, and gave me a great quote. Just for certain though, did an oil/filter change myself, and found the real cause of all the problems I had been dealing with. The transmission oil filter, 15 years in the pan... lol, was full of crap. That explains why, after the '21 flush, we had to remove nearly a pint of fluid to get near normal performance, i.e smooth shifting because with the full 5 quarts it was very rough! -- Lesson - as it says in Haynes repair manual, go by the level shown on the dip stick NOT the number of quarts in the owner hand book. In my case with a new filter it needs 4 quarts plus 1 and 3/4 pints, any more causes rough shifting -- ! On a visit to their garage Seymour stopped me worrying about my transmission because, as they mentioned, it is working ok right now. But they do such a good job, when I do need to replace my transmission I will bring it there.

I spoke with Matthew and his clear, professional communication was always appreciated. The service I needed was somewhat extensive and not real light on the budget, but I needed it to be done. My only ‘ding’ was the twice adjusted completion time. At the end, my vehicle was at the shop for over a week. There may have been some supply chain issues, but it was a little frustrating being told, “not today” twice on my vehicle pick-up when I was expecting it. I realize some things were out of their hands, but it would have been better to under promise and over deliver if it all got wrapped sooner than forecasted, versus relaying, “not today, maybe tomorrow..’ Bottomine: Great shop. I will use them again 100%. Ask for Matthew he is very professional.

Used Seymour’s garage for some repairs per the recommendation of my buddy who raved about the service. 10/10 recommend. Very communicative throughout the whole process. Shocked about the turn around time for my ford. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend Seymour Garage! My car had been at the dealership 3x for a course of 60 days and they still couldn’t fix/find the issue. I took it to Seymour, it was found within 45 minutes and I was out within an hour! Will recommend to all my family and friends! :-)

After a month sitting at the lot of of our dealer with no work done and an obnoxiously high quote, I picked up my car, covered in dust and still not repaired. I had a hard time finding someone to fix my oil leak. Seymour’s had the man power and took care of the problem at a much better price than the dealer had quoted. Communication was great with Matthew answering all questions and calls, and they even delivered my clean and repaired car to my home which was really appreciated.

This was the second time I’ve used Seymour’s Garage for a pretty big repair job. Mathew and the fellas treated me right for the minute you walk in the door. Everyone that I dealt with was so professional. The place is clean and the mechanics even have their shirts tucked in! They picked up my vehicle and got to work on it quickly. They stayed in constant communication with me on recommendations for repairs and the cost. Once they secured the parts, they did a complete transmission swap in one day! My truck is back in business thanks to the staff at Seymour’s. I will tell everyone I know to use these guys if they have automotive problems. This shop is top notch. Thanks! Will Gilliam

Seymour’s Garage was simply the very best experience I have ever had with regard to customer service, honest business and very effective work in a more than reasonable amount of time. I had to take my car there when the garage I normally go to missed an issue that caused a worse issue, and they simply stepped in and took care of it. I will never go anywhere else. Matthew Colaw and his team of professional mechanics have never failed us. We were having a problem with our BMW window after a minor accident. The body shop brought in a third party diagnostic company that tried for over a week to solve it. I convinced the manager at the body shop to let me get the car with the completed body work so I could take it the our "GO TO" mechanics. Seymour's got it done! and it was under $300 to fix it. Whether you need just an oil change (We saved over $250 on our Range Rover Oil Changes) or a complicated software problem on your luxury auto, Seymour's is the place. They are our trusted auto repair shop. Thanks again Matthew!

Way too expensive. I went there for an oil change but my vehicle system still asks me to change oil. I paid over $130 JUST for the oil change. I am really dissatisfied. I do not recommend this facility.

Took my commuter 01 toyota sienna in because engine was misfiring. Matthew was very personable and took down my contact info. They took the time to trouble shoot several times to diagnose and repair the issue. It's been 3 weeks and engine is running smoothly. While I wouldn't get oil changed ( kinda pricey) there, I'd definitely take my car back for serious issues. They even sent me a card thanking me for my business with a magnet.

I can’t speak more highly of this family owned business and their staff. I had taken my 2012 Honda to a friend for years and when I needed to find a new mechanic, Seymour’s Garage had great reviews and I’m glad I took my car there. One of the owner’s, Matt was my point of contact from the beginning and was great the whole time and was very straightforward and honest. He took time to explain things and educate me. The whole staff was friendly, they had shuttle service and quickly completed my repairs. Definitely will be a returning customer!
