Believe me when I tell you I’d rather go upside down and finance a brand new car to replace a broken one, than ever bring a car to this service department ever again. Here’s what happened. I had a suspected fuel injector go bad so I attempted to fix it myself. Didn’t turn out well so I had it brought in. I thought, who better to repair a GM vehicle than a GM dealership, right? WRONG! Since my car was there I’ve gotten nothing but grief. First, they called me (shocker; I’ll get to that soon enough) telling me it’s gonna cost 1.5k to put the thing back together. Whatever, I messed it up, my mistake. Took a little while which was understandable because they had to order parts. On March 12th was the last service related phone call I received (this iteration). When I brought it in, it came with all parts, clamps, nuts, bolts, the part I ordered, etc. Checked, double checked, triple checked, then checked again by a friend. They called me saying I don’t provide a certain piece and that I had to order a new turbo in order to get that piece. So I start scrambling, looking online for 2-3 days, start spending even more money to replace the part that they lost. I’m calling them to get more info. Nothing back. Leave messages. Nothing back. Even call the big big boss of the service department, Terry Bluford, and leave him a message. Nothing back. I cannot get a hold of these people to get an update on my vehicle. So I walk in on March 14th, new parts in hand, and I get told, “oh we found an extra part, we got it figured out.” Now I’m blood red mad. That is why I tried to call. It would have been nice to know before I spent extra money on more stuff I didn’t need because they don’t know how to pick up a phone to return a call, or give an update. Finally got it back on March 20th and they purged me. Paid 3.1k to get a 2 injectors and coils replaced and received worse anxiety on top of it. I drive it for a month, same problem. I brought it back in because even the most grimy shops will fix what they didn't the first time with little to no cost. Well this shop is less than grimy. I dropped it back off on April 23rd. I move across the country very soon, May 16th. These people let it sit in the lot for almost 2 weeks. No phone call, no updates per usual. They don't get to it until my wife comes in and explains to them Barney style that WE ARE LEAVING. They finally start diagnosing it and again, they want me to buy a turbo AGAIN. I don't have a choice and I need my car and I'm desperate so I do it. Spend another 2.7k. Get the car back on May 10th and drive it over the weekend, nothing crazy, SAME PROBLEM. Now this is personal. You have scammed me 6 thousand dollars. You have provided a faulty product. You have not followed through on your end. You fail to communicate with customers. I am now 3 days away from driving my family across the country and you have put them in harms way and taken food off their table. Southwest GMC, you will be seeing tons from me. You will be held accountable. This is outrageous. This place is not a suitable business. Typical for Lawton I suppose, but for normal folk who come from places that is not this God forsaken poor excuse of a town, an absolute and epic failure. You all should be ashamed of yourself.
