I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I have received at your Jet Black Tint location in San Francisco. The series of issues I've encountered has left me both frustrated and deeply concerned about the practices at this location. I have had to make six separate trips to address issues with the tint on my 2021 BMW 850. Four of these visits were for redoing unsatisfactory work, while two were wasted due to miscommunication and improper scheduling by your staff. On January 10, 2025, during my fourth visit, I was shocked to discover significant damage to my vehicle upon inspecting the work. The leather panel on the passenger side was stripped down to the canvas, completely removing the leather. To my dismay, no one informed me of the damage. Instead, I was told, "Your vehicle is ready." When I requested to inspect the car in natural light, prior to my departure I discovered the issue and brought it to the attention of your staff. Upon addressing the damages, the service worker admitted, "Yeah, when I was wiping it, it just started coming off. I don't know what happened, but maybe it was the chemicals. I told my supervisor what happened when it happened." Despite this acknowledgment, no one took responsibility or informed me of the damage until I noticed it myself, which is entirely unprofessional and unacceptable. I took pictures of poor workmanship on the rear window tint, which remains incomplete and unsatisfactory. I have scheduled an appointment with BMW to assess the damage to my vehicle and will provide you with a detailed quote for the necessary repairs. As it was already brought to my attention that your company is taking full responsibility for the damages and will cover the cost of repairs. Please acknowledge receipt of this email and provide me with a clear path toward resolving this matter. I trust that you will treat this issue with the urgency it deserves. The worst experience ever, i went there to take the offer full window tainted with 99$ but when i arrived by the wanted to rob me and asked for extra money and tried to explain to me that the offer just cover few windows.

Worst experience ever! Took my car in that I had just purchased off the lot to get my windows tinted. After they were done there was a tear damage inside the car. I was told to come back when they get surveillance footage of them working on my car to prove the damage wasn't done there. They said they would contact me once they got the footage. A week goes by and I reach out to them telling me they cant get the footage or anything for me. If I hadn't have reached out I would never get an answer after they told me they would get back to me with next steps. I then tried to be in contact with their main office which was a nightmare. We went back and fourth, did not receive a full answer until a month later saying that since I left the lot there is nothing else I can do. I also have bubbles on all the windows that I am afraid to bring back to fix cause there might be more damages I have to deal with caused by this shop. There are way better tint shops out there. I Wouldn't come back even if they applied tint for free. What an unethical and deceiving company. STAY AWAY!

I had window tinting done on my car here about 7-8 months ago. When they first did it, there were bubbles left. When I asked, they said it would go away in a few days, but the bubbles are still there. I am not satisfied.

Read if you want an honest review: air bubbles and DAMAGES. Pro tip: They will deny any damages and claim they were there before. No sense of accountability. Take interior/exterior videos of your car before coming here, or best, don't come here! Don’t take the chance of thinking it won’t happen to you because I promise they will deny fault. I took my car to get tinted in their San Ramon location with Mateo which went fine. Nice guy, good customer service BUT there were air bubbles on almost every window. I'm posting the worst ones. It's almost as if they expect air bubbles to happen at least 80% of the time. Mateo reiterated there is warranty so bring it back if you do have bubbles that haven't gone away. But this is just so inconvenient for customers. Why not get it done right the first time? So I brought it to the SF location with Farris to get it repaired since I'm no longer in San Ramon. Appointment for 10:30am and Farris told me he would have to replace all the rear windows and wouldn't be done until 5pm.. Around 1:30pm, I called them to get a better estimated time of completion and they actually said it was ready. Were they ever going to call me and let me know that if I hadn't called them? By the way, when you call, it goes to a third-party call center, not the store. Person on the phone had to get my information, call Farris, then get back to me to tell me it was actually ready to be picked up. At least I didn't wait until 5pm to call.. Now, the WORST part are the damages to my steering wheel. Whoever drove my car into their garage (I parked it in the driveway when I left), must've had something sharp on their gloves or hands, and scratched the leather. I felt the scratches immediately when backing my car out of their garage. You can tell all other areas on the wheel are butter smooth. Even the leather is coming off on my hands. I am expecting compensation so I plan to see this through and file a formal complaint. Will they say these scratches were there before and deny it like they have with other customers? Probably. If the scratches are old, would the leather be coming off immediately like that? So yes, you get tinted windows for a decent price but with that comes with inconvenience and potential damages to your car as it did with mine. Also they only replaced the worst tints, so this means my driver and passenger windows with some air bubbles weren't repaired. Their tints aren't seamless. It's a half-assed job. Honestly, I am really disappointed because our experience with Mateo in San Ramon was decent but air bubbles on almost every window then lack of accountability from Farris and rest of Jet Black turned that around quick. Bluntly, I would not recommend this to a friend or family member especially since you can find similar prices elsewhere.

Had a good experience getting my C300 tinted here. Made an appt for 4pm on a Tues and was in and out in under two hours. I had been initially drawn in by the $99 promotion but in speaking with them, opted to upgrade for the ceramic tint. Glad I made that call as it definitely has a more legit/OEM look to it. One thing to keep in mind is the curing process. The manager mentioned not to roll down the windows for 3-5 days which I listened to and on day 6 I noticed there were a couple of small air bubbles. I was about to head back for a re-do but checked online and read that sometimes the curing process can take a bit longer if it’s a cooler climate. Sure enough the bubbles were gone a couple of days later. Happy with the end results.

Had to take my car back because they did a poor job on the tint the first time. There were lots of little bubbles on the front passenger windows. When I came back to pick up my car I couldn’t start my car because the workers had left my car on, killing my battery. I had to get my car towed to the service center because of it. Do not come here. Negligent and bad work.

Got my Infinite G37 tinted here. The car’s window automatically rolls down slightly when the door is opened, which messed up the tint and made it peel. I returned, and they replaced the tints for free under the lifetime warranty, even though it wasn’t their fault. They fixed it by making the tint longer so the tint doesn’t get caught when the window rolls down. Besides that, the customer service is top notch. The price point is fair since you’re paying for both the tint and warranty.

Worst tint job I’ve ever had done. I was quoted $199 over the phone and charged $271 in store which is fine because I don’t mind paying for a job done right but this is not the case. Almost every window has hair and lint in between the film and the glass, it looks like it was done by an amateur and now I will have to “bring it back” for another 8 hours? I would rather pay another shop to clean up your mistakes than come back and give you more of my time.
