David and Oscar were amazing. Super educating and real about what was wrong. They got my car back fast just when they said it would be done. David was super honest about pricing and was reasonably priced compared to those commission shops feeding you BS.

David explains the diagnosis/situation well. Gives you options for your care along with the price points. I had my brakes replaced and rotors resurfaced. Work was completed in 2 hours. Highly recommend.

David is incredibly TRANSPARENT. Hard to find in a mechanic sometimes. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done and I had no surprises. Even let me look under the truck with him to see what to keep an eye on in the future (200k mile Tacoma). Very fair pricing and work done in a timely manner. Id recommend these guys to anyone.

David has been my mechanic since 2017 and does amazing work. He is communicative and goes above and beyond. He doesn’t do work that doesn’t need to be done but will always follow up when work is done. I can’t recommend him enough.

David runs the place and gives great pricing. Down to earth and honest shop. I’ve worked on my share of cars plenty in my life and I’m older now and don’t feel like crawling under a car anymore, don’t have the time, and I can pay ‘a few bucks’ to have others fix things from time to time. Gen X here with mechanic experience and I can smell a bullshitter a mile a way. The shop’s mechanics are good and knowledgeable and don’t waist time. You want an honest good shop, you’ll find it here 👍.

Very Nice service, went there for several repairs already. The owner David is very patient, he inspected carefully and explained everything very clearly to make sure I’m well informed and understanding the issues before taking any repair or maintenance action. He put customer’s safety and real needs as top priority. Will definitely go there again for future repair and maintenance needs.

After we moved to San Diego 3 years ago, we always have our ours serviced and repaired by Dave. He is honest, always gives a fair price and won’t let you do unnecessary fixes. We are really satisfied with the work. And I always recommend this place to my friends.

I was referred to David at San Diego Auto Care Center from a friend. Not being well versed in the auto world I emphasized that I wanted to go to someone that would not take advantage of me and over charge everything. David was extremely kind and knowledgeable. He not only had fair pricing but took the time to explain what he was doing and why it needs to be done. He broke it down for me to easily understand and wasn't pushy to get everything done at once like some other mechanics. My friend and his family have been going to David for years and I see why. The short and sweet: David’s pricing is great, he is incredibly knowledgeable, has great communication, works quickly, and is not only thorough but goes above and beyond for his customers. David’s shop is located in the back lot and not immediately seen when you enter, but is worth visiting. As someone who doesn’t know much about cars, getting work done is stressful and I usually have to call my dad frequently to avoid getting taken advantage of… BUT DAVID IS AMAZING. I actually felt comfortable and confident dropping my car off without calling my dad. David listened to my concerns about my car, explained possible problems, and explained the process of getting my car repaired. He explains everything clearly and in a way that makes sense to even me. His communication is top tier and is very honest. Not once did I feel like he was trying to up-charge me. He was clear in what should be addressed for safety reasons and what I could come back for in the future. He constantly tried to find solutions and the best deal to help me fix my car without breaking the bank. He was also willing to go on a side quest to get my wheel unlocked at a dealership since I lost my wheel lock key. He ended up finding my key and putting it in a pouch so I wouldn’t lose it again. He sent pictures to help explain why parts needed to be replaced but also provided alternative solutions if I couldn’t afford or didn’t want to repair it. My dad actually asked me to thank David on his behalf for taking such great care of me and my car. You can tell David is a family man and skilled professional who takes a lot of pride in his work. I never thought I’d say this about an auto shop but I will 100% be returning for any and all future car needs.

I have visited the store twice for some small fixes. David is very patient and honest. He always listens to my concerns, takes the time to explain the process and all relevant details to me, and overall takes great care of my car. The price is fair and transparent - David makes it very clear what is urgently needed to be done vs. suggestions for future maintenance and care. I feel heard and respected as a customer. Highly recommend this place!

Phenomenal shop, David got me in and out very quickly, and fairly. Had to get brake pads replaced, he explained the process very thoroughly and all my potential options, at very fair prices. No extra ridiculous fees, just straight to the point, and genuinely cares about his customers and professionalism. Also, came in from out of town and it was very clear that even not as a local, or returning customer that I was getting fair and honest treatment, something I have definitely not encountered other auto shops. Beyond impressed with this shop, David’s customer service and the repair work done!

San Diego Auto care Center is good business! I had a very honest transaction the pleasant owner David Daou. Answered my phone call when I was in. I needed help and even on a Sunday evening he returned my call. He diagnosed the issue within 12 hours of my car being delivered by tow truck. He really helped me out when I was stranded, my car had broke down.

David is very thorough about letting you know what work your vehicle needs done, how much it will cost and if it is an urgent issue or something that can be done later. He is very communicative and will always let you know if they discover any issues with your vehicle that need to be addressed. I was recently in a minor accident and David was the first person I called to ensure my car was safe and roadworthy. I was looking at a used, late model vehicle at a dealership. The dealer, however, wanted me to go to another close by dealer to have the car checked out. I did not want to do that. I found this place online, read some reviews, & took it in. David was very knowledgeable & thorough. For a reasonable fee, he checked it out & pointed out a couple areas I needed to be aware of. One was even unreported/noted undercarriage fender/bumper damage I hadn't seen that had been half repaired & was not on carfax. Thanks to David, we were able to negotiate a lower price & now plan to bring both of our vehicles to his shop for all maintenance/upkeep.

I’ve been bringing my car here for years. David always provides excellent service and advice re my car, giving me realistic timelines esp when I’m on a time crunch. My side view mirror was shattered and he was able to take my car in to give me a temp fix until a replacement arrived so that I could drive my car around.

Great service. David broke down what they were going to look for before they started. Once they found issues he was upfront with what the costs and did not pressure me to do anything. Exceptional service and next-level efficiency. Its affordable too, with the final price I paid being about $400 less than what Firestone projected. This place is a must of you have any issues or questions about your car.
