I really hate making bad reviews, but originally I came into sals because I had noise coming from the backside of my car. At the time they swore it was my alternator, he said that he had a great price on a brand new alternator and with labor I’d get it for around $700. That wasn’t the issue sound continued, I made a review, they fixed the noise. Had nothing to do with the alternator. Fast forward, to now I’m getting my car serviced and the first thing they point is my alternator. Shows me this bolt/screw hanging out. Nobody else serviced the car and the mechanic did a house visit and we analyzed it together. He was so mad he told me to take a picture of it to send to Sals to show how dangerous this is. Also the mechanic stated too that this definitely is a rebuilt alternator and Not brand new and could tell by the wiring. But it makes sense as to why he got the part for “less” than what it’s worth. Trying to sell used parts as new to people that can’t tell. All in all I’m super disappointed and dissatisfied money wasted. And I’m not changing my review either.

Absolutely the very best mechanic service in all of Houston. Sal is not the cheapest but the best never is and just by his morals and character he would never sell you something you did not need. My wife knows if something goes south on her car to get it straight to Sal's.

I had an issue with my car that no one could figure out, but Sal’s Auto Repair saved the day! My engine was making strange noises, and after taking it to two other shops with no luck, I brought it to Sal. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within a day. I had my car towed here after another shop caused damage and my brakes became compromised. Ultimately, the other shop needs to take accountability but Steve was very nice and patient. I appreciate his level of honesty and I am highly considering taking my car here moving forward.

I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with Auto repair shops whether it was employees trying to swindle me into buying something I didn’t need, them being inconsiderate of my time/finances, or just being flat out rude. This is the first auto repair shop where I can say that the customer service was not only excellent but the work they do is efficient and timely. Highly recommend.
