I grew up in this area and have always known many people who bring their cars here for excellent service, including my family and friends' families (for three generations). The team here is knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and above all, honest. A few months back, my car broke down while I was out of state. After receiving the run-around from my dealership and another mechanic, neither of whom could diagnose the issue, I took my car to Salerno's as soon as I could. They identified the problem within an hour and charged me a very fair price. I’m not sure if this has been highlighted in other reviews, but this shop also engages in generous acts of charity for the community, such as donating toys and goods to childcare centers, senior homes, food pantries, and schools. Their commitment to giving back is truly commendable, and I will always recommend them!!

I never leave reviews, but Salerno Auto Body warrants an exception. My new car had a break-in with major damage to 2 panels, and they towed it within an hour on a Sunday, reached out frequently with updates, dealt with my insurance company 100%, did the repairs perfectly and quickly, detailed the interior, and threw in a free side mirror just because they ordered the part for someone else who didn’t end up coming in for it. (Mine was knocked off in a separate hit-and-run, and I’d been quoted $800 for the repair by another shop previously.) Makes me almost glad to have gotten robbed, because finding a mechanic and body shop this good is priceless.

Stopped by for an oil change. Pulled up and got in right away and was done in 10 minutes. I had an issue with my window the mechanic fixed for me (no charge) - just bc he was kind (His name is Ravi, nicest guy!) - definitely recommend.

The only auto body shop I ever go to. The guys are exceedingly friendly, kind, and helpful. Always! I even drive a little bit out of my way to get gas here instead of anywhere else. I’ll happily support Salerno’s for as long as I live in Brooklyn. <3

Salerno are the real deal. I drive from Queens to have my van serviced here. Recently needed some help with a coolant leak. I arrived without an appointment and within 20 min they had diagnosed the issue and gave me a quote on a new water pump. Super fair prices, job done same day. you will not find a better place to get your auto serviced

Would like to give a special shout out to Ravi and Salerno for attempting to help me out. My request was not the usual request they’d hear about but nonetheless tried to get me squared away with my issue on my Scion FRS. At the end they were unable to fully help me, but I appreciate the time and effort taken by Ravi in particular to try and resolve my issue. Great shop and great people. Thank you guys again for trying to help

Came in for an oil change and a couple air filters needed replacing as well. I didn’t make an appointment and they got me in and out of there within 30 minutes. Busy place too and very efficient. Honest shop and a fair price. Friendly people too. Will be going back for future work!

My experience with this auto shop was great. I've recently purchased a car a few ago and had my car crashed while it was parked. It took 3 weeks to fix my car. They communicated very well. Sal the owner is very personal. He will text or call you personally about the car. They returned my car back the way it was before it was crashed. This establishment is very professional and will be coming back if it's needed Thank you Sal.

When my parked car got hit, I filed my insurance claim and they set me up with Salerno's for repairs. Sal called me himself and went out of his way to communicate with speed and clarity. He was such a gem to work with -- so nice and so responsive and even kept my car in the shop until I was back from my vacation. The car looks absolutely beautiful now, and pickup was easy and fast. Lovely people. Also, Fortunato's is right next door, so enjoy the neighborhood ;)

Be wary if you're a women of being scammed for car repair/inspection services. Honest service is hit or miss...I've been here maybe 5 times over the past 4 years. Today a simple state inspection turned in costing about $100 due to added cost of replacing two air filters. In the past they charged $20 per filter, but this time without mentioning the price they charged $30 per filter. I've given them a few stars bc they are fast and you don't need an appointment & are polite...but I'm definitely going elsewhere now. They did a poor job ages ago fixing an ignition coil issue (after spending $200+ on new coils & plugs my car started acting up again a week later & then they quoted me min 300 to fix it again, so I fixed it myself by putting in my own coil for $75). So overall, avoid unless you know your stuff or are a man.

Sal and the entire team at Salerno Auto Body were professional, attentive, and more importantly, did an immaculate job of repairing my vehicle and returned it to me so clean it looked like it had been sitting at a dealership. I’m just glad I decided to go with a GEICO Auto Repair Xpress facility such as Salerno Auto Body. These guys rule.

My car was hit by a forklift and I immediately thought of taking my car to Salerno's. They are the neighborhood’s most reliable, dedicated and responsible mechanics and body shop professionals that I have known for over 15 years. Salerno kept in contact with me throughout my cars repairs. After several days my car was repaired beautifully and detailed my car inside and out. I swear it looked brand new, right out the box. I highly recommend these guys 100%. Salerno’s take pride in what they do and it shows through their work and dedication in providing their customers the best. Thank you for all you do.

Do not go here !!!! I repeat do not go here! A bunch of crooks ! Owner is very rude and disrespectful . They will try and scam you especially your insurance . I had a hit and run collision and they damaged my vehicle more so they can get more money from my insurance ! The owner was upset when I sent my insurance company pictures knowing he had already did some extra damage to my car ! Do not sign the paper to have your vehicle towed It states they become owners of your vehicle and entitled to dismantle it ! And Trust they will dismantle it to get more money from your insurance! Once my insurance denied the claim Sal was upset and He told my insurance company in order for me to get my vehicle they had to pay for the storage & tow ! Meanwhile my car was never in storage it was placed on the street corner in an area with abandoned buildings and he left my keys in a rusty mailbox belonging to a building that was abandoned ! My insurance company still paid him storage fees even though my car was never left in storage . Terrible service and I don’t recommend to anyone . Do your research of auto body shops for collision before coming here!!!!!!! This was my first and worst experience ever ! I understand the mechanic business but to be so desperate to scam someone is terrible! If I could have put no stars I would have but unfortunately I can’t ! Reply to owner: This wasn’t no drink and drive incident your a legit scammer! Im sure you will be out of business one day!
