I would like to post a real experience I had with my 1998 Ford F-150 and meeting Rusty for the first time today, 01/06/2025. My name is Dave, I am 60, disabled and have a fixed income. I met and talked with Rusty about some electrical issues and he tested and knew the problem right away. He offered to take me home and pick me up if needed!!!! However I have been friends with Penzoil for years and had a warranty. I know good people when I meet them, and this place is GOLD!!!!

Very honest Repair Shop. Came in to have a rear brake light replaced and a state inspection done. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Highly recommended.

Rusty’s is my new go to shop. Rusty and the crew fixed my 22 Silverado rear gate module when the dealer wouldn’t. Very honest and they know what it takes to fix these newer vehicles.

HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!! Took my vehicle to Rusty's to have a major engine issue repair. Unfortunately, the OEM part required for the repair (that I provided) had several issues that greatly increased the complexity and difficulty of the repair. What is truly amazing is that Rusty himself significantly assisted the mechanic assigned to the repair which was timely completed for the original estimate. Such customer service, quality of workmanship and attention to detail is truly unique. Any prospective customer needing an auto repair should absolutely take their vehicle to Rusty!

Best place by far that I have been to I didn’t even ask how much it would be to see what he will charge and it’s reasonable for sure! Haven’t been to the place in a year but just remembered to leave a review so hope it helps others.

I will never go anywhere else again! The 5 star rating is legit! 🙌🏻 I took my car to another place to have a humming noise fixed. $500 later, the car was not actually fixed. Rusty’s was recommended to me, I work nearby, so I thought I would give this place a try. They fixed the car (no more humming noise) and it cost much less than I had anticipated. They were honest with what needed repaired and what didn’t, and the price on labor was fair.

I don't leave many reviews but Rusty's Automotive Repair blew me away! My ac was barely working and a friend suggested I might just need more refrigerant and was referred to Rusty's. I spoke with an employee on the phone and they suggested I bring my car in first thing in the morning because they get busy quickly. I dropped my car off at 7:05 am and was told that they were running behind but would get to my car asap. Barely an hour later, I'm about to walk out the door for work when I get a call that my car is ready for pick up! WOW!!! They were extremely friendly and it was so much cheaper than I had feared. I plan to bring my car here from now on. Thank you!!!

I took my 2012 Honda Accord in to Rusty when the water pump failed. Turns out the pump in my car is extremely rare -- he went through 3 suppliers, sent his wife to the dealership, and overnight shipped from Dallas to get the right part -- He didn't even charge me for the additional cost or hassle of getting it. Rusty is by far the most honest mechanic I have ever worked with -- he solves problems as quickly and affordably as possible and He does it right -- no cutting corners. If you value the trust and accountability of talking with the OWNER every time you walk in or call AND with excellent communication and professionalism -- choose Rusty. I promise you, he is one of the best in Houston. Even a few days later, I was halfway to Austin and broke down with an unrelated issue with my car. I called him -- he gave me genuine and helpful advice even though he knew he wouldn't get paid on this one. He is always in your corner. I got things worked out only because he recommended another mechanic near me. Thanks Rusty! You will always have my business!

I was extremely skeptical of their near perfect 5 star reviews, but after experiencing it myself, they were well deserving of it. My car’s horn wasn’t working, so they diagnosed and gave me fair price to fix it. Later on, I thought there was issue with the brakes, they found that it was still working properly and didn’t bother to charge me the cost of checking it. Will come again.

I was visiting Houston from Florida and my car wouldn’t start I took it to Rusty on a Wednesday afternoon close to closing time, one of the mechanics ran a diagnostic and told me what it could possibly be, it was going to be very expensive like $1200, Thursday morning they looked at the car again and saw that it would be an easy inexpensive fix and gave me a call around 8:30 saying my main injector harness had bad connection, they fixed it asap and I was back on my way to Florida by 9:30 I would highly recommend Rusty’s Automotive Repair for any automotive issues

I've been a customer for many years and always extremely happy. Professional, honest and fair prices. Several times I have taken a car in thinking some work might need doing and they have said, no, it really doesn't, save your money, do it next visit. I will not go into any other automotive place without a male accompanying me because I know how the story goes and that I would wind up getting fed scare stories and paying for things I didn't need. I would give Rusty's 6 stars out of 5 if I could.

We have been going to Rusty's for almost 20 years (when it used to be Cornerstone). Rusty is an honest man. His team are top notch. He has seen us through every vehicle we have owned. He and his team can do almost anything. He'll tell you up front what is required and est. costs before they do the work. With Rusty, don't be shy about telling him what you can afford here and now and what can wait another month - he'll let you know what is critical and what you can put off for a little bit. He's that honest. I refuse to take my vehicles to anyone else. His rates are far less expensive than other places. He's fair about the pricing. Anyways, I can't say enough about this place.
