Walked right in after calling and telling the shop the problems I was having with my car, they were able to get my car first thing in the morning, and a day later my car was ready and has been running amazingly ever since. I will be brining my car back for any and all maintenance. Great job Rising Sun!

I took my car to another shop recently, and they hit me with a laundry list of supposed repairs—brakes, suspension ball joints, the works. It didn’t sit right, so I decided to swing by Rising Sun for a second opinion. I’d heard they’re all about professionalism and honesty, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! Turns out, my brakes are good to go, and my suspension joints are solid—no need for all those unnecessary fixes. What a relief! Rising Sun has officially won me over. They’ve got a customer for life! From now on, I’m taking my car straight to them, knowing I can count on their honesty and skill.

I took my car to rising sun after the dealer told me I had a ton to fix for a second opinion. Rising Sun only told me I had to fix one thing vs. 6-8 from my dealer. They got it done quick with reasonable prices per my research ($1,600) to replace all 4 break pads and fluid.

As Always - Great Experience with Rising Sun on Lamar. Found and corrected issue quickly. Identified issues that were covered under warranty. They did all the legwork to get it paid. Got vehicle back in a couple of days.

The mechanics at Rising Sun are great to work with! They are super knowledgeable and it is the only shop I go to with 100% confidence. They recently replaced the propeller shaft assembly on my 07 4Runner and it is driving excellent. Once again, everyone at Rising Sun is great to deal. Would definitely recommend to any friend.

Customer service was prompt polite and efficient. Once they looked at the car they texted the proposed work and the estimates. I selected my choices and they got to the work. All done the same day. I find their prices lower than the dealer and their location on South Lamar is so convenient.

These guys get it. They understood how weird I was about my truck, but after my first experience here, I will ONLY be taking my G.O.A.T. to Rising Sun South. The customer service was professional. The explanation of the complex stuff was understandable. The price was competitive and the work was on time and pro level. (Batting 1,000!) Having grown up near the South location, I always saw the coolest vehicles at RSS and wondered what it was all about. When I got my cool vehicle recently, I took it here to find out. I discovered behind the scenes the founder and owner are still there keeping things honest and local and up front fellow Unicorn Ro and Alexis are making things happen. What a gem I've found! In a fast changing Austin, it's great to see this local establishment staying true to what makes this town great; good people doing good business. Thanks y'all!

Wow! I just had another great experience with Rising Sun Automotive. I had a door handle not working properly on my Toyota. I thought it might be a door misalignment that would require a body shop but I wanted to check with Rising Sun first since I trust them with everything else on the car. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it on the spot while I waited. These folks know what they’re doing and are extremely reasonable with their prices. They are the best value in town! I highly recommend them.

Brandon from Rising Sun Auto repair recommended Twomey and I feel like I scored two gems! Both shops (one repair, the other body shop) are friendly, honest and is the first time I not only didn't feel worried about being taken advantage of regarding car "stuff" but walked away feeling good that there are still truly honest, fair and good people around us. Thank you Brandon for listening to my car problem and having the good energy behind the recommendation to go to Twomey's. And, thank you to the fella at Twomey's who helped me with the rear camera view sensor. You both are impressive!

Brought my car here after going to the Toyota dealership for years and it was such a breath of fresh air in terms of the customer experience! The team was so knowledgeable, thoughtful, responsive, and quick. They were transparent about all the items they flagged including some photos! I am so impressed with their customer service and am switching from Toyota Dealership to them.

We were surprised that the axle seal was compromised but grateful it was caught in time. Getting in and out of your service is a challenge but having you so close to home far outweighs that experience.

Good work, but expensive. - Charging $370 for a starter for Acura TL, when the part is widely available for $200. - $150 diagnostic fee when the starter motor is literally sparking on start attempt... is questionable. Still charging diagnostic fee while charging high rates for labor for work accepted is questionable. - $500 in labor to replace a starter... is questionable. - $21 "processing fee" on the invoice, is just bad business practice.

Love the team at Rising Sun! They go above and beyond. Have been my goto for 4 years now! Had a major issue come up, they lead the charge in getting the extended warranty to cover. As always, Alexis scheduled me when they had an opening so they were able to start the repairs right away, I was only without my car for a short period of time. She explained all my repairs thoroughly and helped me understand any options that may have applied. She also accommodated me with after hours drop off and pick up which was very helpful. I won’t be going anywhere else for repairs!
