Richter is great! I'm a certified shade tree mechanic. I am not very easy trusting of mechanics or repair shops. Don is one of the most honest guys I know. He does his best to take care of his customers. He doesn't try to hit you with all the fluff like the other places do. He figures out the problem, fixes it, and that's it. He is literally the only person (besides myself) I trust with my vehicles.

I have been coming to Richter since 2012/13 and he’s always been an honest mechanic. He is the only person that I allow to touch any of my vehicles. Definitely check him he now has serviced my moms and brothers vehicles. Thanks for keep my journey up and going. We appreciate you.

I walked in needing an estimate to repair my headlights/wiring and Donald was able to fix them right then and there! I was good to go in under an hour and he was so helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back should I have any more car troubles!

DO NO TAKE YOU VEHICLE HERE! It took Donald 3 months, 2 weeks and 2 days to do a repair on my FJ. He blatantly lied to me every time I saw him with misinformation about when he was even going to get started to what was going on and when he was going to be done. Even after I got my vehicle back I still had to do work on it to correct things they did wrong. Do not believe a word Donald says especially when he says he can fix anything. I even had to source my own parts. I do not recommend this shop over your local jiffy lube with this con artist who is so buried in cars all he can do is complain about how much work he has. Let's help him out and lighten his work load by NOT giving him any. Little man on a big power trip when he has your car by the lug nuts!

I busted part of my suspension/power steering system, and I couldn't replace it myself with the tools available to me. I asked Richter to take a look at it, and told him the issue. When I called him several days later, he told me about a bunch of things wrong with my car that I was already aware of. Asking him about the issue with my car veering to one side, he said I just needed an alignment (absolutely not true). Asked him about a coolant leak too, and he then said he would call ME when he was done. So I waited a week, called him, and he hadn't answered or returned my call that day. I'd had enough since I'd been waiting ten days when my car was still drivable. I went up there to his shop, and my car was sitting in at the front of his lot with both of my front windows down. My car was full of dust, and my WALLET with my debit card and license were in glove compartment. The forecast actually called for rain that night. So I put my spare key in the ignition, and drove off without looking back. If you are looking for SIMPLE, simple repairs like oil change, maybe a simple part replacement, I bet Richter is your guy. But if you need a SERIOUS diagnosis of your vehicle, go to a bigger shop like Pep Boys, CBA, or Auto MD. Oh, also, his voicemail is kinda funny. He actually gives off this exasperated sigh since he can't keep his shop in once place. I think a voicemail, which might be your first interaction with customers, should be a little more professional. Edit: The issue was NOT my alignment. I needed the entire rack and pinion replaced.
