10/10 Customer Experience 10/10 Wealth of Knowledge 10/10 Honesty I don't leave reviews on Google... ever. But I had to after my experience with these guys. Author and the team were very honest, exercised excellent customer service, and had a vast knowledge when it came to auto repair and maintenance. I will recommend to friends and family without hesitation. They deserve 6 stars but I can only give 5 on google reviews.

I can only say good things about this shop. From the top down, it is professional yet with a family approach of helping each customer who arrives, either with an appointment or coming in off the street with an emergency. My great experience was accidental. I usually go to an auto shop nearby this one, but was dropping off a neighbor. I went in and asked if I could get an inspection for my 2007 Toyota. Brian put me in for 8 am next morning and made a note to give me an extra 30 minutes in case I couldn't make it at 8. I also got an oil change the next morning. My car was done in an hour. Brian explained to me they could not pass the car because of a broken foglight. I told them the other place passed it the year before. He came back in fifteen minutes and told me he could get a replacement for 20.00 in a few days. The next week I came back, he replaced both foglights because the other lense was oxidized badly, and the car was passed. I have found a new place for my car service. Try them out, and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Thank you all who work here! 😃 ..

Arthur and the team got us in the same day for a pre purchase inspection. Arthur walked us through the different components of the inspection in the garage. Allowing us to put eyes on the car during the walk through was very helpful and appreciated. Arthur was a pleasure to work with and the team were kind and thorough. This is the place to go. I spoke with Arthur on the phone and he was very nice and helpful, we broke down in Richmond and needed a tow and the tow truck driver was also very nice and helpful, he let us ride with him over to the shop. The service was quick, only taking about 2.5 hours since we got picked up, despite having other cars. Definitely recommend, we called 5 other places and non of them where as accommodation as Richmond Auto Repair & Towing.

Update 1/18/25 - edited to 1 star from 3 stars. I will end up needing both my rear calipers replaced due to the lack of communication by this shop. This would not have been needed had I been asked if I wanted a resurfacing or replacement when the seized caliper was found. I would assume the 4.9 average rating of this shop is because they ask you to give them a 5 star review before they work on your car in return for a discount and are extremely pushy. I wonder if the lack of communication was in retaliation for not providing a five star review before they worked on my car? Had I been given the option to replace my rear calipers I would not have an issue. Had brake work done here a few months ago. Prices are good for the area and work was timely. Open on a Saturday which was a major plus given I was working 70 hours a week during my temporary summer placement in the Richmond area. However, unprofessional and poor communication. While working on my brakes, they found one of my rear brake calipers was seized. Instead of notifying me they resurfaced it without communicating having found the issue, I would have chosen to haven both rear calipers replaced to as a pair had I been notified of the additional issue. Additionally left unidentified tool hanging off rear strut assembly which caused significant noise that I had to take time to find and remedy. That being said, the rest of the work was high quality and price was competitive.

We drove in from out of state and lost power steering and had other issues. They were able to tow us and get us in right away and were super nice and helpful in our tough situation. Arthur was really helpful and kind. Would highly recommend coming here if you have even the slightest issue. We have a bmw and they were able to diagnose the issue right away.
