I took my 1966 Buick Special 310 4 brl to Renown for an oil pressure problem. I had the engine rebuilt by an out of state shop it ran great but had low oil pressure at hot low idle and weak hot high idle oil psi. Rupert was able to diagnose the root cause of the oil pressure problem within 4 hrs as being the cam bearings. Now mind you I had a 3-year-old rebuild so that was not what I wanted to hear. After giving them approval to R/I the engine and perform a tear down the root cause was verified as the cam bearings. Rupert moved forward spec'd the engine out and found the cylinder taper was also out of spec. Approval was given for an engine rebuild. I was still kind of shakey on the repair process but I received a pic from Drew the business manager of my car I don't remember what the photo was but there was a fender cover on my car. To me this was the point of total trust because Rupert was doing the right thing when nobody was watching. From that point on they were driving. Fast forward to job completion they answered all my questions car looks great sounds great runs great. Good communication throughout the repair process. Drew, Joseph, and Billy were outstanding to work with. I even tried to poach Rupert to come work on heavy machinery where I work. Rupert is a craftsman not a mechanic. Yes, Renown is hard to get on the phone if you cold call them. They are super busy. I left a message and got a call back. I would recommend going to their shop and talking to Drew or Joseph. Understand that they are a time and material shop they do not work flat rate. They will ballpark cost but understand its ballpark not set in stone. However, they are good stewards of your money and try to keep cost down. I would highly recommend Renown to perform your classis car repairs, I made this google account just so I could leave this review. Great people great shop

The Renown Restoration Team is second to none! The quality, craftsmanship, experience, expertise and creativity that went into my 1969 Camaro restoration blows my mind as I look through the project pictures and stare at the car in my garage. Their communication throughout the process was great and I knew I could drop by the shop at any time to see the progress. My wife and I are now living the dream as we drive our restored Camaro around town. We literally can't stop anywhere without people asking about the car and it's beautiful custom mixed hugger orange pearl paint job. Five Stars! Highly Recommend if you want your car done right!

Joseph, Drew, Bill and the the rest of the crew at Renown Auto is a laid-back, but professional group. I had them perform a mechanical restoration on my Jeep CJ7. Radiator back to the fuel tank. While she may be 40 years old she has a new lease on life and is fun to drive once again. The work was top notch and it came in right at budget. Already have another project in mind. Thanks guys!

I brought in my car that had a lot of paint damage from bird droppings. They did a great job polishing out the damage, and then applied a ceramic coating to protect the paint. The car has never looked better!

I took my 1963 corvette to Renown to fix the horn, fuel gauge and radio. All repairs were completed. I was impressed with the care and attention to detail they exhibited. And when I picked up the car it was cleaned and detailed to a show shine. They did a great job and the final bill came in under their estimate. Very professional shop.

Just picked my 71 Mustang up from Renown. Absolutely awesome job! Made the mistake of taking the car to another shop and had to have Renown fix the sub-par work they did. Got my brake working right! Also identified the wrong Camshaft was installed limiting the vacuum pressure to the Master Cylinder. Also had them change out my wiring harness and correct the Holly EFI installation. They never started fixing something they noticed needed repair without asking how I would like to proceed. They even detailed the car after all the work was done. The entire team are pros, I will not be taking my Mustang to anyone else from now on! Car drives like a champ now!

Renown Auto Restoration did incredible work on restoring my 2008 Porsche Boxster. Best decision ever working with Renown. Joseph and Drew were friendly, professional and kept me informed during the entire process. The work is top notch and my car looks better than brand new. You can see the before and after pics attached with the sun damage to the paint and how Renown fixed it up. Renown Auto Restoration is fantastic! They are all honest professionals and always treat you as their # 1 customer. I have had my 1972 Karmann Ghia fully restored. From top to bottom and inside out they completely brought to life a car I always wanted growing up in California. They have always taken the time to show me the progress along the journey of the restoration. I want to thank all of them from the auto body, paint shop, mechanics, detailers, and managers for the wonderful work they have performed. In addition, because of their expertise, I have had several vehicles detailed by Renown. They make the color of the car just shine. Renown did a great job in a full restoration of my 1967 Camaro. The car had a lot of issues with rust and a previous accident, and was not running well with the original engine. They brought the body and the engine back to its original condition like new. I get complimented on the paint all the time.

My 2010 STI sits outside in the Sun. It had protective film on the hood and fenders that had baked on there for 10 yrs. It was cracked, dry, stained and impossible to remove. I tried everything and it was going to take me forever and I seriously risked damaging the paint anyway. I was considering having the entire car repainted because it was looking pretty tired and that film had to get off there no matter what I did. I dropped it off with Drew (the detailer at Renown) to deal with. In his words, the film was kicking his ^(&*^ but he did it! Not only is the film gone, but my car looks like new again after he removed the film and detailed the exterior. I think the price for the work was fair and the quality of the work is fantastic. He saved me thousands of $$ since I'm no longer even considering a new paint job - it just doesn't need it anymore! I wish I had a before picture - maybe Drew does, but the transformation was awesome. THANKS!! Highly recommended and if I ever need that type of service again, Drew has my business.
